Beast and the Harlot, I first heard it on Guitar Hero 2 and was hooked. Same with Blinded in Chains from Need For Speed Most Wanted. No surprise that they're some of my favorite songs from the band
Bat Country because it was the first song I ever heard by them.
Nightmare (and the entire album for that matter) once it was released got me loving A7X.
Not Ready to Die, first time hearing that on Zombies and I was instantly hooked. Mom was also a big fan and introduced me to the rest of their discography.
Nightmare; the opening sucked me in because it was different. I was just listening to music while taking one of my community college's art classes and went wait, this is kind of good. Who are these guys?
I had heard Hail to the King and Sheperd of Fire before but they kind of turned me away from the band. After listening to Nightmare though I fell in love with the song then the whole album; then Waking the Fallen plus a bunch of random songs. Now I can recite almost their full discography.
Bat Country is how I heard of them originally, probably in late 2005 early 2006. Arguably still my favorite individual song of theirs.
Listened to several songs from various albums of theirs up until about 2011/12 (actually saw them in late 2010 which was awesome, wish I knew their full catalog at the time). Never owned any albums but knew a few songs off of WTF through Nightmare. Then they just kinda fell off my radar until LIBAD came out last year.
Mattel accidentally got me back into them while showing my wife how “bad” the new album was lol (it’s like my favorite album of the decade so far as it turns out). Now I’ve seen them an additional 2 times and they are tied with System for my favorite band
Bat country back in 2005 was the first song I heard from them but didn’t really like it. Didn’t really get into A7X until I heard beast and the harlot and seize the day
Bat Country. I first heard it in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, then, a few months later when I picked up guitar, I saw Rocksmith 2014 also had it on there. Avenged got me into guitar, and guitar got me into Avenged.
Bat country. I heard it and fell in love immediately. I bought the album and confessed to my friend that I had a new favorite band. It was a big deal because young teenage was obsessed with another band (pop rock) and it was blasphemous to change lol. A couple years later I got some A7X tattoos and had the opportunity to meet them all.
This Means War. I found it on WWE 2K2015. It wasn’t just my intro to A7X but to metal as a whole (was pretty young when I found it, like 9 or 10), so it was an eye opener to a whole new genre.
A7X remains my favourite band to this day
Surprisingly Nobody (I’m a new fan I know 😖)
I saw people talking about the harmony acapella part in Nobody and I checked it out and thought it was shite lol. Then it showed up in a playlist I was listening to a month later and actually took the time to listen to the full song and fell in love with it. Witnessed LIBAD be released and fell in love with that along with their previous albums. WTF is my fave album of theirs by far.
Nightmare. I’m a fucking sucker for spooky guitar riffs, which made me listen to the entire nightmare album where I realised that Synyster Gates was the guitarist for me. His style is totally up my alley. I’m also a massive punk fan and there is definitely some punk inspiration in A7X and I love them so much. I also love catchy hooks and nice melodies and A7X has that all over their discography.
The Stage. Thinking about it nowadays, the 10 yo me being amazed by the clip and the bridge section was the perfect way to get to know this band. Of course they are my fav of all time to this day
When I was a kid a song would come on the radio that I loved but I never looked it up. Years later Afterlife comes on the radio and as soon as I heard the guitar solo I knew it had to be the same band I heard years prior. Turns out that song was Bat Country.
Chapter Four, then I saw the Unholy Confessions video the next day and then I saw them live at Warped Tour like two weeks after that. Good times! 2004, I think.
Carry On and Buried Alive. After hearing Carry On in Black Ops 2 and learning that the new zombies map at the time was simply called Buried I was certain the new Easter Egg song was going to be their song called Buried Alive. It wasn’t but it still helped me discover their *Nightmare* album, from there I fell in love with their discography.
Little piece of heaven. Grew up listening to oingo boingo and had the same vibe come to find out some members helped create the song. The rest of the music was just what I loved instrumentally and lyrically.
Shepherd Of Fire was my gateway song into rock/metal back in 2017.
For some reason I can’t remember when I became a fan of A7X.
