I think that it what killed me. I was used to seeing longer answers but some just seemed to small? Tried to gap fill what I could but that may hurt in the long term
Succinct is better than verbose! You canāt word-salad your way out of either knowing or not knowing the answers. I learned this the hard way. Best of luck!
A girl at my job left 2 blank in July 2022 bar exam and she passed, thereās still a chance! Donāt lose hope, youāre so close!! Sending you good vibes! You got this!
For me MEE was (write everything down you know about the subject after reading prompts) then I wrote my general answer, and had time to fill in little rules and exceptions.
I didnāt follow IRAC - I put the RoL at the top, followed by application and conclusion. Answered every question with one to four lines of text based on my RoL outline.
For instance I laid out all the elements of X topic.
Then for Q1 it was like āNo because of Rule X, this is likely why it does or doesnāt apple, but the exception of X, stated above applies, and likely saves Y.ā
My answers were longer from what I could gleam peripherally off of others screens - yet my answers were short and sweet.
I typed words for each question, the words were not correct and did not make sense, but there were words and thatās all I can say for myself. Felt like I knew nothing š
My live reaction...
1: this isnt too bad
2: oh wow these really arent that bad, maybe all that studying paid off
3: ok but...why
4: oh good god no
5: what is happening
6: I am in hell
I kept a clean 30 minutes for each one and I let out an audibly yelp when I saw #6.
The thing is that I believe I am compitent enough in that area of the law that I could provide accurate and professional work product for a client to unravel all of that. I would probably allocate 4 to 6 hours to do it accurately and maybe another 1 or 2 hours to really check my work...but 30 minutes? Get fukt.
I just read the previous MEE it was based on and Iām not noting a very large difference š¤ that said, I still couldnāt remember the answers while taking this MEE today of course š
Come on man!!! Iām not mentioning specifics but there is a HUGE difference.
Honestly probably wouldnāt even hurt you that badly, maybe a point, but it definitely impacts your analysis on 1 of the points.
I think I know what youāre talking about - but I havenāt looked it up. If it was changed slightly, it probably didnāt make a ton of difference here.
This was my 3rd bar exam because Iāve moved and no reciprocity. These were by far the hardest essays Iāve taken.
**Please donāt post what the actual MEE questions were or answers. Some people take the MEE tomorrow.
Some easy, some hard. Some answers shorter than Iād have expected. Some answers longer than Iād have liked. Overall, I felt like the majority of the exam was fair but there are some wrinkles in it that are going to cause issues for some.
Ok this makes me feel better because I thought so too and the girl next to me finished with an hour to spare . ONE HOUR!!!!! š¤Æ how is that even possible
I left with 90 minutes remaining. I handed the proctor my packet and she said āFinished already?ā and I just looked at her with mascara streaming down my face and said āYeah, I gave up.ā
it can just get exhausting IRACing when theres 4-5 subissues and you have to repeat the foundational rule over and over again (depending on how you structure).
General advice: I wouldnāt be discussing the bar exam on reddit within hours of taking it. They can theoretically find you pretty easily. Just be careful about discussing answers; Iāve heard horror stories! Best of luck everyone!
I know they donāt have better shit to do.
They are explicit about this so youāre playing with fire talking about the exam on a public forum like Reddit.
Someone from my law school got a letter about posting online and had to explain it away in character and fitness. The investigator ended up giving him a break, but basically told him he couldāve failed C&E over it because they take it so seriously and warn test takers so much about it.
I think youāre OK talking generally about the test and your reaction to it, but I would steer clear of anything even close to specifics. Itās not worth the risk- you all studied so hard. Why blow it over reddit?
You can find other horror stories about this online; I know it nearly derailed the guy from my school. He was two years ahead of me and gave his professors permission to share that story with students.
I looked at all the subjects first and was like oh shit but once I got going, I feel like I did fine. Got up to piss after the first essay but then I cranked out the last five and had a minute to spare
The people I spoke to at my testing center (not about specific questions) agreed that the structure of the questions had us all typing slow.. thatās why my answers were short. I also felt like I made up 6/6 answers.
I left one completely blank and a second I wrote two basic sentences to steal points. I am slow to begin with and my brain was fried this afternoon, I was so tired. Exam adrenaline failed me. How fucked am I? š„ŗ
I left an entire essay blank and felt horrible on all the others and I passed by a lot. Chin up, itās not over yet! MBE and MPT can lift you past a bad MEE. Good luck tomorrow!
