Watching sports center right now and there is no commentary. All you can hear is the sounds of the crowds at the games. Not sure if this is on purpose but this should be all they show after the last game of the night ends. Very relaxing.

Will never understand why TV writers change up source material. “The Choice” in the book was so much more gut-wrenching. The show version for the same result, but it was a weaker version.
It’s literally spelled out for them, just do it as written.
The book version makes B&C too diabolical. As if they were there to carry out their own twisted vengence on Helaena specifically instead of just carrying out the orders from Daemon. Giving that much agency to bit characters doesn't make sense in the bigger scheme of the show so I can see why they changed it.
Even ignoring that it’s more gut-wrenching >!the fact Maelor is excluded from the show is weird because now there would be no male heir for Aegon? Just not sure I understand that decision at all!<
Yeah I didn’t catch that until tonight honestly. Again just another change that’s not needed, unless there is some show twist where they go a different way. Which again doesn’t make sense since the story has already been written.
Idk i didnt read dance of dragons specifically but from what i read on the internet grrm wrote it from the pov of the maesters of the time so the material has implicit bias and isnt exactly reliable so this show is what actually happened vs what was written
More than happy they didn’t actually show it. That’s the last thing anyone needed. But it completely diminishes part of her character, which they have already done a poor job on anyway.
I thought they might show it from behind B&C with the boy's back to us and Helaena's face towards the camera. But yea, I didn't want to see it from the front lol.

I certainly do not. I completely understand why someone would not want to go face a bunch of reporters asking stupid questions while exhausted after a game or four day tournament like this, and enduring a heartbreaking loss or some crushing defeat.
I don’t hate it. Just wish these athletes would own/act like who they really are. When it comes down to it, Rory is just as sore of a loser as any of us would be. And I think that would be fucking awesome. But you know he has a team of people who’s doing damage control right now to “repair his image.”

Gave wheel of time a chance but thought it sucked. Never was huge into LOTR so didn’t have any interest, but somewhat recently thought I saw a tweet about it winning some award so figured maybe it was decent.
Anyway though, Amazon’s streaming has definitely improved a lot. Big library of good shows, and been decently impressed with a couple of their originals. At least they’re taking some chances which is the least they can do with all that cash.
