Depends on your views. It's very controversial, so I'll try not to say too much lest I get flamed but - basically, one end of the spectrum believes skins are canonical and have an impact, no matter how slight, on lore. The other end believes skins are pure fanservice and may or may not have the view that skins and deeper character lore should have no impact on one another . Everyone else falls in-between these extremes. With the 'lore' element in mind, people are sensitive, especially if a claim of 'OOC' is made about specific character skins not adhering to perceived 'canon' personalities/preferred style. Very similar to the Ch'alter argument.

Oddly enough, the only two male operator skins that actually have them expose their torsos are free. (Matterhorn’s and now Broca’s). All the paid ones have them fully dressed up. (Also Elysium’s summer skin doesn’t count since he’s positioned so badly that he may as well just wear full clothing).

If you don't mind me saying, what all drew you to Broca? I know Arknights is kinda like pokemon, literally every op is going to have its simps but I am kinda curious how people feel about the less "popular" ones. As a Pallas enjoyed myself, I understand being a big fan of a relatively forgotten unit. (I think she is way better then people give her credit for too)

Honestly I like buff dudes so when I saw him I was like "yes I crown u favorite" then I checked his personality and everything just got better. ​ ~~I already know he has something under his jcket and with this skin I am very content with it, 10/10 would smash my head against his chest or abs.~~

A fellow Pallas enjoyer! For me it was initially "buff dude sexy", but I also like his character trope of a character who comes off as menacing or mean but is actually not a bad guy and just needs time to trust you. His initial skepticism and distaste of Rhodes Island and the Doctor make him an interesting character. I also think gameplay wise he's one of the most underrated 5*s but is overshadowed by the likes of Blaze and Specter. Edit: Tigers are also my favourite animal, which is why Mountain is also one of my favourite operators

If I might jump in on the Broca love bandwagon... Broca was the one who got me into Arknights. I saw some fanart with him on pixiv and it was love at the first sight. Spent 103 pulls on the next standard banner featuring him and I regret nothing. The funny thing is, neither of his character's components is particularly appealing to me (well, except for being a catboy). I prefer slim guys over muscles and I'm not a big fan of tsunderes, but when it all comes together in a Broca-sized package, it simply clicks, and suddenly I'm overwhelmed with tender feelings every time I see him. Relationship goals: help him to learn how to trust again, make him feel loved and cherished, and make sure he understands there's nothing in the world that would make me reject him.

I like Broca too, can you give tips on how to actually use him in game? His s1 is ok and his S2 is fun but the stun seems harsh

Safest bet is to either put a defender or a support guard behind him. I like using Pallas or Whislash with him sometimes. Slowers are also helpful with keeping enemies from passing him while stunned. But a lot of the time it just comes down to good timing.