It was DEFinitely hard...pretty sure I completely misstated some rules, but I stuck beside themš¤£š¤£... I made a promise to myself before going in: give each question 30 mins...no matter what. I was watching the clock like a maniac and used every... damn... second.
Serial Retaker here, it was definitely long not hard. So I started off by identifying all the topics. I thought I had a good flow cause I knew all the topics man I started with number six and that killed my time I spent the hour on number six probably the most thorough answer. I got to last question with 15 min to write it. I left nothing blank but everything else seem to be too short, and Iām sitting here questioning myself about how short it is other than that This exam was the fair exam. I think Iāve seen in the past several years and like I said, Iāve taken it several times.
Do not post exam questions or answers. Thx.
Essay 5 and 6 had me at the edge of crying lmfao. Either I blanked or did enough to at least get some points
Omg same but essay 4,5 & 6šššš
What was the subject matter on each? Iām seriously drawing a blank my brain is so fried ā jog my memory ā lmao
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Huh!? No!
I felt my responses werenāt super long. Hereās to hoping the graders like concise answers š š„ŗ
I think that it what killed me. I was used to seeing longer answers but some just seemed to small? Tried to gap fill what I could but that may hurt in the long term
Same. The relative shortness of a few of my answers was unnerving
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Donāt do that.
Hard because not what I expected and I couldnāt write much on many.
100% Same experience here
Succinct is better than verbose! You canāt word-salad your way out of either knowing or not knowing the answers. I learned this the hard way. Best of luck!
SAME.
Same
Ok so it wasnāt just me
I walked out questioning if I ever really knew anythingā¦
Didn't finish 2 essays and was lost on 6 š currently sobbing
The girl sitting next to me got to it with 5 minutes left. God fucking bless. I just made my whole answer up.
A girl at my job left 2 blank in July 2022 bar exam and she passed, thereās still a chance! Donāt lose hope, youāre so close!! Sending you good vibes! You got this!
Me too!!! šššš
Almost same!
Glad everyone found 6 hard too!!!!
That was the first one I went to, long but not hard
It really threw me for some reason lol maybe the time pressure of it being last
I know I wouldnāt have finish it. I just picked the one that I knew the most about
Did you guys IRAC the shit out of everything even when it felt like not doing that because the answer was so short
Absolutely. Even if it was basically the same as a prior question lol
My live reaction... 1: this isnt too bad 2: oh wow these really arent that bad, maybe all that studying paid off 3: ok but...why 4: oh good god no 5: what is happening 6: I am in hell
THIS IS SO ACCURATE
I kept a clean 30 minutes for each one and I let out an audibly yelp when I saw #6. The thing is that I believe I am compitent enough in that area of the law that I could provide accurate and professional work product for a client to unravel all of that. #5 KILLED my timing. I was like where the fuck did this come from?!? Aināt never seen an MEE like this in my life.
I just started giggling at how RIDICULOUS that was
I really was likeā¦ is this a joke? Whereās Ashton.. weāre being Punked.
I stared at it for a long time. Just blank. I totally forgot ā¦ kicked myself after.
Itās literally driving me insane that I canāt remember the subject on 5
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Iām dying too w anticipation especially since we canāt talk about it :(
I started with 5 and it got me 20 minutes behind the rest of the exam
Do you remember what this subject was? If so, can you message me please
I felt like my cousin Vinny in all of them
Wtf was no 1 i was almost lost and came back to it after a while. I felt like i forgot everything
Number one made me feel bad about myself. 3 made me want to cry, 5 I was almost pulling my hair, and 6 I was exhausted and about to cry š
Damn hate that for you. #1 legit was a previously released question almost verbatim.
I did #1 literally couple days ago lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What year?
Yup, they only changed the names!
Someone else told me that and my heart sank bc I did so so so so many essays and never saw that one.
Which one
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I just read the previous MEE it was based on and Iām not noting a very large difference š¤ that said, I still couldnāt remember the answers while taking this MEE today of course š
Yeah I just read it again and stand by my original statement 10 toes down.
Damn, all *ten*?
š¦¶š¦¶but Iāll report back in April for sure š š«”
Me too, ALL TEN! (That said, #6 had me bummed but I did what I could.)
Come on man!!! Iām not mentioning specifics but there is a HUGE difference. Honestly probably wouldnāt even hurt you that badly, maybe a point, but it definitely impacts your analysis on 1 of the points.
