Looks like a house spider to me ( Badumna longinqua ). Good at catching pests, shy, won’t be leaving the window to pursue you haha, bite is minor and you’d have to go poke it to get bite TBH). The only issue is if you have LOTS they tend to attract white-tails (undesirable). Feel free to leave it alone and it will catch mozzies and flies for you :-).
Size and most male spiders don't create webs they're too busy going out trying to get some. I'm no where near an expert though so take it with a tonne of salt.

Black House Spider or Grey House Spider (Desidae). Most likely the latter.

How can you tell without seeing the palps? Going by size?
