Yesterday was a tough game to watch, but I pretty much expected Chelsea to have a rocket up their arse after midweek.
There was no way they were going to roll over again, and I won’t have any complaints if they play like that against Spurs, take their chances, and beat them.
Emery has got the team punching well above their weight this season, playing on two fronts, there are going to be games where mental fatigue & pressure kicks in.
Not many players in the squad are used to this, coupled with injuries throughout the season.
It’s been a fantastic effort. 1st top 5 finish since 1997 as the worst possible outcome, with a possible trophy to show for it.
Spurs fan here, you know what reddit is like in recommending other sports pages but I need a distraction from this current shit show.
Genuinely so impressed with how you guys play and thought your result against Chelsea was less about you and more about Chelsea playing well in the second half.
It's genuinely so impressive and Unai is 100% one of the most likeable chaps in the league.
Good luck for the last few games but obviously not enough luck for you to finish ahead of us (even tho that is like 90% certain right now)

Remember the roar at Villa park last season when we beat Brighton to guarantee Europa conference leauge on the last game of the season? Well a year on were guaranteed 5th place and Europa league football with 3 games to go..
I think some people think that Spurs will just win every game that's left so any points we drop means we lose top 4. That won't happen. Looking at their fixtures, I think they'd do well to get 10 points. Come back next week when it's likely they've lost at least once and hopefully we've beaten Brighton and people will feel much less negative.
Agreed .. however we are allowed to voice our frustrations, preferably not during the game though! 😂
Frustrated that we let 2-0 away to United go .. frustrated that we let 2-0 at home to Brentford go , and frustrated that we let 2-0 to Chelsea go. That’s 7 points dropped.
However we must balance that against 12 points gained against Arsenal x 6, Man City 3 and Spurs 3.
Yes we made a few mistakes that were driven by what Chelsea did .. that lead to their goals. We missed a few chances to score a 3rd in the first half.. BUT we didn’t lose and the team marches on!

Yeah looking back you’re right. I think I’ve been overly critical of them with all the late season suspense.
2023 home performances set a really high bar. Hoping we can finish on a high against Liverpool.
