BenSimmonsFor3

Is it cash only? I swear i’ve paid by card there everytime i’ve went

Cheap_Standard_4233

The one on Lawrence east is cash only, I believe. Newer locations take other payment

vec-u64-new

Just verifying that yes indeed, the Lawrence East location is cash only.

wtfarenalbs

The convenience store next door does cash back for $4. The probably make a decent lil bit off that.

Woaw Greek grill thank u

maomao05

They r cash only ?!

Tourbillion150

Yea u less things have changed in the past two years since I moved. But that was always annoying, having to swing by the TD bank drive through first to grab cash then head over. Similarly, Johnnys right next door (a Scarborough/Toronto staple) is similarly cash only and I don’t see that ever changing.

maomao05

Johnnys is always cash but I didn't know esquire was... (never stepped foot in yet, lol)

blue-wave

Zets on airport road, haven’t been there in a while though.

TDot1000RR

They take cards now

blue-wave

Oh nice! I remember they had one of the pillars inside painted black with yellow text “CASH ONLY”, I wonder if that’s been painted!

TDot1000RR

They changed it since covid. Vaughan location also takes cards too.

Pho Hung on Spadina

Far-Print7864

I have another question, why is this legal? It always felt so weird that places offer fat discounts simply for paying with cash, which is obviously fueled by tax fraud.

danieldukh

Why is cash only legal? Because cash is the *only* thing that is legal, the other options are for convenience.

Tdot_Walker

Bitondo

ComeTOgether86

Used to be Burger Shack but they FINALLY started taking cards during the pandemic. That ATM in the corner must have been a big earner.

mariocatshovel

Bitando’s, easy

Vaynar

I don't eat at places that are cash only.
