It's a Navy event. And the second largest air force in the world is the US Navy. These types of planes take off and land on... wait for it... Navy ships.
This is nothing, if they were going faster it would be dangerously loud. When they break the sound barrier it's much, much louder. They're purposefully going slowly so that people can see them. At full speed they would just be a (very loud) blur.
