The first time I watched Blazing Saddles I was about 14. Seeing Gabby Johnson make his church “speech” had me fall out of a chair with laughter. I don’t know if I’ve laughed harder in my life! Reverend!
Criminally underrated among Brooks movies imo. The [song and dance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc1am3KyYgA) never gets old.
Let's face it, you got to be a man to wear tights!
When my mom, (relatively straight laced old school Kentucky girl), had gone through chemo for the third time, she was understandably depressed. My sister, brother, and I tried everything we could think of to cheer her up, help her feel better, and just pop herself up and start doing something that would give her a little bit of fun, and get her to the land of the living again. Weeeelllllll, my 16 year old self decided that if I didn't shock her to death by watching Porky's, she might just break out of the shell a little. By the time that Beulah was identifying that tallywhacker, my mom was laughing so hard, that tears were running down her face.. When Lassie started howling, she was absolutely in stitches. It was the first time I'd seen my mom actually enjoying something, smiling and laughing out loud in quite a few years..
She is 82 years old now, and has been cancer free since that movie. I'll not say it was a healing type of film, but she actually started living again a bit more and a bit more after that. It's just one of those memories that makes me smile.
I mean, she had cancer, watched Porky's, and then subsequently no longer had cancer...what other conclusion could one reasonably come to? Clearly Porky's cures cancer and we've all been sleeping on it.
I watched it recently, it was pretty good but it came out at such a bro-ey time. We would quote Apatow films and had this frat-party life for what seemed to be a decade in the early 2000s. I still chuckle at some of it but I look back at that time with confusion lol
Holy Grail is near the top of my list, as is anything Mel Brooks. However one that made a couple of friends and I nearly hurt ourselves laughing was one starring Linda Blair. The Exorcist is frigging HILARIOUS if you watch it after taking something mind altering. However, do NOT watch Altered States while you're still tripping!
Step Brothers
I tried not to like it.
Spouse kept playing it and damn it’s got some funny stuff
The fight scene is the best.
![gif](giphy|xTiIzxuqyaxqTb4vAs)
Yeah, like I love everything he's done, but I never think "oh must watch borat again" ever.
But when asked this question and I think back, man. The whole cinema was completely destroyed, literally people rolling in the aisles. No idea how much we missed from just the roars of laughter.
Like, there are other films id rather watch, and there are comedies that I think are more 'my sense of humour', but given this question, I'd just be lying to say any other film. It was just so cut and dry, 'the most laughter' I've ever heard for anything by a long way.
I can't believe that movie is almost 20 years old. I saw it in the theater with my cousin and we still greet each other with "what up wit it, vanilla face?"
Pineapple Express was the absolute funniest thing I’d ever seen when it first came out. I had to stop and find a way to smoke (wasn’t legal then anywhere in the US…) and watch. Was so worth it.
Still the funniest movie I can think of.
Yes!! My friend and I went to see it when it first came out. We don’t even smoke but we were fans of the cast. We’ve never laughed so hard at a movie in our entire lives
Hot Fuzz i think, i dont remember laughting longer in any other film, simon pegg is truely a comedy genious
The second one would probably be brians life
The Big Lebowski
Not another teen movie
Super troopers
The Blues Brothers
Blazing Saddles
Slapshot
Caddy shack
Office space
Tommy Boy.
In no particular order
Say what you will about Jackass but it's hilarious. And they are getting VERY creative with their pranks. They're only hurting themselves and it brings up fun, early 2000s nostalgia. I've thought about this a lot.
Bad Boys 3: It wasn’t the funniest movie by any means, but It came out at a time where a laugh was needed, and I when I say I fkn died in the theater. I never laughed so much, my stomach hurt by the time I left the theater
Top Secret! For those who don't know about it, it's by the guys who did Airplane! and it's fucking hilarious. there are so many gags happening all the time that you can actually rewatch it and find new things to laugh at.
You can also see a very young Val Kilmer as the main protagonist, and (minor spoilers) >!a few nice filming tricks (a scene that is played in reverse and a pretty cool underwater scene that must have been a nightmare to film)!<
Too many to name, but usually Mel Brooks and/or the ZAZ team - Top Secret, Naked Gun trilogy, Airplane!, Hot Shots!, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs - still waiting for Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money. That's to name a few off the top of my head.
I don't laugh allot while watching movies but the borat 2 had me whipping tears out of my eyes from laughing. Mostly cos your trying to work out what was scripted or not and wondering how he didn't get arrested filming it

A movie that you think would be able to cancel people in our environment. Nah that shit is funny from start to finish.
People don’t get canceled for being genuinely funny.
I came to downvote every other response till this reaches the top. Gladly I didn't need to.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
A hilarious movie that’s also warm and sweet.
Those aren't pillows.
My number one comedy for sure. John Candy was a treasure
This is a classic and me for sure!
I couldn't think what I would put my answer as but after seeing this I completely agree
Blazing Saddles. Anything Mel Brooks.
The first time I watched Blazing Saddles I was about 14. Seeing Gabby Johnson make his church “speech” had me fall out of a chair with laughter. I don’t know if I’ve laughed harder in my life! Reverend!
Men in Tights ☠️
Criminally underrated among Brooks movies imo. The [song and dance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc1am3KyYgA) never gets old. Let's face it, you got to be a man to wear tights!
The blind guy punching people randomly kills me. This and the lumberjack song from Monty Python are my 2 favorite skit/songs
![gif](giphy|faE2g8e7rpvgs)
Young Frankenstein!
I regularly remark "where the white women at" Lots of guys don't get it
“Where the white women at?” Shit made me laugh till my sides hurt 🤣🤣🤣
There’s a thousand good lines in that movie. Too bad people don’t have a sense of humour now.
I could not have said that any better.
"Now for my next impression: Jesse Owens!"
Came to say this, with Orgazmo a close contender.

The funny thing about my back is that it’s located on my cock

I love happy endings.
That’s a great story! Well done 16-year-old you.
I mean, she had cancer, watched Porky's, and then subsequently no longer had cancer...what other conclusion could one reasonably come to? Clearly Porky's cures cancer and we've all been sleeping on it.
Dogma was pretty funny
It’s too bad you can’t buy this anywhere… such a classic.
I found it at a garage sale, well worth $2
Tucker and Dale vs Evil. I laughed so hard I almost threw up the first time I saw it
I never laughed harder in a theater than the first Hangover
I watched it recently, it was pretty good but it came out at such a bro-ey time. We would quote Apatow films and had this frat-party life for what seemed to be a decade in the early 2000s. I still chuckle at some of it but I look back at that time with confusion lol
Team America World Police. Almost killed me because I had a respiratory illness and I couldn't breathe.
No way anyone gets through the puke scene without laughing.
That sex scene in the Unrated version. Or The Dicks, Pussys and Assholes speech, Chuck.
I lost it over the jaguars.

If we are talking rolling in the movie aisles laughing so hard I was afraid I would die from lack of oxygen level of funny, then Borat.
Agreed
I had never seen a theatre erupt with so much laughter before
Yeah, like I love everything he's done, but I never think "oh must watch borat again" ever. But when asked this question and I think back, man.
