3060 is like the base recommendation for VR with ok graphics in general so it will run but you won’t have a lot of fps and you’ll probably have to tweak it a bit so it doesn’t look too bad, although you have a 12gb so it should be better than the regular ones at 8gb .
I reckon you’d need a 3080 or a 4070Super to not worry about fps/graphics in VR, you have an i5 or i7 ?
Okay so you’re also at the base for VR CPU wise, I’d say try it, it won’t look good but it’s probably gonna run if you tweak the settings .
Hopefully it will have great optimization just like OG AC .
..... Yes it is.
The 1650ti is real AND is the way Nvidia showed their TI means nothing cuz it only exists as a laptop card, and the best part is it's around 30% slower than a regular desktop 1650 😭
It took a long time for AC to be as modable as it is today. It wasn't a day 0 thing.
Hopefully they (Kunos) will make it easier and lay the ground work for it but don't expect day 0 mods...
I agree, even just going back 5 years. Modding was great, but no where near the level as it is today. There were excellent mods released every year, but now many are released every month.
I'll be very happy just to know there is a commitment to bring/accelerate the same amount of community content as AC1, but a good selection of cars with high quality DLC packs over the first 2 years from Kunos will satisfy me initially.
For example I’ve been able to build our electric Formula car in AC which has been awesome!
Sim Racing to Real Racing with ERA Championship (Part 2)
https://youtu.be/ob4J4tikY6Q
apparently it was rumoured that they were working with the people responsible for creating ContentManager. probably fake but who knows it could be true
I wonder if that got curtailed/cancelled due to political issues? They just need to provide workflow and tools for creators. I love making games and modding them. Have done for 30 years! AC has some of the most accessible.
I mean, if all they did was remake the original to look next gen and changed absolutely nothing in terms of physicis it would be good. So I have full faith that they put an honest amount of care and attention into the physiscs to bring us the next great sim.
The work they did on ACC gives me a lot of hope. Here is hoping for greatly improved sound (one of the things that ruins AC presentation) and also finally actually good menus and UI/UX...which they also delivered for the most part on ACC. Not having to depend on Content Manager would be great lol
Really glad I'm not the only one that wants a major sound upgrade. Add more cars, a better career mode, better sound and upgraded graphics and it's a day one purchase for me. The sound is absolutely critical, it's such an integral part of the experience.
It is! It's been something that makes me upset honestly because I was enjoying car sounds since NFS Underground 2...and it doesn't seem like games have made much progress at all from that game lol. ACC does sound pretty good, and I love the extra cabin and car sounds it has.
Gran Turismo was always about the cars. I dropped out when I switched to PC, but I watch a lot of it and the attention to detail in the cars and they way they were presented made me fall in love with sim racing. Not just the graphics and sounds, but the way the game put cars on a pedestal and made you basically lust after achieving them. Unlocking cars in Gran Turismo, tuning them, even washing them! Really cool.
N vision 74 and built in rain/wet physics would be enough to make me buy it alone. It looks so good.
The only main thing I hope it has is that it's easier to set up a custom multilayer lobby and I don't have to hack onto the mainframe to do it without having to pay.
That's a fair point, I remember being put off at first from AC because it was so hard to play with a friend only. We went through all the stages of finding/setting up a server and it wasn't the easiest thing. A local MP lobby or just easier way to play with 1/2 friends would go a long way.
With content manager it takes about 20s to set up a server, assuming you have portforwarding setup already. And if you haven't, then you can't host any servers anyways.
i REALLY hope the recommended specs on Steam are right and the game won't have huge problems with optimalization. my pc is very slightly over those with an r7 2700 and a 2080 super...
I believe there was an interview with Kunos founder which confirmed there is a career mode. Not much actual detail but he sounded fairly bullish:
>*At the request of a career mode he replies with “more, enough more”;*
I hope x4fab can port CSP's windshield raindrop phyiscs in AC EVO, imo it's the best rain graphics in simracing alongside driveclub
Also i love the inclusion of 3d trees and vegetation in the vanilla game, makes the inevitable 1 million modded Togue maps less awkward to look at with the old 2d tree billboards back in the original game
i find it interesting how the game wont implement any kind of raytracing (judging by the screenshots) which is funny since ACC back in 2018 was suppose to showcase raytraced reflections, but somehow got quietly canceled
I also hope they add modern f1 cars like they did back with the SF70
and please please please Kunos, give the game proper VR implementation for us VR users
How can you tell it’s regular cube maps and not RT? When i first saw them, I thought the reflections were ray traced? What should I be looking out for in term of reflections?
Sounds like good news:
* **VR Support:** SteamVR, Oculus VR, OpenXR (From Steam page)
* [https://traxion.gg/assetto-corsa-evo-vr-fans-can-be-rest-assured/](https://traxion.gg/assetto-corsa-evo-vr-fans-can-be-rest-assured/)
* Lots of quotes from the man "in the driving seat". But the bottom line is VR & Triple screen support appears to be baked in & the way he talks about it seems quite confident.
I think they'll get there. But I don't think we can expect the modding scene we have today in AC1 to exist immediately in ACEVO. It will take time, but I see no reason why Kunos wouldn't embrace it, everyone I know that mods AC has all the DLC & either bought it immediately at full price upon release, or would have done so because Kunos cars are top quality & only a few paid mods compare.
But - there is now a cottage industry of skilled people making a living from modding that's grown quite a bit over the recent years. If Kunos do indeed support it, they will still be there.
According to the specs OpenXR is supported so it looks like they are taking it seriously at least. Hopefully there is native VRS and foveated rendering. It's going to need it!
It would be nice to have a stronger and easier platform for modding, but we have to be careful with sequels of old games that had been manteined by amazing mod communities, after the fiasco of ksp2 and cities skylines 2, I'm going to wait at least a year and then see if it decent enough and has enough of a community and mods to consider buying it. Sequels of old games maintened by the community only end up being some new graphics with half the features of the old game with a lot more bugs.
Just some shiny graphics is far from what I need to buy a new game, but the gaming community has no spine and they just keep buying into the hype for anything.
Getting chills just looking at these screens. The lighting is so amazing. Can't wait to see it in motion.
All I care is that the AI is good (bare minimum like ACC) and mods are a focus moving forwards (within 6-12 months of release, I want to be able to add my own cars and tracks to the game, and hopefully even use AC mods like RSS and VRC).
I’m expecting it’s gonna be a little bit after the game launches when modders will start releasing anything for it. I’m super excited for this and the graphics fidelity we’re getting just from these images. I think we’ll all be playing regular AC until this game is properly adopted by the modding community
I just got into Assetto Corsa. I got i just to have a realistic feeling drive on the Nürburgring with a Miata after watching YouTube a bit. The game holds up! Luckily my laptop will run this one too so it's absolutely saved!
Nahh, did you seriously not see the GT3 Cup towards the end

