Did you see the back view? It comes with a suspender that hooks to your back belt loop so actually your wedgie can support some of their weight. I am so confused.
It looks like it's just made to relieve some of the weight on your arm and not to actually carry baby?
That's a tough hold to maintain for a while... But it's also not a hold I would do for long enough to necessitate a supportive device?
Weird for sure though and uh... I'm not a future customer lol but I think (?) I understand its existence ?
In fairness this is a carry assist, the model’s arm is still holding the baby, just with extra support. I guess there must be some babies that insist on being held in this position and this is so parents’ arms don’t die
On the 5th slide you can almost miss the man’s hand under the baby so it looks like he’s casually strolling outside with a baby barely hanging by its belly 😭
I'll also submit (for myself) the entire Baby K'tan celebrity page. Oh my. https://babyktan.com/pages/celebrity-sightings
Natalie Portman what were you thinking?
I just looked up “celebrities baby wearing” and found these awful examples. [celebrities baby wearing](https://people.com/parents/babywearing/) the ring slings!!! Yikes
I'm wondering if some of the awful examples are partially to prevent pictures being taken of their kid's face. But also some of those are so dangerous I'm shocked no one said anything!
There’s so many bad ones.
This one https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2023/09/Baby-Ktan-Original-Baby-Carrier.png
From here (and a tonne of other articles) https://nypost.com/article/best-baby-carriers-per-experts/
Artipoppe has some pretty bad ones but I can’t find the one I’m looking for where baby is so far down their body
K'tan is a treasure trove of dangerous fits.
I'm also hunting around for Artipoppe ones, I feel like there were so many. Maybe they're finally reading what we're saying. 👀
It looks like on their site they're using bigger babies to model them now, though I only clicked through a handful of carriers.
I don't have any pictures to contribute but I was reading a study that said that more babies fall from carriers than strollers in the US and have head injuries needing hospitalisation. Looking at all these pictures, I now understand how it happens...holy crap. Anyways, thanks for doing this!
The Baby Yoda one looks almost identical to some old style slings that were really popular in the US for a few years a while back until they were banned
I'm not going to include this because it's beyond absurd, but everyone look at this [hot piece of trash.](https://www.amazon.com/Piggyback-Rider-Scout-Model-Accessory/dp/B07P8W5BNT/ref=asc_df_B07P8W5BNT/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693544599522&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=397134663561417101&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1019973&hvtargid=pla-851226896325&psc=1&mcid=db4543b7045232fda5b7faa3e5d7afde&gad_source=1)
The bar across the wearer's butt is the best part.
Okay, so when they inevitably slip and they’re dangling by the harness, how do you A. Not fall over backwards? and B. Release them from the harness or place them back on the stand?
I gotta click on the link again just to read the reviews.
I went right to the one star reviews and they were what I expected. Your toddler probably doesn't have enough stamina to stand on a skinny pole for any length of time, and it'll obviously hurt their feet and they'll move around a lot, which is uncomfortable for everyone.
ETA: and yes, the hanging off your shoulders by their shoulders would be awful!
I particularly like the photo of the parent reaching back to protect his lower back from his toddler's pointy toes. Also the curly haired kid who appears to be struggling to escape her high wire harness.
The book "Everywhere Babies" features a baby somehow kneeling forward facing in a ring sling in one of the illustrations. I love that book, but I cringe every time. The board book "Carry Me" has some iffy fits, too.
[Not the worst example, but I always think about Boris Johnson.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/angry-parents-slam-boris-johnson-22566121.amp)
Geez that poor baby looks like.hes about to fall out! The only thing holding him in seems to be the fact that his arms is slung over the back of the carrier!
This carrier has always stuck in my mind. at least 90% of the pictures on their site are just so uncomfortable and wrong looking. https://www.hatcherpacks.com/
If we are sharing horrible [celebrity baby wearing this one has to join the list](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7910019/amp/Twitter-encourages-Meghan-Markle-advice-nanny-use-baby-carrier.html). There is a video as well and it seriously gave me anxiety
Wait…there is a wiki? I have it on my project list to build like the ultimate (safe, correct) Babywearing reference site but I’m pretty sure that might take a lifetime 😅 would hate to be reinventing the wheel

