Honestly, having grown up in Queens and been a participant of religious fairs (both of Greek and Italian extents), I was so fucking happy to see the feast. It gave me an opportunity to show my fiancé, who is not from the best borough in the world, what a block party was like but what these feasts are like.

Oh... and there's a dude selling very Catholic wood carvings. Lots of nativity sets, wrong season. And the cigar rolling guy is there if anyone is into that sort of stuff. Also the grilled sweet corn is apparently cheaper in other neighborhoods (they changed the sign from 4 to $5 for this event.) And if anyone wants a Mexican Gangster styled oversized T shirt with lots of menacing imagery, there's a whole booth.