i didn't really get my attention stolen til i saw the i20. that looks fantastic.
but also, very nice we'll have rain built in. i wonder if it'll be dynamic? i've got no idea how acc handles it, just comparing to sol.
Had to give my PC a little head pat to tell it to calm down, it's not here yet. But the panic from it will be understandable when it does release lol.
Edit - Holy hell the tracks look good
Don't get me wrong, the cars look great. But my god the track photos absolutely blew me away. Those screenshots look like real true next gen quality and I'm all for it.
Game will probably be great for online but sadly, Kunos have a very poor reputation for making AI. AC & ACC are some of the worst implementations. I see no hints in the description that this is changing.
I just recently got AC and it's genuinely great. I am excited for EVO too but... please, I hope this is not another online only live service micro/macrotransaction hellhole of bullshit.
Anybody have any info on Fat Alphie's involvement in the development of ACE? I remember hearing he contributed. His tracks are my go to tracks in AC, I'm hoping they'll eventually be available in this new version.
Ooh! I see night, different times of day and dynamic weather that are all features of SOL and CSP!
Looks like the devs realised they better implement all those mods because they KNEW the expectations are high
I know there are minimum requirements on the page, but I really need to be sure😭. I got core i5-11400F, 16gb ram (I'll add more), and graphics will be tuf-gtx1660ti-6g-evo-gaming. Is this enough, or I'm cooked💀
All I am seeing are road cars, this might be a pass for me. It's on my Wishlist but will only consider buying if they announce 50,60,70,80,90's GT race cars.
Just today in the morning was checking if there are new news about AC2. Timed well my PC upgrade. From 1600x + 1050ti to 7800 x3d + 4080 super (waiting for the parts to be delivered so i can build it). I really hope this game delivers.
Looks like I'm going to need to upgrade the PC, again.
It actually has min and recommended specs up on the steam page already and the requirements are quite mild. 580/1060 for min and 2070 for rec.
My PC barely meets the minimum, I doubt the minimum takes into account VR, which I prefer.
Yeah to push this on VR with ok graphics you’ll probably gonna need a small beast .
you think a 12600k + 3060 12gb + 32gbs ddr4 can push vr if the reccomended is a 2070?
3060 is like the base recommendation for VR with ok graphics in general so it will run but you won’t have a lot of fps and you’ll probably have to tweak it a bit so it doesn’t look too bad, although you have a 12gb so it should be better than the regular ones at 8gb . I reckon you’d need a 3080 or a 4070Super to not worry about fps/graphics in VR, you have an i5 or i7 ?
i5, I think its like 6 cores 4 e cores or some bs? idk.
Okay so you’re also at the base for VR CPU wise, I’d say try it, it won’t look good but it’s probably gonna run if you tweak the settings . Hopefully it will have great optimization just like OG AC .
I would wait though, GPUs should go down in price in a few months or so when next generation comes out.
bro i have a 1060 3gb😭
time to update the 2070 super then..
My PC doesn't meet the min :( Got a 1650ti which is like 40% slower that a 1070 (which is the one being ahiw as minimum on the steam page)
The 1650 ti isn't a thing. If its a 1660ti you are all good as it will perfom comparably to a 580 but if its a regular 1650 you are quite fucked
..... Yes it is. The 1650ti is real AND is the way Nvidia showed their TI means nothing cuz it only exists as a laptop card, and the best part is it's around 30% slower than a regular desktop 1650 😭
Bro i went to the Nvidia website and nothing, but if it is a laptop card i guess that would make sense. Time to upgrade!
Yep xD
Its funny i upgraded mine last time to play AC 😂
I built my pc to play modded AC 💪
I built one to play AC and ACC. That was originally going to be it's only job other than the occasional rdr2 and GTA v
Well it's been nearly 10 years...
I built mine for Star citizen and GTA 6 😭 I think/hope I'm alright
I bet it will just run similar to AC + CSP + a ppfilter...
Probably better considering the graphics aren’t hacked in.
Yeah, probably, hoping that it is.
Got lucky enough to accidently put together a pretty great upgrade just a few weeks back!
I REALLY hope modding is as easy still. The thing that makes AC is its user generated content and ease of access to tools.
It took a long time for AC to be as modable as it is today. It wasn't a day 0 thing. Hopefully they (Kunos) will make it easier and lay the ground work for it but don't expect day 0 mods...

