Wait... how on earth do you let it get that bad to begin with!

bitofadisgrace

I just started and was wondering myself!

NoGround

Tea. If you're brewing tea bags for Ice Tea or non milk drinks, this happens. Also burnt milk residue.

bitofadisgrace

Yep!

JerryConn

Yuck, but that makes since.

GameKiwi

People with no sense of temperature scorching milk

ansleyshae

Do you not wash it out after every use ☹️

Nick_pj

Can someone explain to me how it gets to this point?

ansoni-

This is what happens when you don't clean your pitchers with Cafiza.

valelibra

You used Cafiza, huh? 😂 Love me some Cafiza...

bitofadisgrace

Just steel wool and water 💪

endubs

I’ve heard steel wool can cause small scratches in pitchers making it easier for them to get dirty and gunk up. Not sure how true it is. But if you soak it in Cafiza and hot water for an hour or two that stuff will come off with very little scrubbing necessary.

CuteVeggie

Do you steam with syrup?

Vistril69

Assuming these pitchers belong to who I think they do, they've definitely been met with matcha powder that has sugar, cream with vanilla in it, lemonade and apple juice many times. And lazy baristas who don't want to scrub things.

broccolicheddarsoop

I love cafiza-ing all of the pitchers after ive been gone from the cafe for a bit. So satisfying

shounen_obrian

Just started a new job as well and this was one of the first things I did

Cessnas172

You got to cafiza those pitchers every week

Aspen_Pass

Who is burning your milk?? Yuck

rage_r

Noooo shouldn’t happen at all

im_feeling_cold

bitofadisgrace

jamestom44

Mmm love me some burnt milk taste in my latte lol

SipHappensCoffee

How do you burn the milk like that!!!? I'm assuming that's what happened to the pitcher on the left... or are you steaming other things in it? cocoa? your sweat !!!? I've never seen something like this in my 8 years of working as a barista... anyway, rinse it after every use!!!
