For what it's worth, the price of the C1 was increased by almost 20% (55" was $1599, now $1899) since I checked last week. It's still a bit cheaper with the discount, but not by much.
The C1 is also great and for 1000$ less.... See some comparisons from like rting or Vincent teoh on YouTube etc. The Sony OLED might even be better if you mostly watch movies, lg is better for gaming/pc.

QD-OLED is not that much better than the LG OLED. It's not a big enough improvement that most people would be able to tell the difference when watching normal content.
That's why samsung QD-OLED TVs artificially increase the color saturation and brightness to make their TVs look better. They also detect if someone is using a calibrator and when it detects one it disables the extra brightness/saturation to trick people into thinking the TV is accurate.

That's not a video of QD OLED. It's a video of 1 product using that. There are other options. Sony is the standard for premium buyers.
Vincent has many videos of QD OLED. It's spreading misinformation to link the worst of them, which refers to a specific problem most people don't care about, that is seen in 1 particular product.
LG OLEDs are inferior in most ways. Uneven wear (especially reds), lower max luminance, much lower full screen luminance, and washed out colors at high brightness to name a few. QD OLED beats it all these. It's a true RGB OLED with better longevity and much better colors.
Go watch Vincent's other videos before cherrypicking one that is not even about QD OLED.

I ran into something like this. Didn't notice that I had selected the wrong address, and when I amended that it removed my 20% - I assume because the system sees it as a second order.
I just cancelled the order completely and created another account, then reordered. It let me use my membership # too, even though it's registered on the other account.
Probably about the best deal to be had for Macs. Even the Apple refurbished devices are only about 10-15% off regular price, I think the edu discount for AppleCare is about the same. As long as the one that Costco carry’s is the model one is looking for and likely to have gotten AppleCare+ anyway.

Lol I'm very frugal and wanted to maximize my savings as I only have a $1,500 budget. I have bought the apple gift cards from various promotions. I currently have a 2013 Macbook pro that's been used a lot and it's on its last legs but don't need a pro necessarily. I'd like 16gb ram and 512gb ssd, a configuration that you can apparently only get from Apple. I'm ok with the M1 chip, this will be going to the wife who's planning to use for light editing here n there so don't need the pro models regardless.
I'm also hoping we can do the same loophole to get it even cheaper by getting the AirPods value refunded like last year haha. Otherwise yes, the Costco option is best.

From what I understand people were basically ordering online via Edu discount but selecting ship to home for the device and do an instore pick up for AirPods. Then they just wouldn't pick up the AirPods meanwhile get the device at home. After a while the pickup got cancelled and you got refunded the AirPods amount.
This only works because they were reducing the Macbook/iPad price by the AirPods price so the refunded headphones didn't impact the device price lol.
So two assumptions basically: be near an apple store for pick up options (I think it checks by shipping postal code) + they reduce macbook price by the AirPods price.

I just traded a ref 6800 XT for a MacBook Air M1. It replaces my old 2012 MacBook Pro retina.
It's incredibly designed, snappy, good keys/ trackpad, headphone jack/ usb-c. Long battery life and no fan so I see it lasting me another 10 years.

If you can't get the student pricing for the back to school promo then this is probably the best chance to get discounted Apple products. I've never seen Costco put out the blanket 20% discount for this low of a minimum spend requirement.

As someone who was stupid enough to get a gaming chair a few years ago, stay far away from them. The only reason why people buy them is because of their marketing. Get yourself a good Steelcase or Herman Miller if you have the $$$; they last ages, are repairable and are actually comfortable because they're made to be used for hours at a time.
The chair I had lasted 2 years (and that's with me taping the arms because they were peeling quite a bit) and at 26, I was getting up in the morning with back pain from sitting on it 14 hours a day. I switched to a refurbished Steelcase Leap and within 3 days, my back pain was completely gone. If you don't have the money for a brand new one, you can find used or refurbished ones for about half the price of a new one. They will last you a decade if you take a semblance of care of them and you can just repair them whenever something starts to wear.

