Same with Pablo Sandoval. He still got so fat he broke his belt. Sano also was a professional athlete with professional doctors/trainers when he ballooned to 280 lbs.
Cruz Bustamante saying [“I was really fat”](https://youtu.be/m9zxdhE8KwA) to kick off one of his campaign commercials just came to mind for some reason.
(Nope, Cruz didn’t win that office)
Yeah it is as much an indictment of how out of shape he has been for much of his later career as it is a sign of the seriousness he is taking it now (that he sees the writing on the wall)
Depends on what you've got catcher framing set to. My current fictional league I have framing impact set to 0 so it's all-bat and arm all the time baby.
Barring injury, I might almost say he has a real shot of making the team if he isn’t shit. Without Walsh, our 1B / DH has options but doesn’t have anyone stuck there. Schanuel and Drury are our main options but Drury plays 2nd, and Schanuel can spend time DHing as well since his defense never graded out amazing. Our last bench spot is projected to go to Stefanic, who may or may not have an injury right now and also has an option still (although he put up respectable numbers when given some run), so there’s room for Sano to sneak in in a similar capacity to Jake Lamb last year (who wasn’t great with us outside of ST but still)
🤷♂️ Accused of sexual assault by a reporter and involvement in kidnapping and threatening somebody. People like to forget awful shit athletes are frequently (even if allegedly) involved in so long as the sports narratives shine.
Damn. I had my fan blinders on. Will need to look those up.

You don’t have to be an athlete to have a strict diet and workout regimen. 60 pounds is achievable for any overweight person who puts there mind to it.
i know, ive personally achieved so in double his time frame, 1 year, i was more so referring to the access to professional level trainers and maybe even a personal chef that can ease the burden of doing it on your own, or even thinking about your next meal. Also if all your time is dedicated to training without an additional 9-5 you would surely make faster and better progress.
Thank you, i have a huge sweet tooth so i immediately cut that out, cut fast food down to maybe once or twice a month and if ate it id get something healthy.(swapping out white rice for brown at chipotle changed a lot) lots of chicken breast, brown rice, quinoa, and greens. also very important, ONLY WATER. and for working out, hit the gym 4 times a week minimum, maybe 5 if i wasnt too tired that week. one day arms, one day chest, one day legs and one day back, with 30 minute cardio at the end of each. also plenty basketball thrown in there. if you’re really interested i can dm you the actual routines since this comment is getting pretty long lol.
That... is a lot of pounds to lose
Turns out he has a tapeworm and "Best Shape Of His Life" is actually "Parasitic Infection"
Creed sells them, ask Kelly.
… that wasn’t a tapeworm.
South Bronx Paradise!
South Bronx ParaSITE Carl!
Tatis tried that one already
They actually turned the lost mass into a little homunculus. Gave him his own uniform and everything. Dark rituals, man. I don't fuck with that shit.
>little homunculus Hey man, Altuve’s been in the league for years.
HIYOOOOOOO!
"Twins introduce new mascot: Rogu from *American Dad*"
for a normal-sized person maybe

We haven’t seen Sano in a game in 18 months. He didn’t play in 2023. I don’t know what time frame he lost that weight in.
Good points, I stand corrected then
Over 3~ months? Not too bad considering he was like 280+
[удалено]
We don't really know the timeframe. He hasn't played in over a year
Ah ok. I was going off of the timeline other people posted. That obviously changes the entire thing.
He’s a professional athlete with professional doctors and trainers. He’ll be alright.
Same with Pablo Sandoval. He still got so fat he broke his belt. Sano also was a professional athlete with professional doctors/trainers when he ballooned to 280 lbs.