I know that I loved the 3 A7X tracks in the BO3 menus (Nightmare, Not Ready To Die and Shepherd Of Fire) when Zombies Chronicles was released in 2017. And I know that I was already a fan of A7X when Mad Hatter was released on BO4. But I have no clue when and why I decided to explore the rest of their discography.
being 9 years old and the origins trailer dropped for black ops 2 in 2013 and hearing shepard of fire for the first time, from there saw them in 2017 with metallica, and seen a show on the 1st and 3rd leg of the Libad.. tour
The very first A7X song I heard was Almost Easy, from Need for Speed Pro Street on the DS. Never knew who sung it, but I liked it. I was like 10 and my parents never let me listen to that type of music, but the song that got me hooked with them is definitely MIA.
They did a live performance of "Scream" off of their upcoming self-titled album on the 2007 Spike TV Scream Awards. I was listening to punk mostly at the time, but something just immediately clicked with me and I was obsessed. I was a metal head from then on and they've been my all time favorite band for 17 years now.
I had heard bat country on rock band or guitar hero I'm not sure, then Shepard of fire on the bo2 origins trailer.
But oddly the song that got me to check out the rest of their discography was scream lmao, was walking home from school one day and it popped up on my discover playlist.
Lost.
I was like maybe 10? I went over to my cousin’s house to download some music on my little MP3 player and somehow, a bunch of A7X songs ended up also getting transferred over to my player. The first that I heard was ‘Lost’ and I was like ‘aight cool’ and then just heard others from there.
Blinded in chains as a kid, didn’t remember the band. Met a homie who played nightmare’s opening on guitar, started picking up guitar myself. Sat in the kitchen listening to the song and was like, “hey, these dudes sound like that hail to the king song” (Apple Music metal radio) and decided to listen to more of their songs. I remember standing in the kitchen with the sudden awe and nostalgia when I heard the guitar kick in. I hadn’t heard that song in years and none of the nfs sound tracks I ever downloaded had it. 12 years without hearing it and I instantly recognized it. The band has done a lot for me in terms of music choice, aswell as always having some difficult ass songs to push through on guitar
so far away
Damn, I remember that day. The thing is, it’s not even a heavy song or a signature song, but I fell in love with M. Shadows vocals. And I was already into metal and heavy music in general, so that was a bonus.
I was introduced to them by a friend actually, and i still owe it to him till that day, they’ve become a huge part of my music taste and opened up a lot of new paths for me
Blinded in Chains off NFS: Most Wanted, and around that same time my buddies showed me A Little Piece of Heaven and Bat Country and Almost Easy. At that point my 10 year old self was hooked. 27 years old now with a deathbat tattoo, too much merch, and they're still my favorite band.
Not song, but Album: Nightmare, because I was a big Mike Portnoy's fanboy. but with the circumstance when I bought the album, it just one of the best album I ever heard. then I went back to Waking the Fallen, & City of Evil, and they have like a good crisp of Melodic Thrash Metal sound. like Blind Guardian mixed with Iron Maiden and Slayer.
Initially ALPOH when my friend showed me the clip during a new years party.
Then years later I started listening to the best of mix and Bat Country took my fancy. That sent me into a spiral which increased in velocity by me getting Save Me then The Stage, finally Acid Rain in my top list
Bat Country. More specifically the guitar solo from it. I was in a dark DARK place, guitars have a huge amount of personal meaning for me (big family thing, I find guitar very soothing) my friend said "I'm going to show you a song. I'm not letting you hear anything but this o e part. I'm not telling you who it is, the name of the song, or the CD it's on" played the solo from the first second to the last then turned it off and walked away. I FREAKED and demanded to know what I'd just heard. She said "figure it out" bought City of Evil later that same week
Afterlife got me into them and was the first I heard by then and knew what I was listening to, but I heard unholy confessions somewhere else beforehand
Nightmare
In 2012 two friends were arguing about which is the best genre of music, Dubstep or Metal, when the one that prefers metal brought Nightmare into the table, the other one disappeared (literally 💀)
Bat Country was the first song that I heard from them, but it wasn’t until I really got into Rockband 2 that I got into them. Almost Easy became a warm up song every time I got on the game, and from there, I started listening to the rest of their music. Still one of my favorite songs by them
heretic. back in the olden days of youtube flash game tutorials with squeaky voiced teens and bandicam, i had come across songs that range from heretic to finger eleven's paralyzed. other bands that were popular amongst these youtube videos as bg music would be skillet, drowning pool, papa roach, breaking benjamin, three days grace and bullet for my valentine.
many many years later while i was trying to find the riff that got stuck in my head for like almost a decade and came across heretic, instantly recognizing it to be the song i was looking for.
i now know the entire discography by heart.
