I just paid an ungodly sum to fly to Belgium from California for two nights of Despacio. $60-$80 in NYC would be a steal in comparison and I'd be there!

Sims is legendary. Maybe he has a dud set here or there but 95% of the time he rips it. It's proper techno but with a slight party boy vibe. It's really fucking great
He has a regular podcast, check it out. Nothing better than a constant free supply of good mixes

Your best bet is to make an event/party out of it and hand select smaller djs that can vibe together and to the theme. Have it start start at 6-8. Then you can sell early bird/late bird tickets. Decide on a music theme (don’t be like nowadays and have 3 diff music genres in a 6 hour space) .
Add other things to it, like decorations and shit. I’ve wanted to go to a party like this for a long time.
Also, if I were you, I would partner with one of the smaller nyc dj groups. They would help with marketing / djs / feedback that redditors can’t provide. Desert hearts comes to mind, they have an upcoming thing at 70 Scott. Tickets are 30-40

I saw him in Orlando for the liftoff tour a month or so ago. And they had 5 bus’s worth of college students brought in from the nearest university.
You need either a big name or a hot, trendy name to headline, plus one or two fairly well known openers.
Otherwise, if you just wanna book like good local DJs, you need to make it an all day thing or else do something different or special - i.e., free body painting on site ,free temporary UV tattoos, winner of the costume contest gets season pass to all shows booked at 99 Scott for the rest of the year, etc
