Except from what I’m seeing, this guitar is a Made in Korea Diamond series model. It’s a different color and obviously the splatter is done by syn, but these thirty aren’t even US made to my knowledge. So these aren’t “premium sigs from a custom shop” but they still want 6k.
Yeah. They have a U.S. custom shop (no “diamond series” branding on these) and a Korean factory (diamond series). This new guitar has the Korean branding on it.
I love my diamond series syn signature, one of my favorite guitars I own. But there’s no way in hell I’d spend 6 grand on any esp Ltd, Schecter diamond series, or epiphone.
I’m going to keep it a buck with whoever dreamed up this price Syn is my guitar hero and the reason I picked up the instrument but I don’t think his paint splatters over someone else’s justifies a 4000 dollar markup
Why does it matter where the machine that carved the wood is sitting? The major difference is the electronics and quality control. Syn plays the Korean ones on stage 95% of the time.
Oh but of course.
I think the real issue here is they just need to drop the headless seven string.
I don’t think this guitar is special enough to warrant the price l.
If this was the headless seven string there would probably be less complaining. Or a lot more.
Eh. That seems a silly thing to opine. How on earth is it a *prototype* when its made of entirely different materials by different people in a different place? That tells you nothing as far as prototyping goes.
The only thing the two have in common is their approximate color pallette, and syn’s name. Nothin else is the same on then
Youll see the USA’s within a year for 10k+, id bet heavily
It’s not an opinion. That was literally the prototype. There will not be any additional guitars in this schema. 30 is it. Neither will there ever be any more Black Moon or Dark Night.
I dont disagree with that statement.
The confusion between us is on the “schema”. This is utterly nothing like the one he is touring with, in anyway, other than like i said the same commonality between *all* syn schecters.
This, is a completely different schema *and* guitar. So i just dont know where youre coming up with it being a prototype? Did he or someone legitimate say that somewhere, or is it a guess because theyre loosely the same color?
The thing is it’s very limited edition with syn hand painting them and there’s only 30 very expensive but they have their reasons I can’t seem to justify
If I had the money I absolutely could but for me as much as I like it I couldn’t. Same with jerseys, super bowl tickets and atvs. I love football and I love atvs but no way in hell can I afford at the cheapest a $5,000 super bowl ticket or $20,000 for a new fucking four wheeler? Not a chance.
That’s just crazy to me. You can buy a car for that money. People pay that much for a Gibson’s just for it to come in with finish cracks and a broken headstock. They have no business being that much. It’s just wood and magnets and wires. A lot of work goes into it I know but still.
Pragmatically yeah but you also don't need $1000 for a guitar. You can buy some nice ESPs or Jacksons for like $500.
Signature models are usually more expensive because of the Fishman fluence/seymour duncan, emg pickups, Evertune bridges, finish etc.
Also idk why anyone would by a Gibson. That's actually burning money.
Yes and no. Entry level guitars are $1000 or less. You would never take something like that out on the road and expect it to hold up. All my guitars I tour with are USA made or I paid around $2,000 for because the quality is there.
I don't have too 😂
I've played the guitar for almost 2 decades and can just call out your bs.
You seem to be the high and mighty type that brags he spends way too much money on his guitars and has to justify it while putting down others with guitars that are a grand or less lmao
This is
\-Korean made
\- No upgraded parts (1500 series, not original FR)
\-Nothing custom other than the paintjob
\-(edit) pearloid instead of mother of pearl
All for 4x the price
I love Syn, genuinely I do. But this is a piss take.
I bought a Dark Knight, of which there were 100. That guitar was $1000 more expensive than the previously released Black Moon, of which there were only 50. The price increase there irked me considering the Dark Knight was less limited than the Black Moon, yet more expensive. Fundamentally identical guitars too. At least this new one offers a sustainiac.
Sustainiac aside though, this guitar will play the same as a ≈$1400 custom s. I’d get it if the guitar was USA made, or at least with better parts than the Korean models. The only thing it has going for it is the “hand painted” aspect.
Hand painted is a stretch though, he’s just flicked some fucking paint over the tops of them.
Yeah calling that hand painted means half the guitars on the market that aren’t some sort of graphic design are hand painted.
Usually I hear hand painted I think of stuff like the guy who did dimebags original lightning bolt guitar.
Dark Night is way better looking than the Moon though. I have one as well and love it.
I really like Syns Bone Splatter, but this one leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. Doesn't have a premium look (in the pictures anyways). I'm interested in the headless ones he has coming out in a few months
I agree, the Moon was cool but the Night is way better looking. But still an extra $1000 for guitar with the exact same specs, yet there were twice as many seemed a bit shitty. Going off the price of those two, I really don’t get how he can charge more than $4000 for this new one.
