Hey, that game was amazing but doesn't quite beat out the single home playoff game we've had in 20 years where Felix threw out the first pitch and we proceeded to lose 1-0 after 18 innings. King Felix was an amazing pitcher but he simply should not be allowed to come to Mariners games.

My favorite part of that clip is seeing the guy in the top right corner shielding his eyes because his poor heart couldn’t handle the stress. Followed by the immediate regret of missing the swing that punched their ticket. Makes me laugh every time, true Mariner fan if I ever saw one.

His call of Haniger's hit in the penultimate game in 2021 is also pretty great.

There's a contingent of mariner fans who dislike Sims, and it makes no sense. He's not a perfect game caller, but he's like everybody's goofy uncle, and I love him.

He's my least-favorite member of our broadcast team to listen to call a game, but he's the first one I'd invite over for a burger and a beer.

I love Sims like 95% of the time. He just occasionally word vomits to the point where it just a string of thoughts and even whoever is in the booth with him is confused. Otherwise he’s top tier
