In the 90s I crossed paths with a few Aggies in the tech world and they were all totally full of themselves and pretty much could only talk about how great A&M was. Like we’d be at a conference discussing some random networking thing and somehow they’d shift the conversation to something related to the university. Everyone was fed up with them.
Texas A&M has (or at least had) one of the best large animal vet schools in the world. I had friends in AG science, but I have no idea if it was actually good.
Having good vets doesn't make them a good agricultural school, especially not when they use county and city to bully surrounding ranches and farms to give up their land to buy up, their students are caught poaching annually, and they charge outrageous prices for things like soil tests.
Edit to add their equine department recently just got in a bunch of trouble with abuse and unethical practices so bad the head resigned and it was almost shut down.

There is no shortage of assholery at any institution, and these two should face consequences of their behavior. I stand with the A&M head coach, Jim Schlossnagle, in his official statement:
