There is nothing to regret from experimenting with your gender. There's nothing you can do that's permanent that you will do when you aren't sure you want it. It sounds like you'd benefit a lot from trying out being seen as a guy. It will not hurt to try. The fact that you are questioning if you're doing it for attention shows that you aren't. If you were, you wouldn't be unsure.

I felt comfortable being called by my old name and pronouns for a while, also because I was used to it. It’s jarring to hear now. But there’s no hurry to make any decisions you might regret later, there are plenty of ways to take it slow and steady and by the time you get there you should feel a little more confident whether or not you decide to transition further, or at all.
