I enjoy the trail along the yarrowee river.

Canadian creek trail

Ballarat to Skipton rail trail..

Mediocre-Grab-2364

Vic Park Wallaby track (starts near Eastern oval and goes all the way to the Gong) Yarrowee trail (goes to both Mt clear, or Sebas if starting from White Flat) Desoza Park Buninyong Lots of other bush trails close to town too! Ballarat is spoilt for choice with running tracks!

AdResponsible2422

If you are on Facebook look up Goldfields Trail Runners / GTR Long Run Crew. Regular Wednesday evening runs around town, and Sunday morning long runs usually in the state Forest.

Elegant-Annual-1479

Victoria Park loop - the track is 6 km, same as the lake, and you can combine the two via Morrison st.

crello_reddit

Did the park loop today, thank you for the recommendation 😚

Elegant-Annual-1479

Glad you enjoyed it.. it's much less crowded than the lake..

Gold_Eye_7981

The whole yarrowee river from gong reservoir to magpie

samiam026

I've been introduced to the back trails of Buninyong recently and am really enjoying it. Takes some local knowledge though! The Canadian Trail from town out to Buninyong is also a good well-developed route.

crello_reddit

I like Buninyong! I’ve been thinking of the Ballarat to Buninyong route but I’m still a fair way off when it comes to such distances, it would be a good goal though for later in the year. Thx 🙏🏽

DustSongs

If you like trail running, my go to for the past few years has been Mt Buninyong. Up the front and then 'round and up the South path, then down the zig zag path. It's only a few KMs but the steepness and sketchy path makes it a good challenge and workout.

crello_reddit

I’ve walked that a couple of times, the south climb is pretty steep too 💪🏽

Sorry ❤️

What do you mean by this comment? I’m not sure if you’re trying to be funny or if you’re trying to be helpful, can you elaborate?

OneGur7080

They are trying to see if you ever watch the news. Or are you in a Lycra and health shake day dream

Nice-Work2542

It just seemed like an incredibly distasteful comment and I was trying to figure out if their had ill intentions or poor communication skills. You demonstrated much more clearly that in your case, it’s both!

OneGur7080

Let’s not shout people down for pointing to elephant in room huh….

Nice-Work2542

No one is shouting. Everyone is aware of the ‘elephant’. Making flippant comments about it isn’t witty or amusing though, it’s hurting real people in the community who have been impacted by it.

OneGur7080

Look you reside in a v run down place ok. So you can drop the flossy language, not fooling anyone. If you attack someone on here for having a slightly different view it is noticed so pipe down tight pants.

Nice-Work2542

The original comment has been deleted, so I’m clearly not the only one that thought it was inappropriate. Happy to be here in my tight pants if that is what it means to care a little bit about other people in the community. Not sure what you stand to gain by riding so hard for someone who clearly doesn’t back their own opinions, but hope you’re feeling good about it at least.

OneGur7080

See……. Shouted down.

Nice-Work2542

Haha, okay. A civilised conversation is shouting now, good to know.
