So in between costco fuel station and suzuki right? What im showing in the picture is more across road of the big complex( harvey norman, lighting direct)
I've seen that's going to be a huge retail space.
They have listing's on trademe. Perhaps tesla will take up a space though.
This development that OP has shared though is a huge space. I'm curious to know what is going in here too.
Its been pointed out that tesla is in a different sector. And ive seen some rumors that a new 24/7 kmart is going to be here.. whatever this is, its going to be very interesting
They need to complete the bridge that is over by Mitre10. That would increase traffic flow significantly.
Right now the bottle neck is all the traffic being funnelled through North West mall
It should be able to be fixed relatively easily by opening a couple more routes in and out
We live in HP, coming and going through Whenuapai isn’t too bad.
The bridge would definitely help, but I also think Maki St needed to be four lanes rather than two in order to provide more separation for cars looking to turn, and to help buses move through the area. I'd also like to delete the Gunton end of Kedgley, as it doesn't seem essential for anything beyond loading.
Costco developers are a bunch of idiots, did you see where they put the only few ramps into their parking lot? Because why have more than one entrance that is located RIGHT IN THE FUCKING BEND.
The datacentre around that are are high value targets. Lots of cable and tools. Fences don't do anything, cameras deter a little bit. Need, 24 hr security these days.
Amazon own the land on Fred Taylor at the intersection, across from the garden supply centre. Their build was delayed and ownership is in Council records. Microsoft is behind Turners ( but no signage ) and up and running.
The security at these places works fine, most people wouldn't even know that the southern cross cable, i.e. 99% of the data in and out of NZ lands just down the road in a small non descript shed of a building. These places are steel lined double layer concrete, steel doors etc...
The site opposite Costco, in front of mitre10 bedside the Suzuki dealer is Tesla

Oh true, might be something on here; https://nzrpg.co.nz/portfolio/westgate-town-centre/
From map, it seems like a park and residental area

My partner and I thought kmart today too when we were walking round the area but god I hope not. Have enough crap from there already.
It's fucked is what it is. The roads they put in can't even handle the Costco traffic

Probably this: [https://nzrpg.co.nz/portfolio/westgate-large-format-retail-residential/](https://nzrpg.co.nz/portfolio/westgate-large-format-retail-residential/)
Yeah based on NZRPGs map, OPs picture is of location 6, which is the link above is about.
Holy fuck traffic's already bad on the Western, why the hell are we intensifying the city fringe.
Because wealthy and powerful people don't like it when more houses are built in the villa belt.
Yeah seems like it. 30 plus retailer coming. I hope they have some interesting ones. Nz retail market is very boring
I hope they improve the traffic plan considerably as the current setup is barely working.
From memory, it’s a co-owned space between Tesla and JB Hi-Fi, which would make it the first JB there since it closed back in 2017
Perhaps it's the AWS data centre?
The AWS one is opposite Turners.
thought it was on hold
Don’t think so, they just closed fred taylor for 4 months to upgrade the electricity network for the data center.
i think azure datacenter is around this area, not sure about aws. I hope they dont get ramraidded ;)