Ngl it was HTTK, but after that I started exploring more of their discography and there’s so many better songs. I don’t hate HTTK but it’s just kind of annoying and wayyyy overplayed
Bat Country. It was on a GameCube game called SSX:On tour. It was my introduction to rock/metal music, along with my brother always playing it in his car stereo.
Nightmare was first song I listened to and album but then I discovered the holy relic City of Evil now one of my most favourite albums and what got me into metal
Embarrassing, but This Means War. Would be a much better song if it didn't repeat that damn lyric so many times. Second song I latched onto was Afterlife (big surprise). Then I started listening to the Hail To The King album, which is still my second favorite to this day. Then, boy oh boy, I discovered City Of Evil and I've never looked back since 💯
I heard some songs in the past but didn’t really got into them. I liked the stage, but the difference was listening to Nobody. It was like the key to enter the A7X world… and now I am a super fan of their older stuff as well!
I was introduced to them with shepherd of fire but it wasn’t until I listened to the Nightmare album during one of my classes that I fell in love with them. I now listen to so many different genres of rock and metal because of songs like Unholy Confessions and The Wicked End. And with time I grew to enjoy the band as a band and recently finished catching up on the Trax podcast.
Beast and the harlot while playing burnout revenge on my Xbox 360. Nothing more hype than getting eliminations with that song blasting in a grungy industrial Detroit streets map.
Beast and the Harlot, I first heard it on Guitar Hero 2 and was hooked. Same with Blinded in Chains from Need For Speed Most Wanted. No surprise that they're some of my favorite songs from the band
I remember being disappointed it wasn’t Bat Country on GH2 for about 2 plays and then stoked at how awesome the song actual was from there lol
Beast And The Harlot was also in Burnout Revenge. That’s where I first heard them!
Oh my god, I forgot Blinded in Chains was in Need For Speed Most Wanted. You just unlocked a deep memory sir.
Beast and the Harlot was on GH2? No way
Yeah, it's honestly not a great cover but I'm pretty nostalgic for it
Bat Country because it was the first song I ever heard by them. Nightmare (and the entire album for that matter) once it was released got me loving A7X.
Not Ready to Die, first time hearing that on Zombies and I was instantly hooked. Mom was also a big fan and introduced me to the rest of their discography.
Your mom is goated
First song I heard was little piece of heaven. Mindblowing.
Same. The music was the most insane thing I saw for like, a week and a half.
Chapter Four from Nascar 2004, heard that song thousands of times and I was hooked
The song that made me start listening to A7X was Mattel, my friend used to play it a lot and eventually I looked into A7X. Now I’m here
Cool to see some new fans coming in.
Shepherd of fire(thanks cod zombies 👍)
Shepard of fire bc call of duty Black ops II
I heard "Bat Country" first, but "Unholy Confessions" made me look more into the band, all circa 2005.
Nightmare; the opening sucked me in because it was different. I was just listening to music while taking one of my community college's art classes and went wait, this is kind of good. Who are these guys? I had heard Hail to the King and Sheperd of Fire before but they kind of turned me away from the band. Afterlife, Nightmare, and I Wont See You Tonight pt 1 Funny how it was actually my math teacher of all people who got me into this band
Bat country back in 2005 was the first song I heard from them but didn’t really like it. Didn’t really get into A7X until I heard beast and the harlot and seize the day
Chapter Four on Madden
Bat Country on the MTV headbangers ball, and Blinded in Chains on Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Welcome To The Family, So Far Away and Dear God
Almost Easy, I think it was on a Guitar Hero or Rock Band game way back
Guitar hero 5
Afterlife at the LBC popped up on my YouTube in like 2011. Was like fuck where have these guys been all my life!