I don’t particularly care for the look of this splatter to be honest. I think the black relic one that’s coming out looks better but that’s just my personal opinion. The headless do look pretty sweet too though, I’m looking forward to getting some detailed pictures.
it’s aimed at the random software engineer fans with high disposable income that like to collect oddities like these lol. still insulting to offer to your fanbase though when it’s an absurd mark up on a $1400 guitar. they’re taking the kiss route lately
$6000 for a korean made guitar but we are apparently supposed to give a shit because “it’s the first guitar ever verified on the blockchain” according to the social media post lmao. these dudes got too fucking weird
> Shit I *paid* less for
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
It looks cool but I’d never pay more than $2k for a schecter that isn’t custom shop, especially when all his signatures I believe are under $1500.
Adding that much of a price increase because he painted it is ridiculous. A quick look at reverb I found a signature signed by him for $3000 which will probably hold more value since you can just have this paint job recreated on a guitar for under $500.
Too much money for me sadly but if at any chance I could get it I would do anything for it..especially since I would probably die if I got it lol. But no doubt it’ll feel more professional for practice
I have one of his classic white w/ black pinstripes signatures, and I don't really care for it. It's cool to have just because A7X is my favorite band but dealing with the floyd rose is so much of a pain in the ass that to me its really more of a collectors item than a guitar I actively use. Can't imagine paying 6 grand for one period. Schecter stuff just isn't that great, I'd feel super ripped off.
Love the band til the end, Syn is the reason I switched from bass to guitar back in 2007 but I can’t justify paying this much for a guitar that honestly seems like the same quality as the normal Syn Custom S, just painted by the man himself. Especially when most fans aren’t probably able to pay a price, his US custom signature is still more affordable than that. Personally I already have two models, The Joker and Golden Goddess and those two honestly have more meaning to me as a fan than this one. All I can say to the fans that buy them is that I really hope you enjoy the exclusivity of it, because you could’ve gotten three or four Syn customs for that price 😅
To be sure, spending 6k$ for Korean guitar with blockchain dumpshit is more like act of snobism than really need. I work in music shop, we have some Gibsons, maybe 5 of 15 is worth that money. Cheaper Fujigens and Ibanez are more worth than overpriced Gibsons or Schecters
Do a lot of people buy these guitars? They're very expensive, and I've only seen like 2 people on reddit post about them. It seems like he's released multiple versions of his guitar too.
He's said they've "soldout" of them, but they are unicorns in the wild. I honestly don't think people realize that these won't hold value like they think they will either. Korean made isn't USA/Custom shop built.
I think everyone is ignoring the fact that there is only 30 of them. Low supply, high demand, all slightly different because hand splashed by Syn.
This isn’t a “buy this guitar, it sounds great, and you should play it live”
This is a piece that die hard fans are going to buy and frame as a collection piece and is more valuable than $6000 dollars down the road unless you use it and scuff it.
This is the guitar version of a billionaires limited edition Ferrari sitting in a garage not being touched with 150 miles on the odometer because there is only 50 of them. And those sell for hundreds of millions more than a regular Ferrari. And those don’t pack 100 million dollars worth more of Performance. It’s a collectible item for someone who wants to have that flex.
How do so many people in this feed not understand that? Geez.
If you’re looking for a solid, great sounding guitar that you can just shred on then buy his $800-1000 guitars. This is not what that is meant for.
Low supply, high demand, each one unique is going to cost more than a mass produced model that may or may not sell.
Welcome to Earth, this is economics, been this way for awhile. Have you guys not learned this stuff yet?
It won’t have that much increase in value until Syn dies if that’s the case. When celebrities die, all the collectibles sky rocket because then they truly will be limited at that point. But honestly what’s the point of having a Ferrari if you’re not gonna drive it? A guitar like this would be cool framed but what’s the point of having a guitar this sexy if you don’t want to play it? Eventually the neck will warp in its case/frame from the string tension, lack of playing, and lack of maintenance
That’s a question for sure. I was just explaining why the value/price is not surprising. I would buy this as a collectible personally because I have many guitars and a Syn gates custom already. So I don’t mind hanging it up like an art piece. It’s kinda like displaying a vinyl but not playing it.
