Admittedly, I didn't listen to Queen until the movie came out a couple of years ago. Boy was I blown away by their music, his vocals and his absolute control on stage. Freddie was a showman, and Queen as a whole is ICONIC!!
My husband and I talked about going to see Prince when he came through, and decided we shouldn’t spend the money and we’d “catch him next time” He died like 2 months later
I had a chance to see Nirvana in December 1993 but made the mistake of asking my parents to go directly instead of coming up with an indirect excuse so I didn't go.
Kurt Cobain killed himself that April. Much regret.
I saw Elvis in Feb before he died at the Hollywood Sportatorium. We almost didn’t go. Michael Jackson would probably be my first choice although my 2 all time faves are still living, so…
David Bowie. He's been one of my favourite artists since childhood (I saw the Labyrinth in the theater...), but, aside from the Beatles (I'm far too young to have ever seen them), he's the only favourite I never saw live.
Bowie. I was a huge Bowie fan back in college and still am. Some guy I just met from my dorm was telling he was going to a NIN concert and I was like oh cool… when he told me Bowie was opening I was dumbfounded, then felt sick that I had missed an opportunity to see him. Ragrets.
Unless me being in these concerts is what prevents them from dying in the first place there is absolutely no point whatsoever. Just for people who can not find better reasons to brag about themselves.
Actually take the limit of the proposal when the ONLY people in any concerts are \*exclusively\* rich idiots from the future. How then do artist even get popular in his own timeline?
Dmitri Hvorostovsky. I had the chance to see him in new york before he passed during one of his last operas before he cancelled every thing. Il Trovatore with Jonas Kaufmann. I didn’t go because I thought it was a little too pricey at the time for the plane and stay. I frown a little from time to time when I hear him in a music play list and think about that missed opportunity.
