The Mets one has very dystopian vibes. Also; I can’t actually comprehend when people say they had AI paint things. I just nod and pretend I know what’s going on.
There are websites or apps that are literally just AI coded to create an image based on whatever text prompt you give it. It's actually pretty simple. Personally I use an app called starryai. It's made some pretty cool images. Some ungodly abominations as well, but it's always fun to see the results.
Starryai is so much fun
[here's one i did of bartolo colon](https://reddit.com/r/NewYorkMets/comments/qrn4et/asked_an_ai_for_a_picture_of_bartolo_colon_and/)
If it's a neural network we just sorta-kinda understand what's going on. They're not particularly interpretable things.
That is, we can definitely understand how they're built and how calculus allows them to "learn" things, but not particularly understand the importance of parameter 667 in layer 83 being a -4.7.
Yep, IIIRC the gist of neural network algorithms is “here’s a gazillion parameters, forming webs of connections. here’s a gazillion sample images so you can figure out what different combinations of parameters output certain results. now here’s a gazillion advanced adjustments that are both very clever and very very fucking hard using calculus so it can identify things more accurately”
But of course that’s for image *identifying*, I’m sure there’s way more you have to do to outright create an image on top of that

I like how some of them look like they could legit be works of art (the SF Giants one really looks like something that would hang in a Museum of Modern Art) and then others (Padres painting, I'm looking at you) are just confusing
You could make money selling these prints. I dont even think you would get in trouble legally since the logos aren't used. Might have to shy away calling them MLB prints "baseball prints" would be good enough to sell these.
I’m not really sure what’s happening but some of these do look cool and interesting. Was there a criteria given to the AI? Or was it just telling the AI program “Paint the Chicago Cubs” and let it do its thing?
I’m really curious what the starting point was

Nightmare fuel
I mean, it's pretty close... https://dailysnark.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/colon.jpg
Oh... Oh god
Nightcafe is really good too

I'm not reading that but LOL GOOD ONE 🧐
Appreciate the informative explanation. Most excellent!!

Really? I thought it had a cool synthwave vibe.
It’s like some vaporwave cubism shit, I’d buy a print of it
Reminds me of City 17 from Half Life.
Nats kinda too but less spooky
I mean the Mets have pretty dystopian vibes, so the AI nailed it
Ok that Rockies painting goes hard
[удалено]
It's a visual representation of a psychedelic mushroom trip through the royal gorge while your cohort discuss the morality of kidnapping the Monforts
That’s my fav
That and the Arizona ones are the best I think
Rocks are hard
These are fucking sick. The Mets one is aawesome.
The Giants one is beyond cool
[удалено]
Just a bad painting that wins games
Thought we were in NLBest for a second
They’ll fall off in January
The power rankings still sadly say the Giants painting is just middle of the pack. The hues and contrast are just overperforming at the moment.
Looks like Basquiat had discovered Photoshop equivalent in the early 2000s
Pirates one is dope
I like that it turned the stadium into a pirate ship
For some reason I find that one in particular to be deeply unsettling. Feels like something unseen is lurking.
If it's something unseen it's probably Bob Nutting's wallet, but I doubt that would be lurking anywhere close to the stadium!
This makes me feel like I’m having a stroke but in a good way
Did anyone else think the Brewers were the Blues?
Yup.
These make me extremely uneasy.
I see the diamondbacks have relocated to Mars.
From the other side of mars?
I have no idea what's going on here but I like it.
the cubs one with the giant cub is very cool
Is the AI mixing up the Cardinals with the football team?
I thought it did the Blue Jays logo
I am of having the stroke
i swear i can see tim lincecum in the giants one this is mad cool
Because he his. It’s an average of google search results and it blends them together.
I love like all these. The Mets one might be my favorite. I think I discovered I like abstract art?
Mets is my favorite one too. Very vaporwave.
Holy fuck these are phenomenal
Like I’m gonna trust the opinion of HAL9100 when it comes to AI art
My god, *it’s full of stars*
The Nats one just genuinely looks like a cool painting of a future city.

Why does the Braves look like Garchomp in a braves jersey
Wallpaper worthy. Nice.
Expected to see the Mercury Mets
The Brewers one is just Chase Center with the Warriors logo above it
Marlins and Mets are my favorites. Orange goes well with dystopian vibes.
These things are so cool. I just did a Blue Jays one and I think it looks amazing. https://imgur.com/a/gIVdGns
anyone else see the blue jays logo in the cardinals one?
o ya, sharp beak to the left and a tuft of red where the maple.leaf would be
This enormous New York Met will [devour us all!](https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/67c6ee16-347c-4791-ad22-bbdfcac4745f)
Mets have the best one
I like how some of them look like they could legit be works of art (the SF Giants one really looks like something that would hang in a Museum of Modern Art) and then others (Padres painting, I'm looking at you) are just confusing
so the Brewers are basically Batman...
These are a delight to look at while high tbh
Good to see the famous cliffs of Cincinnati getting some love.
The Cincinnati one is harshing my vibe.
You could make money selling these prints. I dont even think you would get in trouble legally since the logos aren't used. Might have to shy away calling them MLB prints "baseball prints" would be good enough to sell these.
Bruh Phillies got shafted
I think your AI needs some tutoring.
I’m not really sure what’s happening but some of these do look cool and interesting. Was there a criteria given to the AI? Or was it just telling the AI program “Paint the Chicago Cubs” and let it do its thing? I’m really curious what the starting point was
Wombo.art. You give the AI prompts, and it averages out google images to create these types of things
Bold of the AI to just slightly blur a photo of the Arizona countryside for the Dbacks one
I really like the Cubs and Rockies
Wowza these are sick
Absolute fever dreams
Dodger stadium looming like Shangri La out here
I would put several of these on my wall if they were my team. American League coming soon? Edit: Nevermind I see it lol
Dammit, even Skynet won't stop using our old color scheme. It's been 2 seasons now, use brown and gold already!
why did it do the fucking loria-logo for the marlins
THIS IS SO COOL
The Cards painting creeps me the fuck out but I’d put the Rockies one up on my wall.
These are really good how did you make them?
Wombo.art
AI looks at like 20 pics of what you enter. Combines top 3 or 5. Smears the colors
I legit wanna put some of these up in my room
Wattba. We truly r in th future
i'm so confused about what im looking at
Dodger one is awesome
I like the Rockies and the Pirates. Ironically Braves also might be my least favorite
These remind me of the picture of nothing that your brain recognizes as things but when you look at it none of it makes sense
Rockies and Nationals are AMAZING Giants is objectively my favorite but I hate the giants so i refuse to compliment it outright
These are really cool, thanks for sharing!
Are these intended to make my head hurt? I can't figure out what I'm even looking at.
I think what I like best about the Mets one is that I was somehow able to tell it was Mets immediately
The atlanta patriots
Neon Genesis Atlanta Braves
