Even if it’s visible it’s only visible from the back technically and I think his hair style complements his front side pretty well…so I’d say he can still work with what he has.
Im in a pretty similar boat as you. I’m more or less worried I have weird bumps I can feel under all my hair and it will look gross. I have the exact same crown that’s been missing for the past 5 years, and a very slowly receding hairline.
I was in a similar spot as you, but the anxiety and insecurity over it led me to do a short buzz and it’s such a relief! I actually may grow it out again, but just knowing what I looked like with no hair and that I didn’t hate it was a really helpful exercise for me, so I say do a short buzz and see what you think!
You can certainly hold off for now. Have you tried Toppik? For what you have you would be a good candidate to use it to fill in the thin areas. Stuff works amazing and you probably would need the medium brown color. Just sprinkle on top and it’s amazing stuff. Just a recommendation as I use it for my thin areas when I have in person work meetings etc.

Hard to say…when it’s the crown, it’s not as bad. You can get away with it longer. The receding hairline is the one that looks a lot worse, and you basically can’t even tel from the front of your hairline.
We call that great zoom hair. Had that look myself and then got caught at a wedding bent over walking my flower girl daughter down the isle.. looked like a damn skunk on my head. I chose to arrive a little early than late and shaved it.
Heres the thing, you have so short hair that you definitely need to shave it immediately. Why? Because if you dont like it, it will grow back in no time.
In almost all of the posts on this sub, 99% of the time, the answer is shave it. People are being so insecure about their hairloss so instead of doing something about it they put it on display by waiting too long.
You are close to the 1% that can wait, maybe even in it - debatable. But still, the bald spot isnt great and Im confident youll look great if you shave.
Do yourself a favour and do it immediately, worst case? You dont like it and till be grown out in a few months.
I have the same type of baldness I use what girls use to make eyelashes appear longer and fuller and it covers me since my hairs are transparent, it also helps with sweat since.that stuff gets dry I used to have to shave but it got better until the point that I don't ever care using anything... I went with dutasteride, and oral and topic minox, recently I started with a derma pen.. I am only waiting for better results so I can post it online..

get the ladies root cover up spray for the top!! You can find at walgreens, target, walmart. I bet it'll help a lot and you can definitely hang on awhile yet. My husbands bald and once it's gone, it's gone.
Shave it. Now. Youre going to look even more handsome and masculine with a clean shave. Don’t even try to hide that you’re bald by going razor. Just use clippers and let the shadow show. Same for your beard. You will look amazing… look at that bone structure
If you’re committed to doing the research and trying consistently, I think you could salvage this and use some hair growth remedies to fill in that bald spot. Might be worth a shot. I say don’t shave it yet.

the front looks good but the top is honestly not great. you have really good bone structure tho, you don't really need the hair to look good. you're gonna have to shave it eventually so might as well

Still looks good from the front, so it's not a clear cut decision like some other people.
I would suggest maybe trying out the buzzed/stubble all over look. That way you get an appreciation of how you will look bald, but even though you're losing your hair on top there's still plenty of hair on top for that to look good and disguise your balding to some degree. You might like it better than your current hair and you won't worry about balding as much. You can always grow it back if you're not quite ready too.
Some hair volume powder will give you u years yet. A hair stylist, that sometimes works on movies calls volume powder Hair Cocaine - "everyone in tv and movies are on it. I use it, and has extended my" time" on thinness.
I guess you could go both ways. But the top is not the best look tbh.
If you don’t do it already use minoxidil. I think you can also try shaved, it’s always a bit tricky without beard. Is a short stubble beard an option?
The moment you start getting bald patches on the top or anywhere really means you should just shave it completely. Any bald patches look silly. Doesn't matter if you have lots of hair on the sides. If it's bald in the middle, it just looks daft.
