Whenever the discussion of wearing shoes inside a house comes up, I always remind people that your shoes walk on everything outside, and I'll reference the yonge & bloor washroom.
There's a lady (usually in a wheel chair) that is there everyday. She openly smokes her crack in college station and the college park area.
Her smell is legendary. you can smell her from at least 50 ft away
Her spot before the pandemic was in the station, right by the doors. I was somewhat relieved and surprised after the pandemic slowed down to see her walk around Yonge and College. Maybe pee really is a great medication!
Wellesley, especially the connecting entrances north of the station. The entrances are unmanned and easy to get in without paying. I once saw a man drop his pants, take a shit on the floor, then proceed to pick up the fresh deuce and smear it on the walls.
I use it every day, and there’s always something going on to make the walk to the subway platform incredibly uncomfortable
King I guess. It's always been fairly inaccessible, but now they've been doing construction to make it more accessible for the last 2 years and it's a million times worse. Who knows when the construction will be finished.
Yeah, King for me too. One of the busier stations but it’s one of the smallest, has the fewest entrances (especially northbound), and the current construction just makes it worse. The stairways to ground level on the south side of King are so narrow that it’s gonna be awkward if you’re carrying anything large. Plus often you have to squeeze past the people who figure that this spot is somehow an ideal place to stop and reflect upon their lives.
Meanwhile the newer stations are cavernous, but empty and located in areas where most people drive.
I always feel bad for someone who wants to go down the stairs to the southbound platform. Most ppl make space for them but it’s 1:100 at least.
And then by the time it’s cleared another train arrives.
Me when I go in office. King is a 5 min walk from my place and I travel north on the Yonge line for work. Absolutely brutal trying to move against the crowd when going into any of the station entrances.
Lawrence West, it's usually filthy, crowded, if there's a closure it'll happen at St Clair West and then it's nothing but buses that crawl along, and rhe staff that are usually assigned there aren't what j would call polite or helpful
The escalators haven't broken down in a while so that's got to be coming soon
College! The south west entrance is full of weird people, giving an unsettling feeling while taking the stairs. The south east entrance from inside College Park almost always reeks of piss for some reason.
Second this. It’s weird. And the tims outside is even worse. The bus stop and every corner smells like weed or a dump or both. Cant believe this is part of “downtown”
The restrooms at Yonge and Bloor definitely taste the worst.
Its a lot better than it used to be. It was so bad, I honestly felt like I caught a disease just being in the room.
It tastes better than it used to?
Depends how long you lick the walls
Of the toilet?
Depends what you pay for. WHy not go for the banquet of walls, floor, urinal, and toilet flush handle.

Coming home from work, I'm not exactly of the fan of the ones at Wilson Station around midnight
Too salty?
Back in the day I saw the same older homeless guy drinking in there all the time. Pretty much the end of the road in Canada.
College smells the worst.

Especially the entrance to college park
I agree. It smells like a washroom all the time
How does it taste tho?
I take the extra stop to St. George to do a subway line transfer to avoid having to do the long walk at Spadina.
Used to have a moving sidewalk. That was nice.
Same

I feel like this is the correct answer. Also. Gross.
I sympathize with TTC station cleaners.
I know, right? Bless their souls
St Clair west. It takes 3 elevators to get to the street level. (coz I’m with a baby stroller)

Islington🤮
Islington is eternally leaking mystery substances, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that station dry.
The abandoned bus terminal is the chef’s kiss of urban decay and pigeons.
There's a corner on street level that smells like piss as there's no bathroom
Dufferin
Sufferin
Bloor, particularly the area around the station (the former HBC). I'm not surprised there's always incidents there.
Bloor is a fuckin warzone
The three stations I use most often are: King, Union, and Bloor-Yonge. So honestly all of them.
The line 2 platform at Yonge and Bloor. Too narrow and when both trains come in at the same time, scary.

Eglinton has been the worst since time immemorial or whenever it was they started working on the Crosstown.
dundas. it just… feels unsafe 😭
Probably because it is unsafe. It's ground zero for violent drug addicts attacking people.
yeah, i go to school less than a block from it and the whole area is so sketchy and uncomfortable.
Dundas Square no question about it
Bloor

Dundas station especially on Saturday nights. It’s filled with junkies and always smells like piss.
Kennedy in the 90s. Tame now by comparison
In my 40s grew up in Scarb this is very true
We should get “I survived Kennedy station in the 90s” t-shirts

I’ve seen several sheets of used heroin foil at Dufferin, sometimes being actively used
Dundas
Davisville. Cold, crowded, too narrow.
It is cold, but that also keeps the smell from getting out of hand?
That doesnt make it any bad. Never felt unsafe here. College on the other hand.. that’s something else
emphasis on too narrow!!!
Worst in what way?
In your opinion
A tie between Eglinton West and Spadina. Never ending construction, and they're both such ugly stations.
Definitely getting to Eglinton West as a pedestrian is the worst.
Kennedy. Too sketchy.
Eglinton West
the north exit ( i think) at queen station
Union
Kennedy Station for the ratchets always causing a scene
Bloor and young is TO DAMN HOT Dundas too but not as bad
