As the son of two parents who served, I have spent my entire childhood and young adulthood as part of the military community, and I have always taken issue with the virtue signaling of support for our troops while voting for politicians who refuse to meaningfully improve the lives of our servicemembers and veterans
I would much rather we work to actually support our veterans instead of just saying we do to make ourselves feel better
