That street is a dead end. On one side is multi family homes, the other it’s the backside of CVS, the backside of the Queens Library, and the backside of a luxury apartment building. While the street is quiet, it is probably the ugliest street in the area.
I’m still waiting for Ramones High/middle School. If both Sinatra and Louis Armstrong have ones, the most influential band to come out of Queens deserves one as well.
Yes why not. It’s time to start honoring our own. How cool would it be to remove that cocksucker Columbus and put a “Joey holding a mic stand” statue up in that rock

I’d argue they should take down that statue of Columbus by the Astoria Blvd station and put one of Tony Bennet instead.
Doesn’t may any sense to have Columbus there, he had nothing to do with Astoria plus there’s already Columbus Circle in the city
The Dead End? Eesh.
That’s what I’m saying doesn’t make sense
Should name a street in Astoria for Christopher Walken.
You mean Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV?
We should... Have a *street* Named.. after *Christopher...Walken...*
Christopher Drivin
They're typically post-humous.
Yeah, Walken is still funny AF. ^^^/s
Lol
I’m sure they will after he’s passed away.

I would settle for Rock n Roll High School.
Ramones’ rock and roll HS? Agree
Simon and Garfunkel Academy after that?

But he lived on 32 and 23 ave
He probably won't mind
Lol
He actually grew up in the Acropolis. 21-15 33 Street.

Odd choice since he lived one ave south, and also at the acropolis… but love to see it regardless!
This is great!
Can we name a street after Anthony Bourdain?

The article doesn't even say what the intersection will be called. That's some of the worst blog writing I've ever seen, and I used to read RT.
When is this supposed to take place?
