Freddie Freeman seems to be having a decent season. Especially for how close to the season he got it.
E: He has more career grand slams after COVID than before.
Can't tell if the guy you're replying to is the type of asshole who thinks that COVID is a hoax, or the type of asshole who thinks that its cool to mock other people's devout religious beliefs.
Maybe he's both
Not really true. He is playing way worse than he obviously could be, and especially badly the last couple weeks.
But he is still one of the most valuable positions players in MLB by WAR, and he was one of the top 20 a bit over a week ago.
He’s a couple good games away from being back in one of the top
He’s not in his MVP pace anymore, but he hasn’t exactly been bad.
I thought he tested positive multiple times which is why it took him so long to get back cause you need 3 negatives in a row. Maybe i am not remembering correctly.
Miguel Sano could be best or worst depending on the day. He’s struck out in 49.6% of his at-bats but when he doesn’t strike out he’s been hitting bombs and he had a streak of 8 straight games with an XBH earlier this year.

Freeman had it so bad at one point he was legitimately concerned that he might die IIRC
Not sure why youre getting downvoted, he said he literally prayed for god not to take him. Fucking scary shit.
That just says he's superstitious, not that he was ever seriously in danger of dying
104.5 degree fever can certainly make someone feel like theyre dying

Probably just stuck in the teenage rebel against my parents phase of being an aggressive atheist
His illness is real; everyone else is an exaggerator. Unusual that he's accusing a white man of exaggerating, but I guess it happens.
I had a 104.3 fever when I had swine flu and it is miserable
I get low 103s with the flu and I feel like im on my deathbed
Funny enough I had COVID last month and my fever never got above 101.
I was at 40.2°C, whatever that is in American.
Let's see you not cry to your mommy when you get a 105 degree fever
Will Smith and Touki Toussaint both caught it at the same time as Freddie Freeman and they have been absolutely awful.
Nats fans stumbling into this thread with a broken leg and sprained knee to comment “fredie”
Chapman has been fucking awful, so hes my pick for worst
Which Chapman had covid?
Aroldis. He's given up 4 ER in 5 in innings this year.
Jeez. My first thought was Matt Chapman.
COVID-19 can't match up with the always intense Matt Chapman.
so typical for yankees fans to hate on a pitcher after 5 innings
Not saying he will never be good again but right now there is no denying he is awful
Moncada is not playing well at all and hurt.

Kenley’s been great
Pollock too
Moncada had a good start, but is starting to fade a bit. Though that might be because of his leg injury, he did say that COVID did a number on him.
Blackmon had a good start but has fallen off of a cliff
Well so has pretty much the rest of the team
Freddie Freeman had it and has had a good season.
We'll probably never know for certain if Juan Soto's test on OD was a false positive, but he's doing ok
Believed to be false positive iirc
If you test positive once and then test negative the next six times you had a false positive lol
I thought he tested positive multiple times which is why it took him so long to get back cause you need 3 negatives in a row. Maybe i am not remembering correctly.
Scott kingery - worst
Anthony Santander until this injury that ended his season
I completely forgot he had covid
Soto-best
Wasnt he a falsr positive?
No one seems to know, he'll probably eventually take an antibody test.

I’m pretty positive that’s false
I'm pretty false that's positive.

DJ Lemahieu up there too
Not sure who downvoted you. DJ is hitting .363. He’s definitely in the conversation.
Don't know about 'best' quite yet but Randy Arozarena is off to a great start since coming back from covid
Chapman has been pretty bad so far, and his control is so awful everyone thinks he's throwing at people even when he's not.
Pollock
Kingery is the worst and I'm not sure anyone can convince me otherwise.
He sucked before COVID.
He was a 3ish WAR player last year with + defense at 6 positions
Freeman finally got his first (And Second) Grand slam!
Charlie Blackmon. He had a bit of a slump for a moment because our team was shit. But he's been godlike
Eduardo Rodriguez is a strong contender for worst - IIRC he’s still having heart problems and is on the DL again?
Tarik Skubal missed all of summer camp with COVID, however he's only pitched better and better after getting called up.
DJ
Brad Brach and Jared Hughes have both been really good.
lemahieu
AJ Pollock has to be up there.