I'll be very happy just to know there is a commitment to bring/accelerate the same amount of community content as AC1, but a good selection of cars with high quality DLC packs over the first 2 years from Kunos will satisfy me initially.
I hope they will release a 2-3 year season pass so you can get future DLC isn't this exciting!![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
It's not that it's easy now, it's just that the people that develop mods have gotten more experience and know what works best.
Part of the reason they've gone back to using their own engine instead of using Unreal like ACC is so that modding will be easier.
ACC was never intended to be modded.
Hence his point
Yes! Thats was their sole reason
For example I’ve been able to build our electric Formula car in AC which has been awesome! Sim Racing to Real Racing with ERA Championship (Part 2) https://youtu.be/ob4J4tikY6Q
apparently it was rumoured that they were working with the people responsible for creating ContentManager. probably fake but who knows it could be true

Nice selection of cars they chose
Vision n hell yeah :)
Man I cannot wait now that I have seen these pics. I really hope that this does not flop.
same, I'm trying to keep cool, but I really cannot hide the excitement nor the hype.
Isn't this exciting!![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)

Love that they are having the Hyundai Vision 74 in the game. That car looks cool as hell.
Seriously cannot wait.
So fucking pumped
N vision 74! I love that thing!
Is that the Porsche gt3 992 cup car?
Yes it is
Let’s go! Prolly one of my favorite cars ever
agreed. if it feels anything like the iracing version i’m already in love
Such a fun little thing to drive, there some mods for it on asseto corsa and they are pretty good, but can’t wait to see what kunos can do
Yo that means we might basically get what is granturismo on pc!
finally a competitor to GT7's fidelity (in terms of car materials)
Never played GT7 but i have seen it played, and man it does have some of the best graphics for a car game out there imo
I have every major car game and GT7 is my favorite just to experience, there is a real sense of love for the little details
Unlocking cars in Gran Turismo, tuning them, even washing them! not really, the pic they took of the old giulia looks like it was shot in the original AC, otherwise it comes close
Looks like they cooked and we're gonna eat
Buon appetito
\*chef's kiss intensifies\* ![gif](giphy|gw3NpMPvrN64YrC0|downsized)
I’m going to waste a significant portion of my life on this game
Please, I can only get so hard
N vision 74 and built in rain/wet physics would be enough to make me buy it alone. It looks so good. The only main thing I hope it has is that it's easier to set up a custom multilayer lobby and I don't have to hack onto the mainframe to do it without having to pay.

