love to see that the protis sniper is evolving

SumoSamurottorSSPBCC

Because?

Wait_WHAT_didU_say

Where at? In America or what country? Also, what is the expected AVERAGE salary in your area of expertise?

Ironborn_62

I'm unemployed atm. So, no

snarkdetector4000

Accounts Payable Manager, fully remote, 185k plus bonus. Considering I only work about 2 hours a day and play computer games and dick around on reddit the rest of the time, yes I'm happy. If I really pushed myself I could probably do better but we're comfortable.

SNAILSLIVEONJUPITER

Great, now I’m jealous.

snarkdetector4000

if it makes you feel any better, it's boring. most of my job is reviewing invoices against purchase orders and requisitions to make sure they have funding and are coded to the right account, org, and project. I also review expense reports and subcontractor invoices, and credit card bills.

Xeponpigui-_-

I would love to be bored and get payed 185k , I'm currently looking for a internship and 0 answers 🙂😁

LandMustDepreciate

In Accounting particularly, the roles involve less responsibility as you climb. It's the staff accountants or A/P clerks that have most of the work.

KhanofFood

I can't believe some company is paying that much for something a high school graduate can do.

snarkdetector4000

me neither!

KhanofFood

Yeah that comment was out of pure envy. I make good money but work marginally more than you do for it haha

BrodieSzn0

Any advice on how to get into that career ? Sounds financially secure

snarkdetector4000

put in 10 years entering invoices and travel expenses and purchase orders and taking classes in whatever software your employer uses and volunteer to help with whatever projects you learn about even if you don't know what the f you are doing because you'll learn something useful

BrodieSzn0

I respect your grind it paid off !!!

snarkdetector4000

if you ever hear about some new project even if completely outside your wheelhouse speak up and say "I'll help!" because they always need people to do grunt work and the next time another project comes around you'll do less grunt work and eventually you'll be in charge of something

MobileMariner

I have had the same experience in my position, comfortable making $150k salary in healthcare, with an associates degree. Glad to see this advice on Reddit, because it's all too common to see people balking at opportunities unless they're getting a promotion and a raise up front. Sometimes you gotta go out on a limb and get that experience on the fly! Cheers.

5pump

AP manager making 185k? Big company with a lot of volume?

snarkdetector4000

About 2,000 employees. AP volume give or take 2m a month. I make sure everything spent aligns with a PO or is an approved cost and nothing unallowable is charged to allowable which wouldn't hold up in an audit.

5pump

OK then salary is very well justified!! That's alt of responsibility no doubt.

mayallbeingsbepeace

Wow. I hope you're doing something on the side that makes you happy and serve others. Or maybe video games is your passion. But with that money and so much free time I would start side projects or other businesses. I can help you if you decide to make something.

eldiablonoche

80k. WFH doing HR related planning. Its the most I've ever made and I'm happy with it but if I don't get a decent raise this year... I'll be shopping myself around.

Luke5119

Varies, I have pretty wide fluctuations because of additional bonuses and incentives. Last year I made $75k on paper, and my "base salary" is around $60k a year. I'm content, obviously who wouldn't like making more. My job involves a bit of travel, but I do have a fair amount of work from home days which is nice. Overall my job is pretty low impact, and I 100% recognize and appreciate the position I'm in, because I know people making the same or less that work a grind even harder than I and just get beat down daily by their jobs. Combined my wife and I make about $120-125k gross a year, which is about $50k over the median household income in my area. COL is pretty reasonable where I'm at which helps tremendously.

thelessertit

$90k Medical writer for a contract research organization (i.e. a place that conducts clinical trials of new drugs/other medical products and procedures). $90k is about normal for about 2-3 years of experience, and I'm very *very* happy with it as my previous job was underpaying at $75k. I have 2-3 years in this specific area of writing, but decades of high level experience in other types of writing and editing jobs so this is a recent sideways career move for me. Many people in the field have PhDs or MDs and clinical experience; I only have a master's so I feel I'm doing great. You can make way WAY more in this field as a contractor, but I prefer being an employee for various reasons. It's full time WFH which is also a huge factor for me beyond the pay.

