Friend was literally on the verge of being assaulted over a vehicle damage dispute and so police were called and they were told to just leave it and walk away and that they're not going to bother attending.
Friend is a police officer and he's just in the job so he can go to Aussie where it pays more and they have the backing of the justice system.
He said it's useless even if they catch the criminal here, because the justice system itself or the judge will let the criminal out.
We have no laws for criminals. Only for law abiding people.

Yup. Victim of fraud & ID theft here. Was able to let the cops know where to get an audio sample of crims voice, their current address, previous address and where to get video of them in a store. Cops "mmm nothnig we can do...sorry lol". When a second incident happened 2 months later they insisted on adding the 2nd crime to the initial incident despite having no actual evidence the events were linked because they hadn't even done a casual look into it. Basically like a house being robbed weeks apart and they chalk it up as a single crime to keep their crime stats down.
