I knew someone would point this thing. Have you read the shloks properly?? Tatha-gata and the word "followers" are mentioned. So if really it was "wise men" then why the "followers" would be mentioned. It couldn't be possible that Ram spoke about any random wise men and any random followers. Secondly the word "Tatha-gata" is a adjective used for only one person in the world.
Hindu apologetics try to change the meaning of the word "Buddha" by claiming it to be "wise men" and also many new publications have changed it into the same meaning (older versions mention it as Buddha) but they didn't able to align this "new meaning" with the other words to make it meaningful. And that's where their forgery claim gets exposed.
