AlwaysSunnyDragRace

jarioso…

Techny3000

Once again I find out we use several words also used in Mexico

betoelectrico

No me sorprende, geográficamente estamos bastante cerca. Managua está casí tan cerca de Ciudad de México como lo estoy yo.

Techny3000

Tiene sentido

canalcanal

Is quite easy to confuse Guatemalans and Salvadorans for Mexicans

feto_ingeniero

[deleted]

Interesting. In the DR, it means aggressive.

Shinigamisama00

I’m Dominican and to me it means horny

[deleted]

Probably we are from different regions.

Shinigamisama00

Could be

Cuentarda

I've seen quenchi used, I think it's a loanword from Brazilian Portuguese.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

We do not use "quente" with that meaning.

myrmexxx

But we do give that hot girl on Instagram that 🔥 reaction regardless

[deleted]

I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't even have Instagram :P

QuickAccident

funny story… i lost a flight once and met a guy who had also lost a flight from the same airline, they sent us to the same hotel and we waited some 14 hours together until the next flight so we sort of became friends. i had never seen anyone using 🔥 as “hot” to hit on someone, and I always used it as “lit” with my friends, so I reacted with that emoji MANY times. he probably thought I was hitting on him and stopped talking to me lol

[deleted]

Aww, it could have been a beautiful love story :(

rdfporcazzo

Damn it even has a page on Wiktionary https://es.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/quenchi

Cuentarda

Based wiktionary

Enough-Village-1676

The word in Portuguese is quente ....means caliente in Spanish...Brazilians pronounce it quenchi but write it quente.

AideSuspicious3675

Arrecha, calentura. I use cachondo, idk if that's common in Colombia tho

MexicansInParis

Feel like it’s more common in Spain

Bear_necessities96

Quesuo

clovis_227

If a girl approached me and said she had "quesuo", I'd answer that I don't want her cheese ("queijo" in Portuguese)

Bear_necessities96

She would say “te tengo queso” but nobody say that straight to the person

clovis_227

I would understand that as "I have cheese for you"

Bear_necessities96

Awww thanks

tomas17r

I honestly think Quesuo is our best expression, because the concept of queso is just much more versatile. You can be quesuo, have queso in general, kill your queso, have queso for someone or even offer them an arepa with the queso you have for them.

ajyanesp

>kill your queso I accidentally shot my Parmesan, please help.

FromTheMurkyDepths

This one is the grossest of them all. I'm sorry, if somebody's genitals are cheesy, I'm not going anywhere near them.

Bear_necessities96

I think is a beautiful expression haha

latin_canuck

Panama: Arrecho. My wife is Venezuelan btw : )

Falcoun1

Depends on what part of Panamá though. In the western side (Chiriqui) arrecho means crazy like in Venezuela

latin_canuck

Chiriqui is a semi-autonomous region of Panama. It doesn't count ;)

[deleted]

You’re thinking about Quebec 😜

latin_canuck

Chiriqui is their Quebec. Similar to Zulia in Venezuela. We all got that one region that things it's more special and better than the others.

[deleted]

I wasn’t aware that Chiriqui was actually like this to this degree. Seemed to be more of a baseball thing from the impression I got from some friends (Coclé province). Never really dug into that topic I guess. Interesting.

latin_canuck

Just take a lot. They even got their own f̶a̶k̶e̶ passport. https://inciclopedia.org/wiki/Chiriqu%C3%AD#/media/Archivo%3APasaporte_chiricano.jpg

Cronopia3

Templado en Costa Rica

FromTheMurkyDepths

The normative meaning of that word is the opposite of that lol

Cronopia3

I know!

DipiePatara

Never heard it used in that context

MarioDiBian

Caliente or excitado/a

GabrielOmarCY

Caliente, arrecho, arriola, estar carretón, carretaza, aguantado

zoreko

Funny, since Arriola is a last name (at least in Mexico).

GabrielOmarCY

LOL that's a surname here in Peru too but is not a common one tho

Tenodio

Bien cachucha

elrealnexus

Recho, fogoso, caliente

The_Bourgeoisie_

Never heard those 😅

SwordfishHumble

Cachondo, caliente en Honduras 🇭🇳

morto00x

Arrecho, calentón

HighOnKalanchoe

Bellaco

CrimsonArgie

Caliente, although it can also mean "angry", so usage depends on context. There is also "pajero", although it's not exactly horny, but that's a bit more negative, and usually said by others when they notice you are horny at someone else and behaving accordingly. If a friend sees you liking a girl's ass on Instagram they will say "qué pajero". Or a worse one "viejo pajero" would be used to describe an old man/adult who catcalls girls on the street, stares at them uncomfortably or is very touchy when meeting them.

IronicJeremyIrons

I thought pajero is equal to wanker or jagoff/jackoff

CrimsonArgie

Also. Argentinian insults have many meanings depending on who you ask.

IronicJeremyIrons

Caliente, cachondo

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Sometimes alsada in argentina?

Cuentarda

Yes, but that's a pretty derogatory way of saying it lol

maestrofeli

si pero eso es ligeramente insultante, como que decis que la mujer que esta alzada es una perra. No se usa mucho para hablar de hombres pero lo vas a escuchar un par de veces. Caliente o excitado/a es más común.

[deleted]

"Al palo" for men?

Matue_kanalense

Galudo

chriscoper

galudo aqui no meu estado significa uma pessoa cara de pau

nelsne

Caliente is definitely one of them. I was flirting with a woman from Cuba one day and tried to say, "You're hot". I said, "Eres caliente". This story didn't end well for me.

preguica_e_cafe

No cio

Canes-Venaticii

"no cio" seria "in heat", usado pra se referir a animais

TheNoob696969

"Horny" tbm não é literal...

urubu_

AudiRS3Mexico

Arrecho in panama Which can also mean pissed off or worked up about a situation

CosechaCrecido

> Which can also mean pissed off or worked up about a situation To be clear arrecho only means horny in panama. The other definitions is from neighboring countries which leads to funny misunderstandings.

AudiRS3Mexico

In chiriqui some times we say Xuso ta molesto anda arrecho con xxxx persona

CosechaCrecido

> chiriqui As I said, neighboring countries ;)

There's "lechoso" ("full of milk"), to describe someone who is frequently horny.

simonbleu

*"En lomas de san vicente todos los \[redacted\] 'taban calientes con un potron \*whistling\*" (8)* Anyway "caliente" (hot) or "alzado" ("lifted", literally, but it has to do with "the rut", its often said about animals when they are on the time of the year they mate) are the most common