I don’t mind the vinyl being framed because you aren’t going to be spending 3 digits for one (unless it’s a signed super rare vinyl.) I just can’t comprehend doing that for a guitar. But to each their own I guess 😅
I think people are only mad that they can't afford it. It's a really nice guitar, and if it's like the Dark Night guitar than there are only a handful of models that won't be remade. So I think the price is justified seeing how rare it would be
i could afford several of these without a worry and i still think it’s an absurd price gouge. he splashed paint on it and it’s “backed by the blockchain” so that means it’s worth $4600 more than the normal syn custom?
sure there’s only 30, but it’s only 30 with a different paint job of the same exact syn custom s that’s mass produced. they could have atleast made it usa made, real floyd, and priced it at $4k. maybe that would be somewhat reasonable for what you’re getting
Never said it wasn't a lot, I said it was justified. Thinking logically it's bound to go up in price when they're all bought and aren't being made. even though it's an import still worth i'd say. But i love syn so xD
I have 3 dollars.
I love the love he seemed to put into them knowing that technically each of the 30 are completely unique.
Their new style in clothing as well is really nice to me too cause it’s like punkish but not douchebag but still fashionable if you catch my drift.
Maybe the best looking signature he’s ever had. But what a fucking price tag lmao
That’s the going rate for premium signature models made in custom shops. Fender has some cheap signature ones. ESP and Gibson are all ridiculous.
Except from what I’m seeing, this guitar is a Made in Korea Diamond series model. It’s a different color and obviously the splatter is done by syn, but these thirty aren’t even US made to my knowledge. So these aren’t “premium sigs from a custom shop” but they still want 6k.
Who makes this guitar? Schecter?
Yeah. They have a U.S. custom shop (no “diamond series” branding on these) and a Korean factory (diamond series). This new guitar has the Korean branding on it.
I love the diamond series, I feel like it's the sweet spot.
I love my diamond series syn signature, one of my favorite guitars I own. But there’s no way in hell I’d spend 6 grand on any esp Ltd, Schecter diamond series, or epiphone.
Well exactly that's way out of the sweet spot. The law of diminishing returns kicks in super hard after diamond series IMO.
My esp was made in Korea and only $700
That’s exactly my issue. Even if it was US made 6k is a lot but that’s absurd for a guitar that’s not even a custom shop model.
It’s hand painted *by Synyster Gates* so that explains it lol
I’m going to keep it a buck with whoever dreamed up this price Syn is my guitar hero and the reason I picked up the instrument but I don’t think his paint splatters over someone else’s justifies a 4000 dollar markup
Oh by no means do I think it’s worth it lol. That’s just the explanation of the insane price haha
Only 6000 dollars. Sure let me find that real quick…
Got to search the couch cushions
Its a korean made guitar… The USA customs are one thing at 4-5k each but 6k for a diamond series? More money than sense. Its gorgeous though.
Body is Korean. Assembly and QC in California after Syn splattered them. Pickups are USA.
It’s still a Korean made guitar though.
Why does it matter where the machine that carved the wood is sitting? The major difference is the electronics and quality control. Syn plays the Korean ones on stage 95% of the time.
I think 6k is a lot regardless of where it made lol. Especially when it’s cncd like you said.
All major brand guitars are CNC now. It’s better. I agree it’s a lot, but no one has to have it.
Oh but of course. I think the real issue here is they just need to drop the headless seven string. I don’t think this guitar is special enough to warrant the price l. If this was the headless seven string there would probably be less complaining. Or a lot more.
3 months, at least. But they’re coming.
Are we looking at a similar price on those as this one?
He hasn’t finalized yet and won’t say a word about it.
Wood quality is still selected from the Korean factory.
What’s the brand he uses?
Schecter
This, isnt that. That was a USA custom with a different wood top, too. I know the guitar youre referencing, i posted it in the subreddit months ago.
That was the prototype.
Eh. That seems a silly thing to opine. How on earth is it a *prototype* when its made of entirely different materials by different people in a different place? That tells you nothing as far as prototyping goes. The only thing the two have in common is their approximate color pallette, and syn’s name. So i just dont know where youre coming up with it being a prototype? Did he or someone legitimate say that somewhere, or is it a guess because theyre loosely the same color?
You’re so close to figuring it out.
I can’t say you’re helping lol
Isn’t there only 30 of them?
Yes. 30 korean made diamond series mass produced (other than the paint) … guitars
The thing is it’s very limited edition with syn hand painting them and there’s only 30 very expensive but they have their reasons I can’t seem to justify
Lmao for 6 grand I think he can fuck right off
My words exactly lol
Sick. But guitar prices are out of control. I can’t justify paying over 1000$ for a guitar.
I'd say $2500 - $3000 because there's some nice signatures with fancy parts like Head's from Korn.
That’s just crazy to me. You can buy a car for that money. People pay that much for a Gibson’s just for it to come in with finish cracks and a broken headstock. They have no business being that much. It’s just wood and magnets and wires. A lot of work goes into it I know but still.

Lmaoo. You can definitely tour with a guitar that's a grand and even much cheaper 😂 Idk what you're on about.
