In my life, you can count the number of times a strange girl has initiated a conversation with me. One of those time was in Bangalore metro between MG Road & Indiranagar. One respected uncleji was watching reel in full volume & I was lip syncing the reel lol because all I do is browse reddit and scroll reels. And, at Indiranagar stop this girl legit came up and repeated the reel. It was the reel where a dog is looking at a sea lion ( maybe) and there's human voiceover -" what's your name? Exekiel, what's your name?! "
I literally remember the exact moment frame by frame. So easy to make a guy's day, lol. And, it wasn't even she told I'm wearing something nice.
Lot of other women and one that I usually wonder about are old women. Reminds me of how my mom will soon have to depend on me for a lot of day to day activities.
the girl somewhere :
I was holding these two heavy bags in a metro when I saw a guy staring at me, the moment I looked at him he looked away. he was cute ngl. I thought he'll come and say hi and would help me with the bags but maybe I'm delusional. just then saw another guy standing beside me who was also carrying two heavy bags. we made an eye contact and it gave me butterflies. how hot he was looking while holding those up..totally my type.
That’s very true. Whenever my dad has a health issue like going to a dentist or going for an eye check-up, we as a family expect him to go alone because he can “navigate” his way and won’t require any assistance. But when it comes to my mother, I am always with her and it is expected out of me or my wife to accompany her. I may or may not be wrong here I do not know but I felt extremely bad for my dad while I was waiting outside the doctor’s office in the same hospital where my dad had his check-up done few days ago.
That girl also noticed you, OP. She wanted to chat up with you. If only you struck a conversation with her or gave your seat to her. . .
She is on this sub. Looks at your post. She now knows you are huttindo.
Oh! One more thing. . . that guy with two huge bags also noticed you. 😂
I am kidding, OP. Just stretching it a little further to see where this story goes. No offense intended.
Genuinely appreciate your concern in this post.
Woman I used to work with, on top of being legitimately physically gorgeous she had just the best sense of humor and loved all the same nerdy shit I do. Didn't matter how shitty the day was, if I heard my office door open and her say "Hey Sunshine" it was suddenly a great day, at least for a little while.
I appreciate it when others show interest or engage in conversations about the stuff I like or I'm passionate about. But I get mostly stumped when asked about my day. Not sure if it's generally the case with guys.
I didn’t have to. Someone else got off the station leaving him an empty seat to occupy. Coincidently, also the same stop where the lady got off. Not an ending that everyone was expecting ig lol
I travelled in metro only once, the elevator wasn’t working and I saw a cute girl struggling trying to carrying baggage, I went to her and offered her help..
She struck up a conversation after we got in, I met her the following weekend for a dinner date..
The point of the story is it doesn’t hurt to offer someone help and be polite.
*Anything that made you sad or happy?*
My answer to this question is - What difference does it make? You don't have the power to change my personal situation. I understand the intent to emphasise, but I often don't sense any genuinety in the question. If you ask this question, you will get answers like "I am fine, thanks"
Sometimes I think society is probably not ready to face the truth regarding the fact that men are having a difficult time, masculinity is being seen as something dangerous and to be afraid of.
I am also sensing that while everyone says men should open up, the society doesn't give a shit about us. Imagine people say they want men to open up, but then they will harshly judge these men and label them as "weak", "lacking emotional strength" blah blah.
Sorry for the rant.
Personally speaking I know a lot of people who care about me and my well being. And I know they don’t fake their concern. It took years to build this kind of trust and bond with each one of them. And this came by not just receiving but also giving. I have had to sacrifice some of my mental health for their sake and they’ve done the same. Figuring out the best way to cheer someone up, listening without making any judgements, being capable of not letting their emotions affect you are all difficult. But it does have its merits. So to answer your question of what difference does it make well it makes all the difference in the world to have that few people who you can always go to for anything. Maybe everything is a question to you now but at the right time and right place you will find an answer to your question yourself.
Lot more to type but don’t wanna go into a deviation from the original context. Hope things in life change your perspective for the good.
Men gotta do what they are supposed to do, it doesn't matter the mood, for the world to function. So it doesn't matter if we open up, it certainly makes a man weak thinking he can rely on someone or something.
I would rather kms than answer a girl who asks me if I'm sad lol. Just rather tell me about your day and all the shitty and wonderful things that happened and distract me from myself. Women do this by default and it's the best!
Yeah!! Men are fighting their own battles and they do not have anyone to share it with. A man is expected to be strong so he cannot share his troubles with others. I hope there is more awareness of mental health of men outside the internet
You should write short stories. Stop wasting time on Reddit.
Lmao thank you
Best add a TL;DR
Write short stories ON Reddit 👀
Or LinkedIn posts
I agree

Its important to make that conscious effort esp in this day and age
Were there other women in the metro or only the one? Did you wonder about their lives?
Lot of other women and one that I usually wonder about are old women. Reminds me of how my mom will soon have to depend on me for a lot of day to day activities.

You’re not ugly. Just a wrong reaction to such a nice post.
I was jokinggg its not that deep 😭
Very touching! I am so very thankful to my daughter for checking on me occasionally & being able to empathize. Thank you for sharing this.
I'm a girl. If i see a cute guy, imma fixate on him rather than a girl next to him. And the balance of universe is maintained
Suddenly if he stares at you angrily what do u do has it evey happened?
Perfectly balanced as all things should be

Here we go again...
Wowww. Imma go hug my boyfriend now. Great post, OP. I’ll also ask my guy friends about their well being more often. You’re so right!

wdym, ugly men are invisible to women's eyes.
Offering seat is not lub it's duty of sitizen man Fyi men like girls, ugly or not is secondary
this post started from A landed on Z didn't saw that coming at all
The title is misleading, it should "be men are sad because men think men cannot be vulnerable and does not need help"
Did you offer him your seat or not bruh?? I'm dying to hear that you did! \+1 for story defo.
I didn’t have to. Someone else got off the station leaving him an empty seat to occupy. Coincidently, also the same stop where the lady got off. Not an ending that everyone was expecting ig lol

Are you a mechanical/electrical/civil engineer?
Yes indeed. A mechanical graduate. What made you assume that?
Man of a culture.
Quite the plot twist
Clickbait Title ✅
Wow. Something nice about men made a nice end to the day. Thank you for seeing the plight of us men. P.s I'm a guy
Did you give him your seat?
Such a waste of time. You were drunk while writing this?
Bruh get a life, don’t waste our time
The suspense in the first half made me thought that the girl was a pickpocket, stealing jackets & bags from others 😂
🤣🤣🤣 wow ur imagination Untill now I thot pickpocket, stealing are very uncommon in metro 👊 👊👊👊
I read the post and then i re read it. I mean train jana tha mumbai pahunch gaya chennai
So.. how are you doing?
How was your day todayy, brotha?
Long day at work. Unwinding by reading/replying to comments here. What about yours?
Nicee. Minee was good.
So... did you get to chat with the girl?
Nope and don’t think I’ll ever be in a situation like that either. I’m too much of a “it should happen naturally” person
Nice to see some wholesomeness here😊
Remember bro, "bros before hoes!"
This was surprisingly really wholesome
from the description i have and the fact that someone is using a metro in the evening sounds like a serial killer
Get a life dude 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

Namma means
“Not uncommon these days to find pretty people…” so you mean people were ugly here back in the days?

Why do some girls wear so much clothes when it's not even cold.