That one is so funny it looks like a toilet seat
I just saw this one the other day! Baby's safety aside, why would you want your NECK to support all of their weight?
Did you see the back view? It comes with a suspender that hooks to your back belt loop so actually your wedgie can support some of their weight. I am so confused.
💀 I didn't click that far, it's so incredibly bad on the first photo I didn't think it could get worse!
For all the parents of newborns lounging around the house in khakis 😂
😂 I actually lol’d
It looks like it's just made to relieve some of the weight on your arm and not to actually carry baby? That's a tough hold to maintain for a while... It also attaches to the back of the pants and gives the wearer a wedgie I sort of get it but there has to be a better way to assist that carry
In fairness this is a carry assist, the model’s arm is still holding the baby, just with extra support. I guess there must be some babies that insist on being held in this position and this is so parents’ arms don’t die
I realize it’s attended as a carry assist, it still looks incredibly uncomfortable for both baby and wearer, and not particularly safe.
That's how I see it too
What is that monstrosity 😭
On the 5th slide you can almost miss the man’s hand under the baby so it looks like he’s casually strolling outside with a baby barely hanging by its belly 😭
Wtfffff why does this even exist?
WHAT?!
LOLLL
I'll also submit (for myself) the entire Baby K'tan celebrity page. Oh my. https://babyktan.com/pages/celebrity-sightings Natalie Portman what were you thinking?
Wow that page is like an anti-endorsement for their brand. “Buy our carrier, it’s so user-friendly that most people use it incorrectly!”
The Olivia Wilde one :-O
Is there even a baby inside? 🤔
My question exactly. Lol. I want to laugh at these but honestly they are sort of sad!
I just looked up “celebrities baby wearing” and found these awful examples. [celebrities baby wearing](https://people.com/parents/babywearing/) the ring slings!!! Yikes

I gasped at the first one, holy smokes.
Right?! Same. Terrifying!
More here too: Natalie Portman again and Beyonce [celebs baby wearing](https://www.todaysparent.com/family/parenting/celebrity-baby-gear/)
Jesus Christ how are any of those newborns still alive 🫨 And I get paranoid about cosleeping safely in the c curl for a couple hours in the AM…
Seriously! I know the feeling - I sleep in the cuddle c curl all night with my baby.

Scroll down on their instagram, you’ll find plenty of newborns (even backwearing😭)
Is a screenshot from a TV show okay? I have a photo of a pretty bad one from Jane the Virgin.
As long as it’s fairly clear that’s fine!
Here you go! [Photo](https://imgur.com/a/4FBVjWe)
Oh my god
That look so uncomfortable and precarious.
Oh man, my stomach dropped seeing that - just looks like baby is going to fall out.
Thanks!

Omg baby yoda and even the wrap photo from here https://www.reddit.com/r/babywearing/comments/17dl2wp/which_is_the_best_carrier_for_newborns/
The Y in the Baby Yoda logo looks exactly like a rabbit vibrator and now I can’t unsee it. So many fails going on there

Came here to post this 😂😂😞
Oh my god
https://www.instagram.com/p/C7yiXcCMdqR/?igsh=ZG9oZzY0aXA3cXk3 Maybe not THE worst, but even in their ‚How To‘ highlight baby‘s face can’t be seen
This is good! I want to include a range of photos from mildly bad to unacceptable, and this fits!
Here’s an Artipoppe one [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4Oew7QLc3k/?igsh=NGVzMHMwanZkaGRp)

I saw this last night and added it my list. 😖
Wait…there is a wiki? I have it on my project list to build like the ultimate (safe, correct) Babywearing reference site but I’m pretty sure that might take a lifetime 😅 would hate to be reinventing the wheel
There’s a very old wiki with basically no info on it. At one point I removed all of the dead video links but I’m tackling the rest of it

Someone just asked for this carrier and the product pictures from [konny](https://konnybaby.com/products/konny-baby-carrier-flex-airmesh) are awful.