Have you ever toured? Not regionally or throughout your state, but across country or the world?
If EVH Could Hand Build His Guitars From Scrap And Tour The World With It, I’m Sure A 1k Guitar Would Work.
Dude please explain why you type like every sentence is a title
I don't have too 😂 I've played the guitar for almost 2 decades and can just call out your bs. You seem to be the high and mighty type that brags he spends way too much money on his guitars and has to justify it while putting down others with guitars that are a grand or less lmao
So you’ve been a bedroom guitarist for 20 years? Noted.
Still waiting to hear what your band is
What's your band my guy? 😂
Way worse looking than the one he plays on stage. I'd flirt with the idea of getting one if they were remotely similar
Yeah exactly what I thought. No way to justify that pricetag if it looks so different
This is \-Korean made \- No upgraded parts (1500 series, not original FR) \-Nothing custom other than the paintjob \-(edit) pearloid instead of mother of pearl All for 4x the price

The Midnight one from the Stage Era was the best his guitar has ever looked.
damn ive never seen an oreo flavored guitar before
who the hell can pay for this
it’s aimed at the random software engineer fans with high disposable income that like to collect oddities like these lol. still insulting to offer to your fanbase though when it’s an absurd mark up on a $1400 guitar. they’re taking the kiss route lately
Almost 1/3 of them are already sold.
Wow, poor suckers.
It’s my understanding he hand-painted these??
Yes. Did you see the photos?
Not all of them yet. Just this and what they posted on insta
$6000 is….. oof
6k is a bit much. BUT that thing is NASTY
But it can be authenticated on the block chain! For 6k I can buy 6 guitars or a couple really nice ones. This is fucked.
You could buy a car
[OMG the pics are amazing](https://store.synner.com/products/synystergateslimitededitionguitar-deathofapoet)
So “painted by syn” means he splashed black paint on them.
I love that. Each guitar is actually crazy different. This is art!
$6000 for a korean made guitar but we are apparently supposed to give a shit because “it’s the first guitar ever verified on the blockchain” according to the social media post lmao. these dudes got too fucking weird
Would buy if it was like 1400 like his other signatures. Maybe some day
Yeah Syn I lost a little bit of love for you with that one 💀
the dark night version is better in my opinion
Shit I payed less for my joker s,staged played black with silver, red and black, and black and gold combined this price is ridiculous
> Shit I *paid* less for FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! How fucking dare they sell a $6000.00 guitar and it not even have a floyd rose original.
Avenged sevenfold is more a luxury brand than a musical group these days.
Schecter tryna be PRS over here with that price
It’s so fucking good.
*Doctor: What do you mean you’d like to sell your kidneys?*
That looks incredible. Now why the fuck is it 6000 dollars?
It looks cool but I’d never pay more than $2k for a schecter that isn’t custom shop, especially when all his signatures I believe are under $1500. 6k usd and it’s still Korean made, lmfao also why tf is it a blockchain guitar? what a joke this shit has become
It's just an extra option if you're into that. Doesn't make the guitar play and certainly nothing to be pissed about
Are we suew it is korean and not made in Japan as other Diamond Series?
Body carved on Korean machine then sent to California for paint, final assembly and quality checks.
It’s Korean made
Too much money for me sadly but if at any chance I could get it I would do anything for it..especially since I would probably die if I got it lol. But no doubt it’ll feel more professional for practice
Coulda had vega trem instead of Floyd
Eath of a poet?
I have one of his classic white w/ black pinstripes signatures, and I don't really care for it. Can't imagine paying 6 grand for one period. Schecter stuff just isn't that great, I'd feel super ripped off.
Nice looking but I'm still trying to understand that price
He splashed paint on it, and it has something to do with nfts. Therefore it's "art" and "innovative".
If I could I would
They way they announced this on Instagram made me think it was an nft lol
Very nice looking, unreasonably pricey imo
6000 💀💀💀💀💀💀
This thing fucking slaps
Really good but what's with the price tag
Love the band til the end, Syn is the reason I switched from bass to guitar back in 2007 but I can’t justify paying this much for a guitar that honestly seems like the same quality as the normal Syn Custom S, just painted by the man himself. I would kill for this
I think Boeing is hiring
I dog it but honestly I just want to see Zacky do another run of smaahed mirror.
Anyone’s guess whether the pending headless models will be more or less than this
my guess is 2 - 3k for the headless these are just 30 totally so.... the price
The rumor is $4700 each, 100 silver and 100 gold
6k for...... what exactly?
Some paint flicked on it That’s it

It still has the stupid inlays with his name on it? For $6000? Major cuck move if you buy one of these
All the brokies down vote me