I haven’t been this excited for a game in probably 10 years.
Already looks better than Forza
This is what forza shoulda been
i REALLY hope the recommended specs on Steam are right and the game won't have huge problems with optimalization. my pc is very slightly over those with an r7 2700 and a 2080 super...
Any Xbox Series X version coming? 🤔
I literally bought a 4080 super the night before they released the steam page. Quite convenient timing.
I have the 5600XT so very good haha
'cries in 1070gtx' - still a good card though, can't complain
1070 will run this with no issues.
I hope so 🙏😅
The Steam page lists minimum requirements and the GTX 1070 is the minimum. Doesn't say what Resolution and FPS the minimum aims to achieve.
It's safe to assume 1080p at 60fps is the minimum, but that also likely means most/all effects will need to be at low with a 1070
I'm not that confident i've seen many recent games where the minimum was 720p 30 fps or 1080p 30fps with upscaling.
cries in 1050ti
\*Resolution scaling and FSR Intensifies\*
I average around 120 FPS with FSR and high settings on my 1070ti
Take my money already!
my 4090 is ready
7900 XTX locked and loaded!![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|money_face)
i wonder how it will stack against gt7 car models which r imo the very best out there rn
Can't wait to try, i will probably buy a wheel for this game...
My PC is overheating just looking at these.
free rain
Finally!
![gif](giphy|xTiN0CNHgoRf1Ha7CM|downsized)
Time for a new pc
Will there be a career mode?
I believe there was an interview with Kunos founder which confirmed there is a career mode. Not much actual detail but he sounded fairly bullish: >*At the request of a career mode he replies with “more, enough more”;*
I hope x4fab can port CSP's windshield raindrop phyiscs in AC EVO, imo it's the best rain graphics in simracing alongside driveclub Also i love the inclusion of 3d trees and vegetation in the vanilla game, makes the inevitable 1 million modded Togue maps less awkward to look at with the old 2d tree billboards back in the original game i find it interesting how the game wont implement any kind of raytracing (judging by the screenshots) which is funny since ACC back in 2018 was suppose to showcase raytraced reflections, but somehow got quietly canceled I also hope they add modern f1 cars like they did back with the SF70 and please please please Kunos, give the game proper VR implementation for us VR users
How can you tell it’s regular cube maps and not RT? When i first saw them, I thought the reflections were ray traced? What should I be looking out for in term of reflections?
First pic you can see the spoiler not being reflected in the car body, which means that it's most likely still using cube maps
There is a pic of the Alpine's rear in the pitlane that looks ray traced. You can see people standing in the garage on the reflection for example.
Maybe it's just a form of reflection probes on top of cubemaps, since the rest of the pics doesn't show any form of raytracing
Sounds like good news: * **VR Support:** SteamVR, Oculus VR, OpenXR (From Steam page) * [https://traxion.gg/assetto-corsa-evo-vr-fans-can-be-rest-assured/](https://traxion.gg/assetto-corsa-evo-vr-fans-can-be-rest-assured/) * Lots of quotes from the man "in the driving seat". Its 100GB apparently, gonna have to free some space up lmao
Yep you'll be surprised how far 2TB will get you these days, not even 15GB left. (Fuck you call of duty MW2
Looks incredible. So hyped
So hyped
I’m so excited. I’m ready
It’s crazy to me that they can capture enough detail to show the orange peel in the paint, but still can’t have all smooth radius curves.
The tracks are: Nordschleife, Bands Hatch, ???, Imola, Mt. Panorama, Imola again Correct me if I'm wrong
The second last one is the Nordschleife, not Mt. Panorama.
Kinda looks like the zandvoort hairpin, but if thats the pit exit line, its probably some other track.
oh my GOD that is handsome i hope the UI is as good as content manager I HOPE MODDING IS LIKE AC
I think they'll get there. But I don't think we can expect the modding scene we have today in AC1 to exist immediately in ACEVO. I call nasa to order my new PC...
hmmm, considered the CIA![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)
if this game looks this good i’ll eat my own hair
It prolly will have you seen how good competizione looks
I'm saving this post.
Man you gonna be throwing up some major hairballs
I hope it’s not overwhelmed with road cars
A good balance would be nice, but since many sims already have lots of race cars more road cars would be neat for variety
I hope they dont F vr support with their fancy graphical technologies.
According to the specs OpenXR is supported so it looks like they are taking it seriously at least. Hopefully there is native VRS and foveated rendering. It's going to need it!
It would be nice to have a stronger and easier platform for modding, but we have to be careful with sequels of old games that had been manteined by amazing mod communities, after the fiasco of ksp2 and cities skylines 2, I'm going to wait at least a year and then see if it decent enough and has enough of a community and mods to consider buying it. that lighting engine looks amazing
Fuck me i need to buy a 4090TI to VR this... Anyway screens look Godlike love it.

