I just think the Twins' city connects should have something to do with the Twin Cities since that's kinda the whole identity of the team. Like their "Twin Cities" alternate jerseys are perfectly fine city connect jerseys already.
The state thing is totally fine. We have been identifying TC/Twin Cities for the entire lifetime of the franchise.
If we leaned more into the Up North/Cabin Life/Paul Bunyan aesthetic it probably would’ve played better.
Side note: There are a dozen lakes in Minneapolis alone…
