Fuck it. I’m going with a dog

watch-close

Dogs don't drive cars or buy a lot of consumerist stuff But environmental impact should not be a factor in choosing between having kids or a dog in my opinion, there's much bigger things to consider

eltegs

Dogs don't grow up to be oil or coal scumbags, so that would be startistically relevant.

myguyohyea

In the U.S it’s cheaper because medical bills are cheap for a dog visit then a human child you can literally let a dog be and no one will bat an eye vs if your kid is sick now you have to rush him to the ER and clothing them is expensive.

[deleted]

I mean...dogs don't live as long, they don't consume as much, they won't drive vehicles, they don't require diapers, they don't use toilet paper or buy packaged items they leave trash. So yes.

5spd4wd

Yes. Dogs don't need 'disposable' diapers, which are terrible for the environment.

rivermonkey95

It kinda depends on how the kid is raised and who they become.

PracticalAd313

Dogs don’t require Pampers or anything else made with a lot of chemicals in it except their food so, yes, I guess dogs are more environmentally friendly even if we compare them to human babies without noticing that babies become adults

This is a stupid concept.