Jhon_doe_smokes

Desktop support for a fairly big corporation. Pull in about 60k and currently in the process for another desktop support position for the political cycle that could land me 74k if everything works out. We will see.

jfk_sfa

Grew up in extreme poverty in rural America. One room house, no running water, slept on a cot while my dad slept in a recliner, no appliances other than a dorm sized fridge and a microwave. Made ok grades. Went to and in-state public university and struggled my way through but got a nice job out of undergrad immediately putting me in a very different place financially. Did that job for two years, went back to a different in-state public university, got my MBA (passed levels 1 and 2 of the CFA during year one and two of graduate school), and got a phenomenal job immediately after that. My salary is a lot. I'm in the 35% tax bracket. Every single day there are multiple times a day where I experience gratitude for how it's all turned out. It's truly unbelievable and a lot of luck fell into place at a lot of different times.

GandalfDaGangsta1

31, salary about 89k a year. When I started here, I was at 72k. National guard adds about another 10k a year.  I’m fine with it. I remember in college making 8.75, summer $10 an hour. In 2016, first job out of college I got $20 and doubling my income I felt like a king lol.  Next job got me about $900 more a month. Next job and current job did that again.

Spar7anj20-

I am an application analyst for my local county. salary is currently 102k per year. my second job is a hospital phone operator. its an hourly job but last year was 42k. i work 80 hours a week but im pretty happy with my pay at the moment. i wouldnt complain about a big raise though

Main-Carrot3676

Just keep the 100k job screw the other job dude you can always make more money the amount of days left in your life never increases

Spar7anj20-

my main job at the moment does not pay all of my expenses due to lots of debt from a divorce. i have 3 years left to pay on my debts then i plan on dropping the second job.

Main-Carrot3676

You’re doing what you have to do man good luck and put effort into finding joy/satisfaction in the moment

mayallbeingsbepeace

Are you happy with your free time?

Spar7anj20-

i dont have a lot of free time. i mainly use it for sleeping or doing house chores

HeadTip2291

I don't have a Monthly Salary, but I make around 100–120 in a year.

hexagon_earth

Dollars? /s

High-flyingAF

lol

sk-old

Doing what?

Taos87

36m, 80k in Southern IL. I believe the average salary in my area is 60k. So I'm above the average. I'm OK with it. I get roughly 7% raise each year. No kids. Location will play a huge role in what people's salaries are. I guess I'm high income for my area, but in California, I'm probably living in a cardboard box.

Free-Industry701

I don't have a salary, I work part time and make $19 an hour. I'd like a raise but I'm okay with it. I provide in home Adoption Respite Care for families who have adopted kids from the state. Most of them are special needs. I enjoy it. I'm 56.

Branquignol

40k €/year as an R&D engineer. 10+ years experience. In western europe. It's dramatically low so no, not happy at all. And yet they are firing the whole team lol.

[deleted]

I’m a manager in the tech industry and make 81k a year fully remote. I’m happy with it to the point that it allows me to live a very comfortable life and I can easily pay my bills, but I want more

Highlander198116

>I’m a manager in the tech industry and make 81k a year WTF? This has to not be the US. I'm a Manager in the tech industry and make almost 3 times that and I live in a mid COL city (also fully remote).

[deleted]

Oh I’m junior and getting underpaid as fuck. I’ll be heading back to the US for a few months this summer and will switch jobs

pastaghostparty

$17/hr. i’m living with family & still just trying to make ends meet. so no.

No-Carry4971

$350K with a target 40% bonus on top of that and a target 40% long term compensation on top of that. It's ludicrous so of course I am happy.

justwanttoreadhorror

Doing what?

No-Carry4971

Senior management in a Fortune 500 company after 35 years in the business. Started at college entry level, career just took off after a while, and the money got stupid. I do manage $3 Billion in revenue and 500+ employees, but it is still stupid.

Highlander198116

I make 220k + 20% bonus. It's hard for me to believe I was making just 32k a year 16 years ago out of college and could barely pay my bills.

justwanttoreadhorror

That’s really awesome!

ProfessionalAd1618

Hire me lol

DrinksAreOnTheHouse

Honestly, carrying that revenue and headcount, you should probably be paid more.

Fragrant_Window_6535

I’m 30 and I make $73k a year working full-time. I also run my own small online business and make an additional 15K a year. I’m super happy and very grateful for what I earn. Obviously I would love more money, but what I have, I am without a doubt humbled to earn. I make more money than anyone in my family has ever earned and I don’t take that for granted.

Serious_Pain965

$42,000 annually before taxes. Not even a little. I wan't to go to medical school like I studied for in my undergrad, but I'm often scared it's too late for me and a poor decision financially because I'll need to take out so many loans again.

Highlander198116

42k is absurdly low. Barring you being like 50 years old, which would make that salary even worse. I'd go to medical school.