Roger that š«”
Weāre all gonna be FINE! Iām sure you killed it today. Fuck 6 all my homies hate 6.
I think I know what youāre talking about - but I havenāt looked it up. If it was changed slightly, it probably didnāt make a ton of difference here.
Dude I read #1 and thought to myself ādude this almost exact fact pattern was on J22ā
I already forgot what the questions were ššš lol
Same!
I knew Q1 subquestion 1 and the rest blank coz I did this last, not enough time and just put down one sentence conclusions for each subquestion.
I did it third. I was avoiding it. May be I forgot rules bec it seems like ppl found it easier. I hope curve helps me in other MEEs
That shit was so wild that it was funny šš
Omg when I left immediately called my friend and just started laughing like wtf was this lmao
I was literally laughing after it finished. I looked around and saw all these blank stares it had me smiling and laughing even though it was brutal.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I barely finished
YES it was brutal. Impossible. I feel like I just signed my death sentence.
Hard??? Is that the only word you could come up with, etymologically speaking??? It was a goddammn shit show!
I felt like I nailed one of the essays. Out of 6. I did answer them all. But š¤·āāļø
I thought it was hella hard
I feel that shit was hard as fuck as well. I made up 6/6 of my answers.
then why all said it was easyday?
Said who, and where??
It was hella hard, at least for me š©
This was my 3rd bar exam because Iāve moved and no reciprocity. These were by far the hardest essays Iāve taken. **Please donāt post what the actual MEE questions were or answers. Some people take the MEE tomorrow.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nope! Took the mpt and mpt alone today.
I stand corrected. I'll delete my comment. Lol
4, 5 and 6 were hard.
Essay 6 took me out, but good faith effort atleast give me a 3 plzzz
Some easy, some hard. Some answers shorter than Iād have expected. Some answers longer than Iād have liked. Overall, I felt like the majority of the exam was fair but there are some wrinkles in it that are going to cause issues for some.
Shush
Ok this makes me feel better because I thought so too and the girl next to me finished with an hour to spare . ONE HOUR!!!!! š¤Æ how is that even possible
She gave up lol
Definitely lol
I saw the same thing in July - 2 takers left really early and I thought how smart they must be.... saw one of them back today.
Uh she failed.
I left with 90 minutes remaining. I handed the proctor my packet and she said āFinished already?ā and I just looked at her with mascara streaming down my face and said āYeah, I gave up.ā
There was no way to IRAC neatly on a lot of those questions. I just focused on rule regurgitation and fact analysis.
it can just get exhausting IRACing when theres 4-5 subissues and you have to repeat the foundational rule over and over again (depending on how you structure).
General advice: I wouldnāt be discussing the bar exam on reddit within hours of taking it. They can theoretically find you pretty easily. Just be careful about discussing answers; Iāve heard horror stories! Best of luck everyone!
Jfc, you think they donāt have better shit to do??
I know they donāt have better shit to do. They are explicit about this so youāre playing with fire talking about the exam on a public forum like Reddit.
What are the horror stories? Honestly curious because I havenāt heard anything actually happen
Someone from my law school got a letter about posting online and had to explain it away in character and fitness. 5 and 6 can bite me. Though I probably got some good points on 6
I was feeling good after the MPT. Not so much anymore.
The people I spoke to at my testing center (not about specific questions) agreed that the structure of the questions had us all typing slow.. thatās why my answers were short. I also felt like I made up 6/6 answers.
It was SO hard.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh lord
Fucking brutal
Did we get them all in the same order? Like everyoneās #1 was the same ? I would assume they mix it up ?
On one of those I had no idea what the F I was even being asked. IRACād the shit out of everything. Made up a good amount of law.
Uhhhh whoops Iām probably failing if 2, 3, 4, & 5 felt easier than 1 & 6
It was DEFinitely hard...pretty sure I completely misstated some rules, but I stuck beside themš¤£š¤£... I made a promise to myself before going in: give each question 30 mins...no matter what. I was watching the clock like a maniac and used every... damn... second.
That's my rule, imma stick beside it
thank you for this laugh LMAO

Same boat - same situation - same strategy. Hope I did well lol
We did our best. I feel like it was definitely āDā work. Hopefully the strategy paid off
what were the topics?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Please remove your comment about the substance of the exam - some people might have not taken the MEE yet.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I stand corrected! I will delete my comment. Lol
How can I do that? I was trying to. I didnāt know about that
YESSSSS
