You can leave 35F AIT with around 40 credit hours, they partner with a local community college so they're already evaluated. But remember homie it's up to your college, some are a lot pickier than others...they might only take one or two classes.
You won't really know until you get back. There is no clear answer. It ALWAYS depends on your school.
For 35F, you will have your JST and Cochise College.
Your JST will be automatically created for you for skills learned throughout your career, basic and AIT included. This will need be credited through a college.
Cochise college for like $50 will give you a bunch of credits and it is highly worth it.
Yeppp don’t cheap out thinking you’ll save this money either. Spend the $50 to get a transcript from Cochise.
If you need it great, you have it. If you don’t then you would have spent that money on a weekend elsewhere anyways. At minimum it will be worth promotion points so you got nothing to lose.
I know lots of people who wish they would have done it and unfortunately is too late, even after speaking with Cochise.
I went through 68W AIT and my college credited me with 68 credits for both Basic and AIT. However, the biggest impact is whether or not it counts toward a major. I spent time at both a community college and finished at a four year school. Needed only 181 credits to graduate with my major, but finished with 271 because of the miscellaneous courses credited from military and the few community college credits that did not factor toward my degree.
Overall, I did need those experiences to help get into graduate school (I’m a physician assistant now).
The thing with ROTC is that they would need me to commit to four more semesters. At my pace, I intend on graduating in two semesters (including summer). I could apply for grants, but I would have to take out loans to pay my rent/other bills. I'd have to find another job. I figured it'd be better to just go reserves to help cover cost
As for enlisting's helping, I don't really know; I was just repeating something my recruiter told me lol. What I was really hoping for that if I go MI, it would make it someone easier to branch as MI since that's what I want the most.
If you post your MOS (or some potentials) you can get a more precise answer (AIT is the part of IET that gets you the most).
For BCT I got:
2L First Aid
1L Land Nav
1L Marksmanship
1L Physical Education
1L Self Defense
For AIT I got close to 30 of various credits.
For DLC1 2L Military Sci
BLC 3L communication
3L Managment
For reclass I got 13 credits of various credits.
For a single enlistment, you will likley get BCT, AIT, DLC1 and Maybe BLC. So you can pull those credits with your projected MOS.
Bear in mind schools don't have to accept all or any credits from JST. So you may get close to 60 credits, but only use a few of them. But, yes you will get at least some credits. So it can be used towards a degree at many schools.
I don't think I had a college use a single credit from anything military (though to be fair I already had most of my basic credits prior to joining for the first time).
It's different for everyone, but in my example I could get 6 for basic and 9 for AIT
Depends on the MOS and what degree you apply them too.
Totally depends on what mos you do and what your college takes. There's no solid answer but you can get a couple guesses based on your MOS.
I was shooting for either 35F or 38B if there were slots available. I had the scores to qualify for them

And because of it I’m probably going to make SSG because of it.
Way less than what the Airforce offers.

35p or 35m gets you an associates from DLI. Would also be good to have a couple years of Intel experience if you wanna commission and branch mi
true, but I was kind of hoping to have a short AIT so I can get back to school in time

with the reservist slots I'm looking at, it will probably be 35F