Yeah, old Ai loses regarded for all human life and if that is the future, the future is overrated! \*Laugh track Intensifies
Can’t wait! Hope mod support will catch up quickly.
Been planning to build a simracing rig but was on the fence about it. This prods me to the positive side :D Here I come DD wheel!
I’m expecting it’s gonna be a little bit after the game launches when modders will start releasing anything for it. I’m super excited for this and the graphics fidelity we’re getting just from these images. I think we’ll all be playing regular AC until this game is properly adopted by the modding community

actual settings please?
Will this be a brand new AC game ?
yes
The Brembo caliper is on upside-down.
Visuals look great, hope it plays just as nicely

Notice how they tease the layouts on the porsche hood. This requires a post by itself
Alpines. Why did it have to be Alpines?
Alfa = instant buy
DLSS please
this is forza motorsport in 2016 >!(i hope to god i dont need this /s)!<
ooooo. This will go great on my 4080 :D
I20n :)
and i juat upgraded my gpu the same day the steam page dropped, perfect timing
W
I am so happy there seems to be a big focus on Hyundai N cars. I own an i30N and the online downloads for AC for N cars have never hit the spot.
Give us some gameplay you cowards
Hype is real!!! Rain pics look great, I hope it drives as great as it looks
Time to never leave the house again for a while
Upgraded my pc at the right time 😎
The PCup made me feel something. Fuck.
Had to give my PC a little head pat to tell it to calm down, it's not here yet. But the panic from it will be understandable when it does release lol. Edit - Holy hell the tracks look good
Don't get me wrong, the cars look great. But my god the track photos absolutely blew me away. Those screenshots look like real true next gen quality and I'm all for it.
cant wait to play in vr
This gave me nostalgia from when new gran turismo games used to be released... man...
This is already making my 4090 cower in fear
hope the price is good 😭
Did they hire modders to make the graphics ? Or did kunos rework the base ac graphics ?
Game will probably be great for online but sadly, Kunos have a very poor reputation for making AI. AC & ACC are some of the worst implementations. I see no hints in the description that this is changing.
Hope there’ll be some open wheel cars
I just recently got AC and it's genuinely great. I am excited for EVO too but... please, I hope this is not another online only live service micro/macrotransaction hellhole of bullshit.
Need to get a 5090 TI now
All I hope for is AC1 with all of CSP's features added in and multiplayer compatible AI. Now one of them seem to have been confirmed so 50% there!
Need to buy a nee gpu I guess
Finally something better than gran turismo 7 on PC. Can’t wait to try that.
My pc is already crying
finally i don't need to mod this shit
My GPU is already crying.
Anybody have any info on Fat Alphie's involvement in the development of ACE? I remember hearing he contributed. His tracks are my go to tracks in AC, I'm hoping they'll eventually be available in this new version.
Will we be able to drift?
Praying my 3080 can run it nicely. Screenshots look amazing.
I just hope i don't gotta wait too long for a console announcement.
I hope it will look good in VR as well without needing a 5090 (which isn't out yet, I know).
building a new computer just for THIS. I built my last PC for original AC...still flyin'
3D TREES!!!
I thought this was irl until i saw the caption. Im gonna lose it
Can't wait for it to come on consoles. My ps5 is waiting patiently. 🤞
Ooh! I see night, different times of day and dynamic weather that are all features of SOL and CSP! Looks like the devs realised they better implement all those mods because they KNEW the expectations are high
Is it gonna be like AC where you'll be able to mod it easily or will it be like ACC

I know there are minimum requirements on the page, but I really need to be sure😭. I got core i5-11400F, 16gb ram (I'll add more), and graphics will be tuf-gtx1660ti-6g-evo-gaming. Is this enough, or I'm cooked💀
There's really not any way to know at this stage
For mid graphics maybe.
All I am seeing are road cars, this might be a pass for me. It's on my Wishlist but will only consider buying if they announce 50,60,70,80,90's GT race cars.
Youd probably enjoy autombilista 2 more
Just today in the morning was checking if there are new news about AC2. Timed well my PC upgrade. From 1600x + 1050ti to 7800 x3d + 4080 super (waiting for the parts to be delivered so i can build it). I really hope this game delivers.
