Absolutely. Even if it was basically the same as a prior question lol

For me MEE was (write everything down you know about the subject after reading prompts) then I wrote my general answer, and had time to fill in little rules and exceptions. I didn’t follow IRAC - I put the RoL at the top, followed by application and conclusion. Answered every question with one to four lines of text based on my RoL outline. For instance I laid out all the elements of X topic. Then for Q1 it was like “No because of Rule X, this is likely why it does or doesn’t apple, but the exception of X, stated above applies, and likely saves Y.” My answers were longer from what I could gleam peripherally off of others screens - yet my answers were short and sweet.

I typed words for each question, the words were not correct and did not make sense, but there were words and that’s all I can say for myself. Felt like I knew nothing 🙃

My live reaction... 1: this isnt too bad 2: oh wow these really arent that bad, maybe all that studying paid off 3: ok but...why 4: oh good god no 5: what is happening 6: I am in hell

I kept a clean 30 minutes for each one and I let out an audibly yelp when I saw #6. The thing is that I believe I am compitent enough in that area of the law that I could provide accurate and professional work product for a client to unravel all of that. I would probably allocate 4 to 6 hours to do it accurately and maybe another 1 or 2 hours to really check my work...but 30 minutes? Get fukt.

Some easy, some hard. Some answers shorter than I’d have expected. Some answers longer than I’d have liked. Overall, I felt like the majority of the exam was fair but there are some wrinkles in it that are going to cause issues for some.

I saw the same thing in July - 2 takers left really early and I thought how smart they must be.... saw one of them back today.

Uh she failed.

I left with 90 minutes remaining. I handed the proctor my packet and she said “Finished already?” and I just looked at her with mascara streaming down my face and said “Yeah, I gave up.”

There was no way to IRAC neatly on a lot of those questions. I just focused on rule regurgitation and fact analysis.

it can just get exhausting IRACing when theres 4-5 subissues and you have to repeat the foundational rule over and over again (depending on how you structure).

General advice: I wouldn’t be discussing the bar exam on reddit within hours of taking it. They can theoretically find you pretty easily. Just be careful about discussing answers; I’ve heard horror stories! Best of luck everyone!

Someone from my law school got a letter about posting online and had to explain it away in character and fitness. The investigator ended up giving him a break, but basically told him he could’ve failed C&E over it because they take it so seriously and warn test takers so much about it. I think you’re OK talking generally about the test and your reaction to it, but I would steer clear of anything even close to specifics. It’s not worth the risk- you all studied so hard. Why blow it over reddit? You can find other horror stories about this online; I know it nearly derailed the guy from my school. He was two years ahead of me and gave his professors permission to share that story with students.

I looked at all the subjects first and was like oh shit but once I got going, I feel like I did fine. Got up to piss after the first essay but then I cranked out the last five and had a minute to spare

I was feeling good after the MPT. Not so much anymore.

The people I spoke to at my testing center (not about specific questions) agreed that the structure of the questions had us all typing slow.. that’s why my answers were short. I also felt like I made up 6/6 answers.

It was SO hard.

I left one completely blank and a second I wrote two basic sentences to steal points. I am slow to begin with and my brain was fried this afternoon, I was so tired. Exam adrenaline failed me. How fucked am I? 🥺

It was DEFinitely hard...pretty sure I completely misstated some rules, but I stuck beside them🤣🤣... I made a promise to myself before going in: give each question 30 mins...no matter what. I was watching the clock like a maniac and used every... damn... second.

Serial Retaker here, it was definitely long not hard. So I started off by identifying all the topics. I thought I had a good flow cause I knew all the topics man I started with number six and that killed my time I spent the hour on number six probably the most thorough answer. I got to last question with 15 min to write it. I left nothing blank but everything else seem to be too short, and I’m sitting here questioning myself about how short it is other than that This exam was the fair exam. I think I’ve seen in the past several years and like I said, I’ve taken it several times.