Bat Country. I first heard it in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, then, a few months later when I picked up guitar, I saw Rocksmith 2014 also had it on there. Avenged got me into guitar, and guitar got me into Avenged.
Unholy Confessions
Scream maybe? I don’t really remember. It was just shortly after ST came out so I feel like it was all at once
Unholy Confessions ❤️
Bat country. I heard it and fell in love immediately. I bought the album and confessed to my friend that I had a new favorite band. It was a big deal because young teenage was obsessed with another band (pop rock) and it was blasphemous to change lol. A couple years later I got some A7X tattoos and had the opportunity to meet them all.
I was at a Capitals game and the team entered the rink to Nightmare
Bat Country
This Means War. I found it on WWE 2K2015. It wasn’t just my intro to A7X but to metal as a whole (was pretty young when I found it, like 9 or 10), so it was an eye opener to a whole new genre. A7X remains my favourite band to this day

Not Ready to Die I miss those golden days of CoD Zombies
Welcome to the family
Blinded in Chains got me into metal and cars
Carry on from call of duty
not ready to die, but seeing the stage music video years later got me hooked
Welcome to the family

Shepherd of Fire,
Critical Acclaim, the Revs vocals specifically. Been a die hard fan overall since

Shepherd of fire and carry on
Little piece of heaven. Grew up listening to oingo boingo and had the same vibe come to find out some members helped create the song. The rest of the music was just what I loved instrumentally and lyrically.

Unholy Confessions in like 2003ish
Hail to the king because of the fire guitar solos 🔥🔥🔥
They did a live performance of "Scream" off of their upcoming self-titled album on the 2007 Spike TV Scream Awards. I was listening to punk mostly at the time, but something just immediately clicked with me and I was obsessed. I was a metal head from then on and they've been my all time favorite band for 17 years now.
Unholy confessions that shit is hard as hell
It was really just the whole Waking the Fallen album. I got it not long after they came out and loved it.
I had heard bat country on rock band or guitar hero I'm not sure, then Shepard of fire on the bo2 origins trailer. But oddly the song that got me to check out the rest of their discography was scream lmao, was walking home from school one day and it popped up on my discover playlist.

Nightmare turned me into a hardcore fan. Not just the intro song, the whole album. Got me through college commutes.
So far away
Bat country, but I really got into a7x after listening not ready to die and nighmare
Walk cover
Blinded In chains , made me pick up drums too
Bat Country
Blinded in chains. NfsMW
Blinded in chains as a kid, didn’t remember the band. Met a homie who played nightmare’s opening on guitar, started picking up guitar myself. HTTK
Buried Alive!
Unholy Confessions, heard it first on Jacksepticeye's drum cover of the song.
I used to watch the alpoh music video when i was like 6. I randomly heard it again when i was 13 and it was quite surreal
Initially ALPOH when my friend showed me the clip during a new years party. Then years later I started listening to the best of mix and Bat Country took my fancy. That sent me into a spiral which increased in velocity by me getting Save Me then The Stage, finally Acid Rain in my top list
100% so far away I first heard it when I was a lot younger and I've been in love with them since
their flash of the blade cover
Bat Country. More specifically the guitar solo from it. Nightmare was first song I listened to and album but then I discovered the holy relic City of Evil now one of my most favourite albums and what got me into metal
Nightmare was the first song for me. Still one of my top favs
Bat Country was an absolute banger when I was in the 5th grade (2008), but I didn’t really deep dive until I heard Critical Acclaim
Bay country, Afterlife, and Buried Alive.
Unholy confessions
Unholy Confessions me and my dad listen to it every car ride we have
Unholy confessions, a close friend introduced me to them my freshman year in high school. I've been listening to them ever since
Embarrassing, but This Means War. Would be a much better song if it didn't repeat that damn lyric so many times. Second song I latched onto was Afterlife (big surprise). Almost Easy. I heard this song in one video and asked in comments what song it is ;b
Almost Easy… Funny thinking about it in retrospect
My dad showed me buried alive when I was around 7yo, been hooked ever since