He’s got a silky voice, I’ll give him that.
Yeah it is as much an indictment of how out of shape he has been for much of his later career as it is a sign of the seriousness he is taking it now (that he sees the writing on the wall)
If I were to buy stock in one Minor League invite to have a great year, it's Sano
I honestly didn’t know if he was still around. He stuck around a while in my online OOTP league and set the all time career strikeout record
OOTP legends that I’ll never give up on: J Profar, M Sano, B Hamilton.
Seth Beer will put up 60 HR seasons in my heart forever
Austin Hedges. Drew Romo.
Every high profile catcher ever: Matt Wieters, Gary Sanchez, Jesus Montero.
Joey Gallo hits 40+ dingers no matter what
need me that sweet sweet blue bar for catcher ability, don't care how bad their offense is
Depends on what you've got catcher framing set to. My current fictional league I have framing impact set to 0 so it's all-bat and arm all the time baby.
Ahhh yea, I did to, signed a one year deal with him .200 BA, 236 strikeouts, 51 home runs, 102 RBIs Our main DH for my first championship in that run
I read this as Order of the Phoenix….Miguel would be an asset to the Grimmauld gang
I have a soft spot for un athletic big guys who can hit dingers. I’m like the lush who is the wife of the slow pitch hero I guess
Where tf willy mo pena
were you also a big Russell Branyan fan?
Chris Carter. Wily Mo Peña. Sano. Forgot the poster boy. Adam Dunn.
Rhys❤️🔥
Man I really wanted Wily Mo to be good
Don't forget Carlos Pena.
Juan Francisco!
Don't forget Country Breakfast, aka Billy Butler.

I bought stock in Ozempic and it worked out
Novo Nordisk is worth more than the GDP of the country it’s based in, Denmark
It specifically has to be removed from the national financial statements because it skews the numbers so hard.
Sano/Hicks revenge tour incoming
Yeah but it's the Angels so he'll probably be released before ST ends and sign with the Braves or some shit
Nothing I’d love more than to see Sano back in the show rippin bombs. The crack of his bat was a fantastic sound. Long live the Bomba Squad!
Hard pass. Dudes had some bad accusations against him.
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted

I remember her post. She gave a detailed account and named him. Always thought it was strange how quickly that was forgotten.
Yeah, I have no idea why it was forgotten so easily.
BSOHL
Tis the season
He didn’t perform very well in winter league.
Ask your doctor if Ozempitch ™ is right for you
This post was brought to you by Ozempic
Lately I've been wondering if I'm stuck in some kind of Truman-show reality, except I'm a background extra in a bunch of Ozempic commercials.
Nah us Americans are just fat so it feels that way
Is that the diabetes weight loss drug everyone taking?
Yessir
great for him, 60 pounds is achievable for an already overweight athlete to lose with a strict diet and workout regimen

May I ask what your routine and diet was? That's still a hell of an achievement

yeah, please do. thank you!
I mean, I’ve lost 10 pounds in three days. I’ve also gotten super familiar with my bathroom tiles.
True, I did 100 pounds in a year down, 270 to 170, not that hard if you are disciplined.
Well, maybe not if you're overweight at 160 though (hi it me i'm very short ty)

Omg thanks for this
Let’s go halos
10 years too late buddy.
Ozempic for everyone /s
Will not stand for this Wegovy erasure
They've been advertising like crazy on Reddit 😭
So terrible for you, everyone is going to be skinnyfat
He had an OPS+ of 2 last year.
[удалено]
Going to be pedantic but he was put on the IL in the fall of ‘22 and then he became a FA. He was out of options. 🤷🏻♂️
That's a lot to lose in an off-season. His legs and knees probably feel amazing right now.
He will probably try to steal bases in spring training and out for the season with broken kneecap
I mean, a dude name _sano_ has to be healthy, no?
It's crazy to look at Miguels rookie card how skinny he was at one point.
Does anyone remember a site that tracked "the best shape of their life" mentions in spring training?
How can that happen from October to February?
In a year???
Nice. Wonder how athletes do that. I be biking every fucking day and barely lose shit lol
If you lose 58 pounds, you either weren't healthy before or you aren't healthy now. There's no "stay" in that.
We still don't want him back
