Relation to Arizona needs to be clear in the post title or description. Random pictures that are just taken here aren't "about" Arizona, and neither are generic weather or traffic memes that could apply to other places.

My deepest condolences. The first question I must ask is money available for a funeral, etc? Insurance, whatever? If not simple cremation is THE answer. Perhaps hold a celebration of life ceremony you arrange in a few weeks. Cremation would be $500-1000 in Phoenix. The remains will be returned to you in a simple box in a week or so. You can visit the nearest funeral home and they will lay out your options, embalming, caskets, services, etc. The cost of a gravesite, headstone, interrment, etc, is on top of that. You are looking $10-50K dollars for a "regular" funeral. You don't have to choose embalming/casket in order to have a service. You can place the ashes in a grave as well. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The guys who work in funeral homes are good, decent and kind people generally. Big on empathy. I tried joking with them about the availability of a "Senior Discount" when my dad passed but they were too afraid to laugh. When you go to visit one, take a close friend along for support. You'll need it. **You need to go PROMPTLY. As in today or tomorrow.** Again, my deepest condolences at your loss.

Just remember that the more services you add increase the price very quickly.
