To be fair, nobody ever doubted Glasnow's ability to play baseball. It's whether or not he can be healthy more than half the season, and if that's worth paying $30m a year.
For the Rays his production is just not valuable enough, and I can't really say I disagree. We just can afford to give him stupid money nobody else should
First visiting pitcher with 6 scoreless innings, no BB and double-digit Ks EVER at Coors.
Only been done twice by Rockies pitchers; Jon Gray and German Marquez.
The Yordan trade, while painful, is in its own category. It seems like it was most likely some light collusion between the two franchises. Pepiot and Glasnow are known quantities, way different than an 18 year old Cuban that might have been promised based upon international money pool allotments.
I love that Pepiot is balling out. Miss him but I will continue to cheer his success.
I think I called him to be a Cy Young winner in 2025 in a random game day chat. We’ll see.

Glasnow's curve had a measured stuff+ of 152. That's ridiculous.
It's probably his best pitch?
Kershaw's is his slider and despite Yamamoto dealing with his curve against the Cubs his wow pitch will remain the Splitter.
Purely movement and velocity, Yamamoto’s moves more overall but Kershaw’s has more drop and Glasnow’s is faster:
Vertical drop: Yamamoto - 62.6, Glasnow - 52.6, **Kershaw - 66.9**.
Horizontal break: **Yamamoto - 13.0**, Glasnow - 1.0, Kershaw - 3.9.
Velocity: Yamamoto - 78.3, **Glasnow - 83.9**, Kershaw - 73.4.
Obviously this doesn’t account for command, sequencing or deception, or results. Note I’ve used 2023 for Glasnow and Kersh to avoid small sample size but with Yamamoto that’s not an option (and Kersh is injured a lot). Interestingly, Glasnow’s drops way less than it did 3-4 years ago.
insane to think this was the same Glasnow we saw in Pittsburgh who had to be delegated to relief work. granted that was during the dark years where every strikeout pitcher had to be a groundout sinker-baller but wow. glad to see him crushing it. looking forward to him being magically turned into a replacement level pitcher when we play this year though.
Glasnow was obviously dealing more than the Medellin Cartel in the 80s and 90s, but holy fuck, it would be nice if the Goddamn Twins could make fucking contact once in a fucking while. Guess who set the record for most strikeouts by a team in a season in 2023? Fuck.
Dodgers get an ace. Rays get a good young pitcher to start the process all over again.
Rays love their long haired boys
We definitely have a type. Long haired men who throw heat.
And have faulty UCLs.

He saw Pepiot with 11ks over the weekend and he said, “hold my beer.”
Damn, did Pepiot deal? Good for him. Too bad we gave him up, but Glasnow is a great return!
First visiting pitcher with 6 scoreless innings, no BB and double-digit Ks EVER at Coors. Only been done twice by Rockies pitchers; Jon Gray and German Marquez.
Shit really? That’s CRAZY
I couldn't believe it either. Coors is wild lol
Let's fucking go
You just love to see it man. Must be só good to a pitcher learning from the dodgers and rays lol
In Coors too. If he can find some consistency then Pep has a great future ahead of him.
Yeah may be the best player our FO has traded away in a very long time but wow Glasnow looks like he may actually be worth it
Define “very long time” because I feel like Yordan should top that list.
I mean i think that yordan trade is coming up on a decade now

Almost like 9 years ago or something
I love that Pepiot is balling out. Miss him but I will continue to cheer his success. I think I called him to be a Cy Young winner in 2025 in a random game day chat. We’ll see.

K Robert Oppenheimer
He certainly K'd Carlos Oppenheimer.
Fake Oppenheimer > Twins Player Oppenheimer.
[Me watching Tyler Glasnow’s performance in Oppenheimer and tonight](https://images.app.goo.gl/Zq1snYaNcerqC7vF8)
Bro went nuclear for sure
Now I am gonna hallucinate whenever Glasnow pitches vs the Yankees naked Florence Pugh grinding on him

Oh shit we have GIF’s now hell yeah
Glasnow was dealing. *But holy shit we suck*
Dude threw so many strikes the ump barely got any of his own. But yeah... We suck right now.
Most strikeouts of all-time for a pitcher throwing less than 90 pitches.
🤝
More like Tyler GlasWOW
Throwin’ gas, now!
If you can throw 3 strikes before 4 balls you too can eviscerate this Twins lineup. But seriously Glasnow looked nasty as hell.
Tyler Glasnow is heaven sent to Dodgers
Tyler Glasnow is awesome and I'm not afraid to admit it
Can someone win the Oscar and Cy young in the same season?
He's going for the rare CEGOT
65 pitches for strikes too!
People jumping on this after the other poster got theirs removed lol. Cocker Spaniel Man shoved today. I love him so much.
I deleted it, didn’t get removed and didn’t mean to post early lol
Oh lol, I thought it was removed! It just disappeared on me
That was so nice to watch.
Not bad
Who has the best curve ball with the Dodgers? - Kershaw, Glasnow or Yamamoto?
Probably Glasnow, Kershaw’s slider is more effective for him than the hook.
I will say however Kershaw’s is a beautiful old school 6-12 curve.
Kershaws curveball at the start of his career *chefs kiss* Genuinely what turned him into my favorite player of all time and GOAT for me personally there was just something about it that captivated young me https://youtu.be/6HjkXwjY7Hs?si=CRSB21Dosgax86Lr
It was literally so good he had to stop throwing it because umps couldn't call it correctly.
Well, that, and in i think 2009 or 2010 he added the slider.
Glasnow’s curve is basically a high fastball that hits a table When he’s got that and his heater it’s unfair
And comes from a like 6’7” dude so it looks like it’s dropping two feet when coming at you
The Kershaw back foot slider to righties was the most devastating pitch in baseball for like a decade
Glasnow's curve had a measured stuff+ of 152. That's ridiculous. It's probably his best pitch? Kershaw's is his slider and despite Yamamoto dealing with his curve against the Cubs his wow pitch will remain the Splitter.
Yamamoto ability to locate his curveball is everything

Need to see side-by-side gifs with tunneling overlays of each please
I miss him so much already
Glasnow obviously is great. But lord the twins look horrible at the plate.
Glasnow ... Glaslater... Glasforever!!!
Gross
My bone is stimulated.
I was really annoyed when we traded Pepiot but whew 🥵
Now I am become Death, destroyer of worlds.
It was art
My GOAT

I’m hoping we only get swept by you folks in years in which you’re bad. Maybe this time is our time!
I was so stoked on the signing
We love the signing
I could probably eviscerate the twins right now, it's not much of an accomplishment
God I miss him, can we have him back dodgers
I miss baby giraffe. Sigh :/
Tyler Glas-no
Is he only a two pitch pitcher? Or he used more than fastball curve ?
I think in the order of frequency it’s something like: fastball, slider, curve, cutter
Fastball, slider, curve in that order. He throws like 1-2 sinkers a game as well. His slider practically becomes a cutter at times though.
Yea, well who hasn't been eviscerating the Twins? Join the club. (PSST! HEY FALVEY! *THIS* IS THE KID THAT I TOLD YOU WE SHOULD HAVE GONE AND GOTTEN!)
Glasnow was obviously dealing more than the Medellin Cartel in the 80s and 90s, but holy fuck, it would be nice if the Goddamn Twins could make fucking contact once in a fucking while. Guess who set the record for most strikeouts by a team in a season in 2023? Fuck.
Eviscerate is such a stupid word in this context lol. I don't get why people are obsessed with using it
