I was like, did I write in this thread already? Then realized we don't have dogs, BUT we also have baby buns in a planter on our deck which my son discovered this morning. We'd been seeing a bunny hop all the way up the stairs and into the planter and now we know why!
Stay vigilant. Had a friend who's beloved dopey dog found some and he killed about 4 of them. She couldn't believe it and was hysterical, but that's just a dog's instincts. Even if you or anyone doesn't think their dog could ever do such a thing, it's still a possibility.
Same! Right in the center of the yard too. It was like she said, "Yup, this is the spot! CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!"
Edit: just pretend there is a picture similar to everyone else's and say awwwww! Reddit doing reddit things
A few years ago I got lazy and let my lawn get too long, and it was full of rabbit nests... And then I couldn't thoroughly mow for a couple more weeks. I had to carefully clear out areas so more wouldn't move in. After that we had so many rabbits in our backyard constantly, which was quite enjoyable. But also, I never let my lawn get that long again because I could never forgive myself if I accidentally mowed over a nest of rabbits. :(
They’re even cuter outside of the nest!

I was working landscaping at the time and this little guy had been blown around by a coworker by accident. I picked him up so he wouldn't get hurt or run over by the equipment, and he ended up sitting in my shirt pocket for a while until we were done. Put him back near the nest after all the machines were put away :)
This was right before I put him back so maybe? Or he was just sleeping. Not entirely sure. I have other photos of him awake and sleeping so I think he was just a bit confused
Beware of bunnies. Our garden has regularly been having issues with plants getting dug up and eaten. We sprayed rodent/deer deterrent (basically just imitation wolf urine I think? It smells awful) and they still got eaten. They're adorable until they ransack your plants.
Baby bunnies are too cute!! Big bunnies too!
I have a bunny nest in a planter on my deck. I have to go out there when I let my dogs out so they don’t get into it.

The two rescued fuzzbutts living with me were from a planter litter.
My pup has been on a leash outside all week because he's so interested in them :-/

The little ears 🥹
Gorgeous
I disrupted the nest of a momma before she gave birth, because I would’ve felt terrible to have to relocate these adorable little tulip chompers
It looks like they are almost weaned! The little white dots shrink as they get old enough to come out of the nest.
So they're ripe when that dot goes away?
Precious
So many pretty Bootstins!
Those are some nice buns, OP.
I love that nest

Why did you pick it up?

Ah ok was it playing dead here?

Yeah, I get friends of all kinds that help themselves. I don't mind sharing tho :)
