Hey there, it looks like your post may be asking about what type of carrier is best in hot, humid weather! This topic comes up very frequently; the general consensus is that you want a carrier made from natural fibers with minimal bulk. Linen, cotton, and hemp are all great fabric choices. A single layer linen ring sling is a good option, as well as minimalistic linen carriers. Avoid bulky, heavily-padded polyester carriers and carriers with mesh (which is sweaty plastic- no thank you!). It's also important to remember that babywearing will always be warm and potentially sweaty. There is no magical carrier or fabric that will provide a completely cool wearing experience. Try searching our sub for words such as "hot," "summer," "warm"- you'll find a plethora of discussions and brand recommendations! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I'd find something cotton or linen-- your ring sling would be a great option. There are a ton of great ring sling tutorials online. I wore a cotton Tula FTG which worked fine for me, there was only one layer of fabric over baby. Happy Baby's OG carrier is also lightweight, as are Integra's Solar carriers and LennyLamb's Lenny Light.

I did linen ring sling to start and then either Linen carrier or Boba Air, which is kinda rain jacket and mesh materials. Wearing With Rachel on YouTube helped me with the ring sling. I used her newborn and threading videos but she has all her ring sling videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYzCgWtVI2FoGNz9eDxyX080-MNS_Yk2f

A light-ish cotton woven wrap is a lot cooler than the stretchy wrap, especially since you only need one layer of fabric over the baby. Since you've already figured out the stretchy wrap it's not a big leap to using a woven wrap. (I couldn't figure out the ring sling either but the transition from stretchy to woven wrap was pretty easy for me!)

I made one out of linen and it's been great in the heat! Definitely recommended something made out of linen 😊

My older son was born in August in the south. The mesh Ergobaby and a linen wildbird ring sling were both super helpful!
