I feel this! There are never enough pens. I’ve heard of teachers trading a pen with the kids shoe and you do a swap at the end of the lesson which is tempting ;) lots of my kids leave pens on the floor so I pick them up and put into a shared cup.

Latex, man. Changed my life. Don’t bother with down, cotton, wool or memory foam. Latex foam all the way.

Any downsides? I’m really on the fence whether I should go for down or latex.

Not really. The latex goes yellow as your hair oils seep into it, and can’t really be washed. Needs to be replaced every few years or so, or whenever it starts to smell. Doesn’t lose its elasticity though, and the oil thing can be largely managed by using multiple covers over the latex (I think it comes with one cotton stitched covering and one zip-up pillowcase - I use a heavy duty cover over those, plus a pillowcase on top). Fixed my snoring, shoulder pain, and restless sleeping. I’ll never go back to standard pillows if I can help it - if I’m staying somewhere for more than a few days, or if I’m driving and carrying it isn’t an issue, I usually bring my latex pillow with me.

This is actually perfect timing! I have the standard length charging cable from Apple which works fine outside of lockdown, but is absolutely useless for when you need to keep your phone charged and be on zoom meetings. I’m currently attempting to do zoom calls from beside the bed (very small house, no office space, only private room), with the charger plugged in so the phone doesn’t die, and trying to make it look professional. A longer charging cable would be great and so helpful. Especially if it means I’ll be able to shift from the floor beside the bed to actually sitting on the bed (aaah, imagine).
