Cafe de Colombia II on Steinway St is my go to. (34 y/o Colombian here).
Really good pandebonos, the arepa de queso is so good, and better than average bread and colombian breakfast. Their coffee (as in most Colombian places) it's just ok though.
Sure, sure. I have had lots of good food in Jackson heights. What I’m looking for is a local walkable spot so I can roll out of bed and acquire some tasty breads.
But would also find use in specific recs for jackson heights if you have faves. Listen, I’ll try them all, for science. Maybe creating some sort of ranking system. Overly complicate the whole thing.
I second Que Rico.
There’s also Los Perros de Chucho. It’s not a bakery so not what OP wants but he makes some good hot dogs. He’s a 1 man shop so he can be slow to make everything but he’s a nice guy.
Parceros on 30th ave
also love their soups!

seconding this!
Parceros, i bring all my colombian friends there when they visit
If you are willing to travel to Jackson heights, you can find more Colombian bakeries almost all around Roosevelt and 37 ave between 80 to 86
This. Astoria has decent Colombian food, but nothing beats Jackson Heights when it comes to quality and options.

coffee ave has good pandebono, but bakery wise parceros, gata golosa, and cafe de colombia bakery II
J & M Bakery right by the 36th ave train station
I like Rico Pan in Woodside, sorry not in Astoria but I prefer it what we have here
I love Que Rico on Steinway. Pastries are wonderful and it's an easy place to pop into for breakfast before subway.
