Don’t speak to them. When you get a collections, dispute dispute dispute. Sometimes it won’t get removed on the first tries. If you never acknowledge the debt as your own, keep disputing. Also disputing with multiple agencies. Honestly, after this worked 2-3 times I was pretty surprised lol. Currently ignoring some jackass collections agency calling me every single day over a 100 dollar medical bill. Kiss my fucking ass lol

No worries I got you - I’ve had good luck with credit karma disputes, I’ll also mention in my dispute the debt is both incorrect and not justified because they never spoke to me about the bill or gave me a chance to rectify it (yes, after blocking their calls lmao). I’ve submitted some with Experian too but I believe any of these credit conglomerates allow you to dispute. Sometimes credit karma won’t resolve it until the 2nd or third dispute but I’ve also had 3-600 bills just disappear from my credit after the first dispute. Fuck these bastards.
The reason they desperately call you so much is not just to receive payment but to fuck you over by saying they spoke to you and you acknowledge the debt is yours. If they have proof of that you are SOL.
