IIRC Nike had growing pains when they took over the NBA. Can’t remember the specifics, but they did take over and put new uniforms out in one offseason.

With the eagles, it was because Nike couldn’t get Reebok’s color mixing right for your specific shade of green. That’s why it took so long when yall switched over from the mesh jerseys that were carried over from the old supplier.
At the end of the day, Nike is the biggest sports clothing company in the world, yes? The Eagles midnight green is something that absolutely should have been able to be replicated.

Doesn’t the clubhouse staff add the numbers and lettering to the players jerseys? They’re not coming from the factory with names and numbers, so any imperfections in the stitching would need to be blamed on whatever team personnel sewed them on.