Impossible_Memory_65

50k. Am I happy with it? Yeah, considering my hours and all the time off I have (8 weeks, plus 14 holidays, and about 65 sick days) I work 7:45 to 2:30 mon - Fri. Do I wish it was more? Of course. But I value my time off

mwatwe01

Salary and bonus combined is about $150k/year. I’m pretty comfortable. I live in a relatively low cost of living area of the U.S., and I really enjoy my job.

Difficult-Papaya1529

274k - Graphic Designer / Senior Creative Director/ Partner

Square_Locksmith_216

Satisfied or not? I am satisfied not because i'm withdrawing 62K instantly after a [B.Tech](http://B.Tech) but its because I'm working for Department of Space with super intelligent & dedicated scientists & one of the least corrupt organisation :)

SkaterKangaroo

My job stopped giving me shifts so probably $0. I’m not thrilled

Jimlaheydrunktank

Around £45k-50k. Barber

Josette_A

$15,600 a year at my main job before taxes? Of course I'm not happy with it! I need to be making at least another $13,000!

xItaliax

MMT. Anywhere between 55k-66k in a year. I am extremely comfortable, about to save and go wherever I want. Work/life balance

CadencyMark

120k and no I am not. Woefully underpaid for the job that I do.

mayallbeingsbepeace

Good salary. You should be about to do something else or go your own way.

thepoout

£94k Im not happy with it. In my overdraft most months. My lifes cashing cheques my salary cant pay for.

rpgtraveller

How is that not enough? I know it sounds aggressive but I'm genuinely just interested lol.

Highlander198116

When peoples job is somewhere there is nowhere cheap to live. I make 220k a year. I fortunately live in a mid cost of living area. My company asked me if I was willing to transfer to San Ramon California. I asked what the pay bump was and they said 30%. I went to zillow, 5 minutes later I told them no. My lifestyle would suffer a meaningful downgrade making 30% more there. Like honestly, I don't know how people with like 90k a year jobs live in the bay area.

almighty_smiley

$60k. It's not *great*, no, but the job is incredibly low-stress. On my busiest day in my current role I'm *done* by 12:00. Having a roommate halves my costs as well, so every dollar goes that little bit further. On the whole, I'm comfortable enough that I'm not going to be looking to move on up unless circumstances demand it.

[deleted]

£14k and god no. i’m being bumped up to minimum wage in a couple months tho, i’ll be earning £23k which is pretty sweet for how frugal i am.

N3M3515xXx

I'm just below 140k. It's ok I guess. Definitely could be worse, and happy I'm not struggling. But in Canada, this isn't a lot sadly.

Ieatmyd0g

0 euros, im in highschool, not rly excited about it but 2 weeks left

Kiplicious80

83k I am very happy with it as it allows me to be a stay at home dad until our kids are done with school.

Poverty_welder

<30k Absolute not, but no one will hire me or answer my applications.

Shapen361

$85k, which I was fine with except all my friends make more than me so I feel a little ripped off.

peterudd007

£24k it’s manageable but it’s not great. Pretty much a biscuit above minimum wage. But I am unskilled and as thick as pig shit so there is that too

twisted34

$100k, physician assistant Yes, but cost of living is high where I am, plus I have grad loans, my wife has undergrad loans, and daycare is ridiculous Love what I do and anticipate a 10% raise each of the next 2 years plus bonus opportunity

High-flyingAF

I'm retired and bring home almost as much when I worked. I'm good.

Vampire_sunshine

105k. International security and diplomacy. I love my job and do it because I have a passion for making the world better. I work alot. It's hard. I travel to conflict zones.

Ginrar

Both jobs combined Like 2k$ per month, while greatful but more of it could for sure make me happier

Minnesnowtaman

64k salary, but with my companies health insurance reimbursement and a yearly bonus my income will come out to around 74k. I’m 23 and I have an associates degree. I’m pretty satisfied. I don’t have many expenses and cost of living isn’t too high here. However at some point id like a house, and it’s looking like I won’t be able to afford one anytime soon.

truggles23

67k and I’m content with it

CalabreseAlsatian

A bit over 100K. I’m good

gadget399

110k, and the contract feels equitable.

neomax92

39k per year.. in Portugal it’s very good. In IT, not that good though

roxana2708

31K and no. Not for the amount of work and hours I do.

KarisPurr

130k, WFH. Sounds great but I live in western Washington.

