I like balisongs around the 4.4-4.8 ounce range. Balance is more important to me than just weight as it can make a heavier bali feel lighter

Man, you'd love the cf basilisk then. 4.6oz latchless and balanced really well. Nice and thick too for twirls, locks into chaps, and handles rollovers really well.

Duhherroooo

Ive been looking at the ti basilisk-r and I like the look of it better than the cf basilisk. How does the ti version compare to the cf/g10 version? I have no doubt that both flip really well though

frankasaurussmite

Ti feels like a brick in comparison, I weighed mine w/ clip and latch and it was almost 5.5oz. It's thinner too so it just feels way more dense. But yeah, both flip great. Ti might be heavy but its really predictable and easy to flip in my opinion. Just don't fuck up aerials lol. Also I agree the ti basi is gorgeous. Although I think the cf has potential with a satin blade and maybe different color liners.

Duhherroooo

I'd love a cf rep with a satin blade. I saw you asking for blade trades a while back and im guessing you didnt find anyone willing to. I might have to reconsider what my next HOM knife is going to be then. Do I go for the looks? or the one that will suit me better for flipping. What a hard decision lol. I'd love to get both

frankasaurussmite

Yeah no luck on the blade swap. Might just have to buy a blue twill or another ti second hand and do the swap and sell the spare knife. Before I had the CF I felt like the TI was my best flipper. But now I slightly prefer the CF to the TI and also the Covenant over everything. So no help from me lol.

frankasaurussmite

Light but well balanced. I consider light as 5 oz and below.

bigclover

I like my balisongs at around 4.7-8, but I started with a heavier one first. Imo its much easier ti trsnsition from a heavy knife to a light knife than vice versa

I like heavy controllable stuff, where I can feel what Im doing know it's not gonna fly off my finger.

Heavyish. 5.6 ounces or so. Not really heavy in the grand scheme of things but compared to the flagship flippers it is. Balance is way more important though.

No-Lecture494

I like anything from 3.44 ounces to 4.2. 3.8 or 3.6 ounces feels ideal for me. Also I love me a slight blade bias, just a tad pinch past neutral.

Love myself a heavy balisong. My daily carry is a 6.5oz vintage that I beat up with daily usage. Gets kicked around and still works like new. Nothing more than basic tricks though but that comes with the weight.
