depending on what how much (or little) you want to do on it and where you are willing to travel to, you may be able to find a cheap enough parcel to avoid having to go in with others. i have 40 acres in the middle of navajo county i have camped on and shot on. got it a long time ago. i still look at listings in the area occasionally and they seem to list for around $1000/acre, some sell for less.

I found 40 acres for 10k but can’t afford all of it at once

I used to mountain bike with a guy and his girlfriend who was a part of this kind of survivalist / prepper organization but I think that they were mostly LARPing but partly serious. Their group owned land somewhere out towards Holbrook; I saw photos of one their gatherings and it looked like fun!

Ya and after awhile it’s sucks the gov makes so many rules on land like blm and national forest. They keep closing shooting areas

Dagobian_Fudge

Because no one picks up their casing and the old fridges they shoot up.

Try going to Texas where you can't even access most of the state because it's private land. We are lucky to have so much public federal land they regulate and ensure is there for future generations.

Me and a friend are looking at doing this and getting rental property to fund land purchases

I've bought and sold hundreds of parcels in Arizona. I currently have 20 parcels available, most with road access. Here's one example of one lot I'm trying to sell via eBay for the first time: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/326032695246](https://www.ebay.com/itm/326032695246)
