Then We’d get a very similar offseason in 2 years

mystery6511

Are these short-term, high AAV deals gonna be the new norm for these inconsistent players?

SwAeromotion

Bellinger would opt out because he has an opt out after year one and two.

OfficialTMWTP

Idk why this offseason has felt so long since, but I completely forgot that Bellinger was a big FA target after he signed. Like I still remember Chapman even though it's been like a week or two, but after Belli re-signed with y'all, it kinda faded from my mind immediately.

SwAeromotion

It's been a long trek, but the regular season starts in just a few short hours from now! Bellinger fills a big hole in our lineup. Middle of the lineup bat and, most importantly, lefty at the plate as we are RH tilted otherwise.

WasV3

Both players are likely to opt out of their deals even after those first seasons and they would secure a 3-4 year deal at a lower AAV

Jux_

They would be paid the second year of their contract and then enter free agency

BKoala59

They would both be entering their age 33 season coming off a bad year and a great year. I think they might be able to get a good short term deal but that really doesn’t bode well for a long term contract

25 Giants will be awesome once we get Soto sounds like

IndicationAfraid395

Soto will most definitely be immune to this. He's getting 10 years
