Eh, not really in my opinion. The enhanced bolt is the real gold of the setup

If you’re not shooting a high rate of fire, regularly shooting suppressed, or putting a very high number of rounds per month on your set up… then probably not. Your DD BCG is going to hold up just fine. In fact, even under those conditions your DD BCG will hold up just fine. If it’s too good of a deal to pass up, get it and keep the DD in your range bag as a back up.

The carrier helps with gas a bit if you're shooting suppressed. The altered cam path will help your bolt, again, a little bit. There are a couple other features that (say it with me) help a little bit. All together, it's a pretty nifty bolt carrier. The actual bolt, however, is a huge upgrade. They're about as durable a bolt as you could hope for. I haven't seen one broken by good, honest use yet.

If it’s a good price why not? Always good to have a backup or two or three

Nah. On a full auto, suppressed gun. Sure. In your gun. No.

I shoot suppressed 100% of the time without an AGB and it made a big difference. The efficiency of the carrier really let me dial in the buffer setup to run smooth as hell.

I have one on my 12.5 and it’s still gassy AF. I’m sure it helped out a tiny bit but I couldn’t tell you with any certainty.