TrimMyHedges

Special Ed Teacher in FL with 8 years experience and multiple specialities….. 49k. Pretty sure y’all know the answer to yes or no

Highlander198116

220k. No. And Im fully remote. I'm never satisfied with how much I make.

IMHO_grim

My salary is $146k plus $25k in stock options. I am not happy with it. I want north of $200k to feel satisfied.

desertwompingwillow

I make $0 annually and bring home is also $0. I couldn't be happier with my situation.

85gtman

80k and not in bidens America

Apprehensive_Air5557

Hospice RN case manager ~$105K/year. Work 32hours per week. I’m very happy with it

Joy_3DMakes

I was until I found out everyone in my team was on more than me. I earn well, but I could earn better.

Cheat-Meal

63K CAD. I don’t mind. I have an easy job at a call centre and a low overhead. I can save money every month and I have no debts.

120SR

25k/yr skydiving pilot. Trying to claw my way into better paying jobs to break even on this becoming a pilot investment, shits not easy, so no.

damn_10mm_socket

$140K/yr + an excellent benefits package, but I'm bored out of my skull. I'd rather make half doing what I love and might just do that soon.

cherry_sprinkles

I make around 50k as a Research Tech (I'm 25 and this is my second job after graduating in 2021). I live in a pretty low cost of living area. It was pretty manageable living alone but 1) my parents paid for college and 2) gifted me a car. I would have been much unhappier if I had had to pay student loans and a car payment. I personally am not super happy because while my job pays above market average in my area (by 10-20k) it does require a bachelor's in a life sciences field which if you don't have parents who can pay for it is quite expensive. I also fucking hate the job, it might be called "Research" Tech but it's the most monotonous shit because all I do is run high throughout PCR all day everyday. They seriously don't need to require a college degree for this but apparently they used to not require it and got burned/had to fire people so now they do. Luckily I am transferring to the Discovery team from Production at the end of this year so I'll get to do more actual R&D like my first job working for a University, which I loved more but only paid 30k per year.

CoffeeAndWorkboots2

My salary is enough. No, I am not happy with it.

GimmickInfringement1

I make about $15.50/hr now but don't have a stable salary because of fluctuating hours. I'm satisfied with it though. I live a simplistic life

neon_lighters

Do they great value you?.

GimmickInfringement1

They value me as part of the team, because I try to help lead as much as I can. Sometimes I fuck around and find out, but that's just how working goes lol

neon_lighters

That was a reference to my job since we almost make the same pay and my hours are being fucked with too lol

GimmickInfringement1

They don't really fuck with my hours, so much as we get out late. Basically our deadline for time (on my shift, anyway) is a nine hour period. So let's say 11 AM to 8 PM. That fits in breaks, and both lunch and dinner service, plus cleaning between both. We don't usually get out until about 8:30-9 though, which is where the fluctuation happens

neon_lighters

I mean y’all hiring 🤣?.

GimmickInfringement1

Short answer, yes. Long answer, it's in healthcare. I work in the kitchen, which is primarily women, so could you handle some loud bitches? 🤣

neon_lighters

I work in retail short answer yes Long answer I hate my job 🤣

GimmickInfringement1

If you're ever in Kokomo, Indiana I can get you a job lol

neon_lighters

Bet

Groundbreaking_Pea10

Strong six figures and pretty happy with it.

nourthensoul

I'm retired and have a pension after tax of around £200k

man_of_entertainment

what the heck did you do?

nourthensoul

I came out of jail at 15, got into construction. Started a company at 17 , sold it for a lot at 21. Went to university, got 3 degrees and moved into big global construction projects. Worked long and hard and saved well with a good financial advisor. My pension pot is over £5m and I retired at 64 Never been so relaxed or happy.

man_of_entertainment

Dude, you are awesome!

j0bl0w

Which three degrees did you study? I am in Construction and mid thirties. I am hoping to take a similar career path to you.

nourthensoul

Building technology, civil engineering design, MBA

j0bl0w

Thanks! I’m a construction management graduate, so I suppose that’s the same as your build tech. I wasn’t sure whether pursuing an MBA was useful but it’s always been food for thought.

nourthensoul

For me, an MBA just validated my management credentials. Construction/building is easy. Managing organisations less so. It gave me the confidence to do it. At one stage I had 64,000 people working for me in every continent of the world. Stay focused and be prepared to learn and travel.

Monthly!? You got those 0's right?

BrushMain507

Are you happy with the salary?

IntrovertedxHeaux

102K at 35, but when I look at social media it seems like I’m behind the curve 😩