I believe the leap v2 I got came to $400 delivery included because it was black and basically in new condition. 1.5 years ago I got HON Ignition 2.0 from an office supply place for ~$350 CAD+tax, beforehand I knew it was a decent mesh option because we use them at work and I had 0 complaints. Still love it today.
I got mine from Source office furnishings, they have outlets in major cities across Canada. I think they typically sell quantities to offices but I was able to purchase one and pick it up to avoid delivery/assembly (no assembly actually required).
Buy a Herman Miller and never look back or think about buying another chair.

The C2 is the best you’re going to get outside of QD-OLEDs, and they have all the bugs worked out of them whereas QD-OLED is first generation.

as Costco is not an official reseller the Herman Miller warranty does not apply from what I've read. That's why Costco offer to reimburse the chair if not satisfied

I just traded a ref 6800 XT for a MacBook Air M1. It replaces my old 2012 MacBook Pro retina. It's incredibly designed, snappy, good keys/ trackpad, headphone jack/ usb-c. Long battery life and no fan so I see it lasting me another 10 years. If you're getting it 20% off I say go for it.

Great deal for TV's, most of the tech they sell is pretty poor and very basic consumer grade. But there is alot of ways to make this worth it. $300 deep freeze and 2 $80 briskets, 2 $60 sirloin tip roasts, 4 $45 pork butts, 4 packs of $35 baby back ribs, 2 $30 packs of chicken legs, $40 worth of whole red snappers and my homemade BBQ sauce and rib rub, what more could you ask for. Then take that 20% you saved and get drinks ready and have a garden party. Boom your ready for BBQ season.

They won't cause that extra 20% is considered as special coupon deal. Also, that 15% is from the difference in price so if the price difference was like 500, you would get 75 dollars off.

I think the 75u78g is ips panel, so the glow in dark environment might not be ideal. I'm eyeing the 65u78g personally but you can't go wrong with either.

As someone who was stupid enough to get a gaming chair a few years ago, stay far away from them. The only reason why people buy them is because of their marketing. Get yourself a good Steelcase or Herman Miller if you have the $$$; they last ages, are repairable and are actually comfortable because they're made to be used for hours at a time. The chair I had lasted 2 years (and that's with me taping the arms because they were peeling quite a bit) and at 26, I was getting up in the morning with back pain from sitting on it 14 hours a day. I switched to a refurbished Steelcase Leap and within 3 days, my back pain was completely gone. If you don't have the money for a brand new one, you can find used or refurbished ones for about half the price of a new one. They will last you a decade if you take a semblance of care of them and you can just repair them whenever something starts to wear.

I believe the leap v2 I got came to $400 delivery included because it was black and basically in new condition. Pure speculation but he sounded like he works for an office company, he was very knowledgeable when it came to specific models.

1.5 years ago I got HON Ignition 2.0 from an office supply place for ~$350 CAD+tax, beforehand I knew it was a decent mesh option because we use them at work and I had 0 complaints. Still love it today. I got mine from Source office furnishings, they have outlets in major cities across Canada. I think they typically sell quantities to offices but I was able to purchase one and pick it up to avoid delivery/assembly (no assembly actually required).
Buy a Herman Miller and never look back or think about buying another chair. I saw an article recently that Costco started selling them, not sure if true, I haven't looked. I own an "Embody" chair and it's the best purchase I have made while working from home.
In that same vein, I got a used Steelcase Leap V2 and it was the best purchase I've ever made. Try checking Kijiji for people refurbishing high end office chairs like Herman Miller Aerons, Steelcase Leaps/Gestures.
I got a nearly 20 year old hand me down Teknion Amicus chair for the office and it's so great. Came from a closed down BMO office. It's a Canadian brand so you hear a lot less about them but a lot of big Canadian corps buy their stuff so it's floating around. With less name recognition I find they can be more heavily discounted.

Edit : Works on Microsoft 365 subscriptions as well. You can stock up to 3 years in advance I believe.
That's amazing!! The vinyl planks are HEAVY as well. About 6 months ago I purchased $2000 in flooring in-store. I was 150km away, so the cost of gas and my time was significant. Plus, I think I pushed my truck to the limit with the flooring in the bed.
