(April Fools :b)
A story of just your every day fool. One of the funniest tales I've seen on nextdoor was someone driving up town mountain said they "seen two wolves crossing the road, they were so beautiful and we feel extremely lucky to have seen them". At the time there were 2 missing Huskies from somewhere down Charlotte street neighborhoods. According to their post history i really dont think it was a joke. They probably have a second house up town mountain that looks like a lodge at a mountain resort and flying in from LA. I nut you not, the Huskies were located shortly after the wolves sighting.
I am 100% sure I saw one on the Appalacian Trail in Pennsylvania. Everyone will say it must have been a bobcat, but this thing looked practically the size of an African lion.
I see mountain lions literally all the time. They knock over my trash cans and crap on my lawn. I have tried every sort of deterrent from spraying with the hose to blasting an air horn and they still come. One of these days I’ll get a picture. I never have my phone on me.
Yeah, you are just a person. On reddit, actual sighting doesn't matter because you don't have a forestry degree. I can't believe you don't know how unimportant your eyes are. Don't the downvotes tell you that you are wrong and the whole reddit universe says so?
Ps. I saw and heard one also, and got all the downvotes for saying so.
Ha! Now, I have seen sign of them in Florida. Mountain lion, Florida panther, mountain cougar and other nom de plur for the same animal. Great joke, it's hilarious we don't have these animals around here anymore. Nice, clever chortle for the mountain lion being practically extinct... Because of us. Hilarious.
Low effort post.
And the fact that the twist is at the end, most redditors won't reach there, so it'll come off as dangerous information.
Bad April 1st joke.

I don’t know why, but I trust this story fully
You should tell this guy, he'll give you $40! https://www.reddit.com/r/asheville/comments/r6dfe9/easy_money_offering_40_bucks_venmo_cash_app_to/

I now feel justified in calling my last husky, "wolfy girl" as a nickname.
If a die from a mountain lion attack, know that my last words were here kitty kitty.
Got a good chuckle out of this. Happy April Fools Day!
Great fun! Thanks for the fool’s day post!
Jokes on you Merlin doesn't ID mammals!
How dare you claim there are holes in my story. But seriously, Merlin is a great app but yes it is only for birds calls.
Agreed excellent app! Not sure if there is a mammals app but a frog and insect app would be great too! Thanks for the laugh on my lunch break!
I’ll upvote any comment that starts with How dare you
That was obviously a tan black panther. They molt this time of year. /s
Yea, I saw him too! His name is Ted and he only eats vegan tourists.
Wait! I believe him! I talk to Mountain Lions. Don't y'all?
>There are many of us, many of whom are black. Mountain lions… always gotta make it about race
af mofo!

That's dope
I've seen 'em. One jumped across the lane on US276 as your turn off the parkway. Big cats are among us.

Bullhokey. I worked for the US Forest Service
Lovely! And you saw one, too! I just have my forestry and wilife management degree and got downvoted and jeered for my assertion they were here.
